I grew up in Kingston, Ontario, attended Queen's and then got my doctorate in physics at Princeton. My specialty was high temperature superconductivity. In 1994 I switched to the financial world, working in Philadelphia, Paris, and then Tokyo where I met my wife, Tara. Our daughter was born a few years later and I moved on from my position at Morgan Stanley Japan to become a stay-at-home dad. Now I'm back in Kingston and I am the Executive Director of SWITCH, Kingston's Alternative Energy Cluster.
