TOO LONG!!!

It has been too terribly long since I have posted that I decided I needed to update everyone on us. I have had entirely too many people telling me to update the blog, so here is a little snip-it(is that the right word), of what has been going on with us since Apisai was born.

In September of 2010 Ife became a U.S. Citizen. Hooray for him and hooray for us not having to pay any more money for Naturalization stuff :) We spent the weekend in Boise and had a fun family vacation there. We went to the zoo and swimming park. We went to the old prison there. That was pretty cool too.

In October I started a "Feel Great in Eight" program with my little sister. I lost 20 pounds in October and November. YAY ME!!! Ife got called as the Elders Quorum President in our ward and became REALLY busy. It's been awesome actually learning who different people in our ward are. You don't meet anybody being in Nursery forever. For Halloween Saki was a bag of M&M's, Kaveni was a dinosaur and Apisai was a Bumblebee. SO CUTE!!!

In November I don't really remember what we did. I do remember we did a lot of raking. All from one tree that we have in our front yard. Awww, I miss fall. Ife threw me a birthday party. I know...props to him huh. It was fun and I am old (27). When my friend asked I couldn't remember if I was turning 26 or 27. Just after we got all of our leaves raked up we had a huge snow storm. Saki was quite the helper shoveling the snow (he was using a dustpan). Kaveni also turned two. (This age might be the death of me).

In December we were overwhelmingly blessed. Someone secretly gave us a Christmas. We didn't think we would have much of one, but we learned that there are people out there who are always aware of our needs. This was probably the most special Christmas we have had in our married life and will never forget the love we felt for our Savior in our home. Saki turned four and had his first big birthday party with friends. He got spoiled. We had lots of Christmas parties and ate way too much junk food.

In January I did another round of "Feel Great in Eight" and lost 24 more pounds over the next eight weeks. Boo-ya!!! Ife started feeling left out so he got a gym membership :). Ife also got called on a few fires. He's volunteering at the fire department and has really enjoyed it. Doesn't he look hot as a fireman!!!

In February I went to Hawaii with my sisters. It was so much fun and a well needed trip. Thanks to everyone for the different hook-ups while we were there. The kids got really into building forts and thought they had to have a sleepover in a different place every night.

In March 2011 Ife's mom came to visit for a while. It was great to see her and the kids LOVED spending time with her. I got called as the Young Women's 2nd Counselor and am loving it. I really enjoy working with the girls. It is a change from Nursery, but has been so much fun so far.

HAHAHA!!! Fast forward to March 2012.  I can't believe it has been this long.  I wrote this post a year ago and meant to put pictures with it and all, but alas, our computer broke.  That is why I haven't posted or didn't end up putting any pictures on.  To put things shortly, 2011 was a very difficult year for our little family, but 2012 is going great and we are loving life.  Ife is working at the county jail and loving it, and I am still working as a dental hygienist.  Saki is in preschool and can't wait until he goes to 5 year old school (kindergarten).  Kaveni goes to Early Intervention School a couple of days a week and seems to enjoy it.  He keeps me busy with all of his speech therapy sessions.  Apisai is 19 months and acts like he is 2.  I was SO happy when he went to nursery ;).  I do plan to keep things updated and next time with pictures!!! Still no computer though :(, but don't worry, I keep updated with everyone on my phone :)

Anyway, we are doing fantastic and always staying incredibly busy. I envy those moms that have to think of things to do during the day. I want to have time like that some day. :)

7. cringing when we heard Saki tell Ife "hey dad, I got a knife"

8. working to get some shots of Kaveni in between the candy bribery

Introducing...

Apisai Tuiloma Tabakece
August 9, 2010
11:36 p.m.
6 lbs. 14 oz.
20 inches long
He looks exactly like Saki did when he was born.

I felt soooo crappy during the c-section. You can see how huge my left arm is from the blood pressure cuff cutting off my circulation. They also laid me back way too far and my eyes felt like they were going to pop out of my head. They had me back so far that the anesthesia started going too high and I couldn't breathe. Luckily they had lots of people around to take care of me when everything seemed to be going wrong. Here is my first moment with Apisai.

Here they are weighing him. Funny that I carried him the longest out of all of my kids and he still weighed less than Kaveni.

This was the sweetest moment. Saki has been such a good helper with Apisai. I can already see the special bond that all of these three boys have together. It is amazing to watch how much they care for and try to protect each other.

Tax Return!!!

Well, as most of you know, we are expecting a great tax return since we bought our first home last year and were able to cash in on the $8000 tax credit. So, for the past six months I have been deciding whether to spend the money on this...The one we have now is a nice sturdy table with mismatched chairs and a bench. My lovely sister got it for us at a garage sale after hearing our first encounter feeding the missionaries and sitting on the floor. It is just big enough for our family, so when we feed the missionaries now or have other guests it sometimes gets a little cramped. Then I thought...wouldn't this be lovely...

to spice up the bedroom a bit...since what we have now is...well, a bed... but I have to add that it is a king sized bed and very comfortable, not to mention our very first purchase as a married couple. But, nobody could really enjoy it but ourselves so then I had finally decided to get this...

We don't really have a living room set right now, just a broken second hand recliner and a lovely little couch that can fold out into a bed. And it does work...the kids love the space they have to run and play and run some more. But then I thought how nice it would be to have one...JUST ONE...nice thing to show off. Anyway, so that is it. I was decided. Now as we are about to expect our return (I know we had to paper file because of the huge credit so it has taken months) we have changed our minds again... Instead, we are going to get this...
For Kaveni and Saki to share...and keep this

And with the extra money...and every dollar that we can find growing on our beautiful trees outside we are going to have this...
So for now we will keep our old treasures that we can get by with...and enjoy our greatest blessing of all...ANOTHER BOY!!! :) I just can't stop smiling. Ife said after we have enough boys for a rugby team we can START thinking about girls. :)

Why It's All Worth It!!!

I just had to quickly write down a conversation I had with Saki today.

ME: I love you Saki.
SAKI: I wub you too mommy.
ME: You're a good boy Saki.
SAKI: You're a good boy too mommy.

Someday I'll have to try to explain that I'm not a boy, but for now, I'll leave things how they are.
