Third Top Tips Thursday

Well what fantastic homework you handed in last week - you can all have an A plus!!??!! and a gold star for effort.
I can't believe it's Thursday again already, I'm sure someone is eating half my week :c)
Today we have another colouring treat for you but this time with Prisma Pencils. I can maybe stay off the naughty step this week as they might rub off the walls unlike the Promarkers - ooooppppsss!

Hi my lovely Teddy Bo Friends, here is Nicole.

Today it´s my turn at Teddy Bo´s top tips and I want to show you how I colored the sweet bears with Prismacolor pencils.

What do you need for coloring with Prismacolor pencils :
pencils in various colors
odorless turpentine substitute
Paper stumps
something to sharpen the paper stumps
I used a buffer from nail design

During the coloration with prismas, you should always wipe in a circular motion, then you have a nice gradient and a great result.

I always put two pictures side by side. On the left-hand side you can see the picture with the colors I used, and on the right-hand side of the picture you see how it looks, after I wiped it with DiluentN (odorless turpentine substitute).
 Picture #1
as primary colour I've used PC 1085

Picture #2
the next color I've used is PC 1080

Picture #3
then I've used PC 1082

Picture #4
finally I've used PC 942 and for the cheeks I use
PC 1031 and PC 944

Picture #5
for the dress I chose the color pink, PC 1018

Picture #6
then I used a darker pink, PC 1017

Picture #7
for the shoes and the ribbons of the hat I've used two different tones of brown, first PC 1082 and then PC 948

Picture #8
In the end I made a shadow around the image. For the shadow I've used the colors PC 1069 and PC 1072. I added some glitter for the star and the wings.

So now you can colour Bea with Prisma Pencils as well as Promarkers.
Hugs
Nicole

So how about a bit more colouring homework this week? And if you use a Teddy Bo image we'll ask the boss to send you a freebie - am really looking forward to seeing what you create this week as the pencils are so soft and effective.

They would be perfect for the Things with wings Challenge that has been running since Tuesday and you could add a sentiment from Wordy Wednesday plus if you get on with it today you can put your feet up with a cuppa in time for Fairytale Friday.

We're still looking for new inhabitants for the padded comfy rooms at the Towers but you need to get in fast as you only have until tomorrow 12 noon UK time to enter.
Have a furry great week !!??!!

  7. Hi Nicole, I want to thank you for the golden tip to put some shade around the image. Thanks a million! I really like it, I love that special effect! You're a great teacher!

  8. Hi there, many thanks for the lesson. I'm fairly new to Prisma's and don't have all the colours you used - so I winged it a bit! But I'm glad I read your lesson as I've learned a lot. For example I hadn't been using a base colour before, I had just been colouring the edges deeply and then drawing the colour out into the middle. I don't know that my image is as professional as yours, but it's a start. Sarah
