Blossoms and Paisley

Happy Wednesday from Roxie!

The blossoms and background image are from the Always on My Mind set.  I colored the blossoms with Chameleon Pens, dry embossed them and popped them up on foam tape then added acrylic centers.  The panel is also popped up on foam tape.

Chameleon Pens color: PR4 and I held the color nib to the blender solution for 4 to 5 counts on the larger blossoms and 3 on the smaller.  Also BK4 to color the blossom edges.

Guest Post: Holly Brown with a CAS Christmas card

Howdy folks!  My name is Holly Brown, and I'm happy to be here as the Guest Designer for the month of December.  I was thrilled when I was asked to join Sweet Stamps as a guest designer - their stamps are awesome!   A little bit of trivia about me - I live in Texas with my hubby and our puppies, and I've been stamping for about 12 years now.  I love making cupcakes and I love to read when I'm not busy making cards.  My only problem is that I need a maid to clean up after me in the kitchen and the craft room.  LOL!!

I love the Christmas season and I love making Christmas cards.   This week's Sweet Stamps challenge is to make a Sweet and Simple Christmas Creation, so I kept that in mind when I created this card.  I pulled out the Holly & Berries stamp and stamped it in all four corners of my white cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Then I stamped the Merry Christmas Script sentiment in the center of the card with the same black ink.  The leaves and berries were colored with Copic markers and then I covered the berries with some Christmas Red Stickles.  Love that gorgeous glittery shimmer from the red Stickles!

To keep this card sweet and simple, I adhered the white cardstock to a green card base.  There's no extra layers and no bumpy embellishments, so this card is perfect to pop in the mail with a single first-class stamp.  I hope you play along in this week's Sweet and Simple Christmas challenge - you could win a $20 shopping spree!  :-)
