Err...
Apparently, people are misunderstanding my previous post -.-"' So I have removed it.
There's nothing to worry about, people. Don't need to get as "worked up" as me here :)
Some updates.
I had my third and last orgo midterm yesterday. Did very badly, had half the multiple choice questions wrong, but luckily only 3 points taken off my short answer questions. So, if someone's reading this, now you know my grade. However, I still end up among the top 18 in the whole class of 150+. The exam was really super tough. I kinda regret deciding to kill off orgo in the summer, this is just near the end of session 1 and I'm already half dead(nearer to being dead). How can I continue to fight on in session 2 for orgo 2 and orgo lab together? The finals for orgo is next Friday, for calculus is next Thursday. I'm positive I'll go crazy by the time next Wednesday comes. Well, of course I won't be studying last minute, umm okay there're not even last minutes available since the lecture on the last chapter will be on Wednesday.
Anyway, enough about academic stuff. Like what cutie said, are we nerds? still talking about studies the other time we had a roomies online date :p
I've just been to an interview to be a student ambassador during the International Student Orientation this Fall semester. Really hope that I can get in. Besides being fun and all those stuff, I really hope to be able to contribute something for the international students community here. I still remember the first time I went for orientation at Stony Brook. The first person, first ever person that I met when signing up, is Lysha, a fellow Malaysian :) I was so, so grateful for her presence there! I never thought I would meet another Malaysian at Stony Brook, but I did. So, what I hope is that if there're any Malaysians coming in this Fall semester, I hope that I can give them the same impact that Lysha gave to me :) Also, sis is coming this Fall semester too, so haha I can be there for her if she needs any 'coddling' jkjk!! :p
Also, Far!! I received your photo journal yesterday!!! I was so happy! The moment I saw the handwriting on the envelope I knew it's from you :) I was planning to reply all the emails that I ever owe people on July 1st, cos it's the first day of the second half of the year(haha so? :p). But somehow I managed to reply just one person only, whom I owed an email for the longest of time, since December 21st, and it was done in such a hurry that I think I gave the impression that I was just 'entertaining' half-heartedly.
I'm happier at my workplace now. My supervisor and the other regular employees are beginning to open up to me (or is it me to them?). Inviting me to eat their ice-creams, snacks, or whatever stuff they brought to the office. Haha, I'll become fatter still if I really eat their food :p But it felt really nice to know they're accepting me, despite whatever 'discrimination' thingy that another Asian employee told me about. So, hopefully, I will be staying on this job until the day I graduate or transfer, although it's just boring office work :)
I've deactivated my facebook for the time being. It's really taking too much of my time. I can't have that happening for the finals next week. Maybe I'll get back on after finals, or maybe not, cos summer classes are really too packed for me to waste time on facebook. There are some people's messages that I didn't reply before I disable it, so I apologize for that, if you read my blog at least you'll know why. Just for Far's information, the reason I kept asking you to join facebook is because I reply facebook messages more often than I reply regular emails, so it'll be much easier for me to keep you updated. My intention is not to get you addicted to facebook ok! -.-"'
Alrighty, that's about it for now. Tomorrow's July 4th, US Independence Day. We're going to watch the fireworks at East River tomorrow night! Dad managed to get free tickets to watch from an exclusive place :) So yay! But it's forcasted to rain tomorrow, hopefully the rain clouds won't come and take away the spectacular fireworks from me(us), I really really need a break :( And just a reminder to self, last year's tomorrow, was my flight back to Malaysia. Sigh..I'm very homesick. Again.
Photos to share:
The front lawn(and driveway) at my place. That car's not ours, but it's the same model, different colour. And that's the US mailbox, number 66, where your letters to me will lie :)
What I like here is the yellow rose bush :) It smiles at me that way every single morning, and afternoon :) I just think that the glare from the car is quite extra, if not, the sunrays, in conjunction with the rose cluster, will make an absolutely nice picture.
Oh yeah oh yeah! I have one last thing to mention! Yesterday while I was driving home on the highway, after making a left turn at a large intersection, I saw this cutest thing of all! A mother duck, and her 8 ducklings or so, real tiny ones, lined up in a single file, was just starting to cross the wide stretch of highway road!! Ooohh..they looked so cuteeeee!!!! I passed by them before they got in front me, if not I really won't know what to do. After me though, was this red Jeep that stopped for them to finish crossing in front of it. And because the mother duck chose to cross at a place really close to the intersection, they caused quite a jam in the middle of the intersection, where the cars just got stuck in the middle. It was really dangerous actually, I was observing everything from the rearview mirror. But it was heart-warming to see that the mother duck and her children managed to cross the road safely. It was really cute, to see the ducklings waddle after their mom, and to see the mother duck pressed on her path ever so firmly, and umm I have to add, majestically. I wish I could take a picture to share, but too bad I was behind the wheel :( That scene has now been added to my collections in my brain though :) Love it! :)
