Here is a quick card for Card Patterns Sketch #38. I need lots of Thank You cards so the sketch was very helpful! It was quick and easy and fun!

I did a project for the Gypsy 24 Hour Challenge ~ to win a trip to NY you need the most votes. Here is the link to my project:

Please Vote for My Project in the 24 Hour Gypsy Design Challenge!!

Last weekend I went to Idaho to see my sister at my parents house! She is from Texas, I'm from Oregon and we saw how powerful the Cricut Gypsy really is! She brought the Gypsy from Texas and I brought the Cricut from Oregon and in 3 hours Saturday night we made a cool project ~ a word book for my daughter's cross country season (which I will share when it is completed finished with pictures ~ there is one more meet tomorrow!).

Well, to make a long story short, I was completely, incredibly hooked on the Gypsy and went to Michaels during the week to buy one (I had a $70 gift card for bosses day which helped a lot!). Saturday, I loaded all my cartridges and today I did a project for the 24 hour Gypsy Challenge! Starting tomorrow, you can vote for that project (just for a couple days). The winner of the 24 hour challenge wins a trip for 2 to NY to a grand opening of a new Michaels + broadway tickets and spending money! Ooooh! Aaaaah! I would take my sister because she and I would have sooooo much fun! Thanks for voting! Here is the link to my project:

Card patterns #35 - A couple "purple" cards

I had 2 cards to make for work this week so I used Card Patterns #35 to do it. Both of the gals love purple so here they are!

The paper was all from my stash! The Happy Birthday was cut from the cricut Lyrical Letters cartridge and the thank you from Beyond Birthdays. Photo corners (on thank you) and the swirl are quickutz.

The buttons were reflections (from Michael's) ~ I really love patterned buttons as they add so much!

Well off to work I go soon!

Card Patterns #35 - Fall Door Hangers!

I made a door hanger the other day using 2 Sketches 4 You but I needed another door hanger for work so this time I'm using Card Patterns! Don't you just love the sketch challenges!!

I actually made several of these ~ I'm going to give one to my mom and one to each of my sisters (I made 2 almost alike ~ and if you are my sister reading this blog then I guess the surprise will be ruined!).

The fall and fabulous were both cut from the Ashlyn's alphabet cricut cartridge. The paper is from the Making Memories fall 8 X 8 paper pack and one very old DCWV fall paper pack (don't know how long it has been hanging around).

I copied the ribbon folding idea from another person who submitted a card for this sketch (I'm sorry I can't remember who it was!). I was so intrigued on how it was done with a stapler that I had to try it! The turquoise colored ribbon I just got at Michaels (40% off) and the plaid had been hanging around for awhile!

The little photo corners are quickutz.

It was very fun to use the turquoise color with fall!

Thanks for taking a look! Hope everyone has a great week!

World Card Making Day ~ Halloween Cards Using 2 Sketches 4 You WCMD Sketch

I actually had some time today to create some cards and it is World Card Making Day! I don't think I've ever had time before! Yeah! I used the 2 Sketches 4 You special WCMD Sketch for all 4 of these cards!

I was out running errands today and stopped by Paper Zone and Michaels and picked up some Halloween themed paper and embellishments (like had none in my stash!!!).

The first 2 cards use paper from the Recollections Paper Pack (Michaels). The paper had a border on it with all these cute characters so I used a CD as a pattern and cut some of them out. The other side of the paper was the green pattern. So I got 2 cards out of one piece of paper.
The ribbon, bling, and charm also came from Michaels. The stamp is an Inkado and I got that at Paper Zone.

For the other 2 cards (each a teeny bit different), I used Basic Grey Paper, a Teresa Collins stamp and the same ribbon, charms, and bling from Michaels.

I love the Halloween paper that combines orange, purple, green and black. It is so striking and you don't see it much of the rest of the year!

2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan Sketch #36 - A Door Hanger!

In the summer, I had made a couple door hangers with sketches and Kazan's sketch just made me think of one for fall! I wanted to do one so it was perfect!
The size of this is 8 X 8 and the paper is from a Making Memories 8 X 8 fall pack that I got at Michaels. I got the ribbon at Michael's also. The tree and Fresh Air are from the Cricut Graphically Speaking Cart and Fall is from the Cricut Ashlyn's Alphabet Cart. The pumpkin is a sizzix original and the leaf on the pumpkin and the owl are quickutz (I managed to use all my die cut systems in one thing!). The sparkly leaves are little buttons I got at Walmart when I did my daughter's outdoor school book!
I really like how it turned out! Thanks Kazan for a great sketch!
