Baby You're a Firework...

Oh come on you know you are singing the song now, hehehe!  Hello!  Happy Happy Friday!!!  Lisa here with you and I'm so happy to share a card that was created more or less by accident! When I first started working on this card I was simply playing around to see how it would turn out stamping and embossing the fireworks in various embossing and enamel powders... then when it was done I loved it so much I had to use it... but where to put a sentiment?  Then vellum came to the rescue!  With a little embossing and some stickers... ta da!

See the pretty sparkles?!  I just love the SweetStamps.com embossing powders, there are so many fun choices and the colors/shine are amazing in person!

I hope you'll get a chance to join us in our challenge this week too!  The theme for this challenge is Anything but a Card... all products are welcome, and those using SweetStamps.com products get an extra entry!

Good luck and Happy Crafting!!!

Hangin' With My Peeps

Hello and Happy Friday!  Lisa here today to share a cute little Easter Card, perfect for this weekend...

Supplies:

To create this card I started by embossing the little Bunny Peeps in various colors.  Now the yellow bunny embossing powder was created by mixing several powders together.  I then layered some patterned paper, stamped the sentiment, and adhered the peep.  Ta - da!  Super clean and simple and let's not forget cute!!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that you'll get a chance to play along with our latest challenge: Hippity Hop

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

With Sympathy

Hello!  Lisa here today and I am sharing a way to make your stencil patterns softer...  Sympathy cards are sometimes the hardest to make, but are sometimes needed.  This card uses some stencil and embossing, but all of it is toned down for a softer effect...

By simply added the vellum, the whole card takes on a softer feel.  To create my stenciled panel I started by going over the stencil with purple distress ink.  I then flipped the stencil upside down and went over it with a soft blue distress ink.  I then embossed the floral images in gold, and layered it vellum and an embossed sentiment.  Tip: vellum is hard to adhere without leaving spots, but use embellishments as I have done to hide these spots.

Happy Anniversary - Embossing x2

Hello!!!  Lisa here today to share this Anniversary card I have created using double embossing...

What is double embossing you ask?  Well the background to this card was created by using white embossing paste and a stencil.  Next I covered it with embossing powder and heat set.  This is a great technique when you want your embossing paste to be a different color rather than the color you have.

The challenge at Sweet Stamps for this week is Winter Blues.

I used white glossy cardstock, swiped with the anti-static pad and embossed the flourish with White Detail EP.  I sponged on 4 colors of ink for a blustery look. I used Tidal Wave, Aquamarine, Nassau Blue Shades Die inks and Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  I swiped over the panel when done to remove any ink from the white embossing.
I had fun using a Globecraft Piccolo snowman, and embossed it using Aged White, Brownstone and Vintage Black Enamel EP. I also used the Aged White EP on snowflakes. I dabbed on a touch of Orange Copic marker through the back around the nose.
 The ribbon is Stampin Up.
There is a shimmer in the Embossing Powder that cannot be captured in a picture- just love it!

Girls Night Out

The challenge for this week (HERE) is Food and drink.
The Girls are 'Out' catching up over drinks : )  Maybe they are discussing their 2015 New Year Resolutions.......
I made the background using Ranger Distress Inks dabbed onto the craft mat, spritzed with water- and dried between each color.  I used Wild Honey and Barn Door, and  I flicked on a tiny bit of Black Soot. The Silhouette image from the Wine! set was stamped onto the panel. I added the chandeliers in using Fantasy Silver EP- they are actually the smaller wine glasses upside down.... : )
I was imagining the girls sitting in front of the big glass window enjoying the view.  So, I took the Stone Path ATC stencil and added embossing paste and embossed with BrownStone Enamel EP.  Normally, you let the paste dry prior to embossing, but I thought the bubbly look would be cool on the bricks, so I did not wait. I love the way it turned out.
