13 Days of Halloween Blog Hop Day 5

DAY 5
Welcome to the 13 Days of Halloween Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled from Oct. 19 at 8:00 am through Oct.31 at 11:00 pm (central time).  It's that time of year when the nights are all spooky and creatures are known to wander the forests.  So sit for a spell with a nice cup of hot apple cider and check out all the great projects.

If you just happened upon this hop, then welcome, but make sure to go back to the beginning and start at Lisa's blog.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a 13 day hop with only 13 blogs to visit so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup 13 times.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back all 13 days to see great projects.

Here is the complete lineup:
Lisa
Pam
Janet
Doris
Kristen
Nicolette
Jearise
Tami
Amy
Brynn
Scraps to Treasures
CallyAnn
Gill
My project for today is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. The card is made from black card stock. A Top Note was cut from Sizzix, then another one cut from black and trimmed on the perforation line.  The images were stamped  in white on the black. The ghost is made from a Stampin' Up owl punch and then the feet added. 2 small black circles were punched and two wiggly eyes.  The Spooky was stamped.

Happy Witches Halloween 3 Day Blog Hop Day 2

 DAY 2 of 3
If you just came from Zentita's blog, then you are right where you are supposed to be. If you have happened upon my site, then great, but I am the last one on this hop and you have missed so much, so please start at the beginning on Angela's blog and make your way back to me.   So, time to start thinking about Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays, because it is in my favorite season - Fall. I love the warm colors and all of the small kids who come trick or treating with their special cute costumes on.  Some of them are too scared to come to the front door because my husband does a good job of decorating the outside and making it a bit too scary for the little ones. I miss not being able to eat candy anymore, but then I guess that's good, since it doesn't add weight to me either.

This is a 3 day hop and we had a choice of putting up one project for all 3 days or 1 for each day. I have chosen to post 1 project for each day, so make sure to come back and see my 1st project below, if you missed it and the 3rd project tomorrow.

For my second day I am posting a Halloween card that I made today.  I had fun pulling out stamps and Halloween bling. I have so many stamps, OMW! How will I ever use them in a lifetime?  LOL. Well I'll give it a good try, since I plan on being around, for quite some time yet.

This is just a basic card and on the front I didn't even use any stamps. I only cut paper. I had this one big piece of paper with this haunted house on it and a huge moon. I am sure that it would have made a good scrapbooking page, however, I saw it as a card. So I cut out the haunted mansion and punched out a circle for the moon with the bat. It had the sparkly trim on the bottom, so I cut a piece of that out too. I found some Martha Stewart paper that I had with glittery pumpkins, so added for of those on the bottom. Then I had some shiny ghost brads that I used for coming out of the chimneys. I will add some Halloween sentiment stamp on the inside for the recipient.

I am the last on the hop, but remember to start at the beginning again on Angela's blog for some new projects tomorrow. Hope you found some sweet treats along the way!
Don't miss it, since there are some very talented ladies in the lineup of the hop:

Happy Witches Halloween 3 Day Blog Hop

 DAY 1 of 3
If you just came from Zentita's blog, then you are right where you are supposed to be. If you have happened upon my site, then great, but I am the last one on this hop and you have missed so much, so please start at the beginning on Angela's blog and make your way back to me.   So, Time to start thinking about Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays, because it is in my favorite season of fall. I love the warm colors, all of the small kids who come trick or treating with their special cute costumes on.

I have chosen to post 1 project for each day, so make sure to come back and see the other 2 projects.

For my first day I am posting a pumpkin pail. I made 30 of these for my daughter's class. She is a teacher and I like to make her class something for each holiday. I added a pencil to each bucket, along with candy.  It is made with Sizzix die cut out 3 times and taped together. A circle was attached at the bottom of the pail.  I attached a green handle, circles for the eyes, a triangle for a nose, and two photo corners for the mouth. I added shredded paper on the inside to give it a scarecrow look.

This is the Sizzix pillow die. You need to cut 3.  This is the large circle die. You need to cut 2.

Tape all 3 pillows together. Cut off the top perforated edges

Cut out 2 large circles from the circle die.  Put tape on the inside and outside edges of the flaps on the bottom of the pail.

Put one circle on the inside of the pail and one on the outside and squish them together.   Use ink to distress all of the creased edges of the pail. Add the handles with brads. Add the faces.

I am last on the hop, but make sure you start over again tomorrow to see a new project again.

World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop Day 4 of 5 Days, October 5th

I am participating in the World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop. It is a 5 day hop, with this being the 4th day of the hop. I am only one participant of many. Participants are from all over the world, so please be patient with the posts. Check back later if their post is unavailable, due to different time zones. We are also donating cards to charities in different countries.

Now for the hop - if you have arrived here in blogger land and want to hop along then go back and start at the beginning at Gill's site, then come back and visit me. She is the hostess and there are 10 participants each day. You will also find out about all of the blog candy that is up for grabs.

Each day remember to leave  comments on ALL of the blogs in the hop, as you need to comment to be eligible to win the prizes, divided up into a top 3, and Gill will announce the winners  later in the week after the hop closes on her blog.

Now on to my card. I am in the middle of making Halloween cards, so I decided since it is October and my house is decorated that I would post a Halloween card. It is one of my favorite holidays. There is no stress, just fun costumes and candy. I enjoy all of the fall colors too and some of my decorations are left up until after Thanksgiving. We take a trip to a special pumpkin patch farm every year and now with having grandkids it is an all day outing, with many activities for the kids, a hay ride and a corn maze. So much fun for one day.  I love the changing of the fall leaves. Beautiful colors are abound. I also love October, because it is my birthday month. I love this card and hope you do too!
My card is a standard A2 size card. I used yellow card stock for the card. The background paper is DCWV paper that I bought at Joann's. I cut a piece of orange card stock and punched the pumpkins on the top with a Martha Stewart pumpkin edge puncher, then put yellow paper behind the orange paper. I added the words Harvesting Candy, cut from a piece of Martha Stewart's Halloween pack. I think this was last year's paper. The whole thing is popped up.  The candy corn strip is from Heidi Grace Jeepers Creepers Candy Corn paper. I then used a tag that I had in my stash that was the right color, along with some pumpkin ribbon and a brad. Then I cut out the boots from Heidi Grace Jeepers Creepers Boots paper, popped them up and added the pumpkin, which is from Sandylion Essentials. It is also popped up.

I decided that the inside of the card needed to be decorated too, so I cut a piece of harvest yellow card stock out on the Spellbinder, using the 2nd to the largest Fleur De Lis die.  The sentiment is stamped with an acrylic stamp from Studio G and then embossed.  The candy and candy corn is stamped with Studio G acrylic stamps and then colored with Copics. I popped up the candy pieces. The trip on the top and bottom is from the same Heidi Grace paper as the candy corn paper from the front, just a different strip on the paper was used.

Your next stop is Theresa. Make sure to continue on and see what these talented ladies have made for you to see today

HAPPY HOPPING!
