Happy Penguin Card

Josette here.  Have you seen the new stamp sets that are being released next month.  Oh they are wonderful.  When I first saw the promo sheet, my happy dance started when I saw the penguins.  I always look for penguins as my sister just loves them and this one was Perfect.  Remember the stamp sets are available for pre-order and are on sale!!!!
Here is my card:

I used the same "formula" for this one as for my snowmen cards.  But there are a few differences.

Background was stamped, and the snowflakes colored with a gel pen in Silver and Clear Star.  Then the background was inked with Cracked Pistachio and Chipped China.  Lastly was sprayed with water for this wintery mix background.  Double click on image for a close up of the distressing.

If you look close at the first penguin, when I added the water the ink ran.  No worries, stamped another, colored and fussy cut.  Using dimensional foam popped it over the Watery image.
Add Snow using modeling paste and sprinkled glitter into it while still well..
Added a few sequins, mounted it onto a card, Done!!
Be sure and stop by Sweet Stamps and check out all the new stamps. Start your New Year with inspiration.

Happy Crafting

Stencil in the Kitchen

Morning Sweeties, Nazeema here.
I hope that you all had amazing Christmas with all your loved ones yesterday.
We still have a few more families to visit during the holidays, but I've enjoyed every moment of it.

We never show up empty handed to our visits, so I have a little baking machine this year.
I even attempted to make my first Tiramisu cake!   The attempt was not difficult, it was the waiting to taste it that was. I wanted to let it chill for 8 hours or overnight!!
So I once I completed assembling the cake, the top looks rather bland and I could have just sprinkled cocoa powder, but I wanted it to look pretty!!
I went into my craft room and located my envelopes of SweetStamps Stencils.
I wanted to use a Star stencil, but I could not find it!!  Happens everytime!  :)
I laid the SweetStamps Encircled Diamonds on top of the Tiramisu and sprinkled the cocoa powder, using a shifter over top of the stencil.
I did get a little heavy handed on a few spots, but overall the Tiramisu looked AMAZING.
So make sure to remember all your craft tools when in the kitchen baking.
AND I am happy to report that it was also VERY DELICIOUS!!!  :)

Before I log off, wanted to you remind you that we still have 2 open challenges going on:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

You can find this stamp on the Sweet Stamp online store, as well as many other awesome floral stamps.  Watch out though, they are addicting and you may just find that some of them jump into your cart!

I definitely wanted to keep this card simple since the lettering of this digi is so gorgeous!  So just some scrap paper and baker's twine was more than enough to make this card stand out!!

Floral Thank You

Good morning people! Britt Bass here from Pink Paper Crowns!

I'm dropping by today to bring you a little card that I made using some beautiful floral images from the ATC line in the Sweet Stamps shop!\

For this card I took the Daffodils ATCParrot Tulips ATC, and the Black Eyed Susans ATC red rubber stamps and stamped them with Versamark ink and heat embossed them using the White fine detail embossing powder.  Then, I used several colors of Heidi Swapp color shine with a brush to lay down the colors on my background.

Once the water colors were completey dry I cut down the panel and mounted it on a 5x7 cardbase using pop dots.  I used large letter stickers for my sentiment and finished off the card with sequins, a strip of gold scallop edge paper and a faux stitching line around the parameter to pull some more white into the design.  I love how SUPER shiny it is and how beautiful the floral images stamped.

Don't forget to drop by the Sweet Stamps store and take a look at all of the gorgeous red rubber stamps!

Later queenies!

The entire is SUPER cute and it was a hard choice choosing one to work with!  :)
Here are the list of supplies used:

Medium: Copic
Paper: Recollections: Cozy Lodge
Other: Glitter Glue

Enjoy your weekend and I will see you again next week.

Jingle On The Beach

Happy Friday sweeties! Britt Bass here from Pink Paper Crowns.

I'm dropping in today to show you a SUPER cute SNEAK PEAK of a new image from Sweet Stamps!

What I love about these images is that they give you the option to make some holiday projects that reflect how people from warmer climates might celebrate Christmas!  I love, love, LOVE these cute, beach bum reindeer!  This lady is sunning herself under a breezy palm tree with her candy cane and a pair of sunnies! Take a look!

I first printed and colored the image with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and added highlights to the image with a white gel pen.  I fussy cut the image from the paper and set it aside.  I cut two panels of holiday scrapbooking papers from the DCWV "Christmas Wishes" 4x6 mat pad from 2014.  I tore the tops of each of the panels and layered them on a burlap cardbase - also from DCWV.

I used a sentiment and star embellishment as the inspiration for my whole sentiment.  I added the "to the Beach" with a mix of tiny type stickers and burlap printed letters from my stash. I adhered three transparent sequins around my sentiment and attached my sweet reindeer image with pop dots.  I finished the card with another chipboard embellishment that reads "the 25th".

Thanks for stopping by today!
Don't forget to go over to the Sweet Stamps' Store and get yourself a little something!!

Merry Christmas

Hi There! Kim here with a Christmas card using the Starflake Medallion stamp. I embossed the image with white fine detailed embossing powder and fussy cut the medallion. I placed it onto the card front using 3D tape. I then cut out the flower petals using the Pretty Petals Sweet Cuts die and trimmed the outer petals to form a small snowflake. I finished it with some rhinestones and an organza ribbon.

Kitty Sweets Card!

Hello, Britt Bass here to bring you a quick little post about a quick little card I made using Sweet Stamps' Kitty Sweets clear stamp set and Embossing Powder.

First, I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and fussy cut him out.  I wanted him to be wearing a little birthday hat, so I cut a triangle with a slightly rounded bottom out of a piece of patterned paper and outlined it with a black Memento marker to make it looked like it was stamped .  I then colored around the black line with white gel pen - that gave the hat the same little white border as the cat.  I attached the hat to my cat and added a button - cat complete!

I took a DCWV cardbase and three DCWV papers from the "Dots and Stripes" line and layered strips across the middle of the card, alternating colors within my color scheme. (Tip time! If you run your fingers under the edges of each layer it will give you some nice dimension without using pop dots! Just don't put adhesive all the way to the edges!)

Finally, I attached my cat to the card base and began working on my sentiment.  I stamped the frame and the "Wishes for a great Birthday" sentiment and embossed them using Silver Fine Detail embossing powder and Black Fine Detail embossing powder - respectively.  Once the senimtent was attached - the card was done!

I know that you all enjoyed the sketch I added to one of my posts last month, so I wanted to give you one for this card as well!

Now, don't forget to stop by Sweet Stamps for all your supplies this month!
Thanks for stopping by!

Flutterby Trio with Leah

I'm back some more sweet summer inspiration for you lol.  See, I am stuck on summer, no way around it, might as well embrace it!

I had a lot of fun with this card, and it turned out so totally different from where it started.  If you would like to see more details about how I created this card, please visit my blog at Ode to Paper.

For this project I used the Daisy Side rubber stamp, the Flutterby #2 Sweet Cuts die, a sentiment from the Kitty Sweets clear stamp set, and some wonderful Glastique! (I am totally in love with that stuff :)

You can find all of these products in the Sweet Stamps online shop, as well many more fun products that will spark your creativity.

Thanks for visiting, and check back often for more awesome inspiration from the new DT Sweeties!

Reindeer Friends!

Aloha everyone!  kel from Scraps & photoGRAFFS here again today!!

This cutie is from the Reindeer Friends Clear Set.  I also used one of the Oval Bezel Piccolos for the pink "Merry Christmas" background.  I covered the Piccolo with paper, and then used a sanding block to trim it and help seal the edges a little bit.  I also cut off the loop at the top of the bezel since I didn't want to use it as a charm but instead as a mat.  This little deer is a dear... heeheehee!!

Thanks for stopping by today, see you again soon!

A Snowman for You

Hello,
Thank you for joining me, Josette, for another Sweet Stamp Digital.  This is a sweet image.  There are in fact4 snowman and a tree in this grouping.  For my first card in December I took the tree and one snowman and brought them into photoshop and combined the images.  I will be sharing the rest of the snowmen as we go along through December.

Winter Treats 4 and Funky Christmas Tree.

This finishes as an A-2 card, is basically a flat one layer card and will be easy to mail.
Image was colored with Copic Markers
This is a view of the coloring before any embellishments were added.  There is white and black gel pens added to this image.  The eyes and the white highlights.

All of the embellishments have been added.  Wink of Stella, Stickles and a little snow.  This was mounted on a green paper mat, a red and white bow added, and then adhered to a White Card Base.

Simple but impressive.  If you need assistance with Digital images and photoshop, drop me a line.  There are also tutorials out there that show how to import and re size digital images.

Thank you for stopping by,
Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting
Josette
