Legoland, SB 2014

Great. I think I got it. But just in case... tell me the whole thing again, I wasn't listening.

Spring Break?!

I've had a very eventful past 5 days beginning with chaperoning a field trip for Jack and Ben and their first grade classes to the Desert Botanical Gardens.  After 3 hours of walking around in the desert with a bunch of first graders, I met Wade to play racquetball and got a black eye when I stepped a little too close to his racquet!  The next day, we loaded up the car early and drove to San Diego. We got there at about 3pm and by 4pm we were hiking Torrey Pines with my dad, walking along the beach, collecting shells and rocks, and watching the sunset over the ocean. That night we got to visit with my brother Todd for a bit and had a delicious dinner made by my dad. Saturday morning, we drove to Carlsbad and spent the day at Legoland, then met my dad, Aunt Dianne and Glenn for dinner. We woke up early Sunday to head home and were back to Arizona by 3pm. It was a whirlwind trip, but we had fun! And of course, I started to feel "allergies" as we were driving to SD on Friday and by that night had a full-fledged, knock-me-out, sinus pressure, coughing, sneezing cold. Yuck! I spent the day at Legoland looking (from the black eye) and feeling (from the cold) like death.  Now the boys have a week off school to relax and recover.  I however, have a class that starts today. :(

Jack (2nd from the left) and Ben (far right) with their 2014 basketball team.  Last year was their first time playing and they improved so much this year!  They were the only 1st graders on their team of kindergartners.  Because they were the only boys who had played before and had a little more experience, they lead their team in shooting and rebounds, and improved their guarding, dribbling, and passing abilities!
