New Mercies

Sorry for the late post today.....time got away from me......

For my card, I used one of our older stamp sets, Everyday Miracles (which also happens to come in digi form), coupled with a new set, New Creature, being released February 1st. I just love butterflies.....they are one of God's most interesting and beautiful creatures. A big, fat, and sometimes ugly caterpillar turning into something so magnificent is such a beautiful picture of what happens to a person when they come to Christ. I can't wait to get to Heaven and see all the "butterflies" there :)! What a glorious and beautiful place it will be :)!!

The paper I used for this card is called Gossamer by Memory Box. I had been sort of hoarding it for a while, but finally decided to break it out so the rest of you could enjoy it's splendor :).

Have a blessed day!

The Best is Yet to Be...

Hi there! Hope you are having a great start to your weekend! I'm working today, but I wanted to share another Sweet 'n Sassy card with you! I'm having a great time being a Guest Designer and showing off their great stamps!

I love this open butterfly from the Everyday Miracles stamp set and I paired it up with these great colors from the Color Throwdown this week. I colored it with Copics and cut it out using the Spellbinders circle dies. I followed the Sweet Sunday sketch, but realized I probably should have stamped my butterfly a little higher in my circle. Oh well, I kept this one pretty simple...not too much embellishing since the beauty is really in the image! My sentiment is from the Love Sentiments set.

I hope you have a great day and stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy store to see what's new!

Planes and Butterflies

So I am back to health, completed my half marathon (walked it) and have come through as promised. Since I didn't have something new for you last week, I made up for that and also made my as planned new card for this week. So first up is my make-up from last week.

I have loved the Little Boy Toys set since I first saw it...how can you not love the little plane and rocket in the set (and then there is a truck too!). I watercolored my plane and added a little silver gel pen accents. I then cut it out and popped it up over top of a sky of shades of blue scallops. The card was then finished with the stamped greeting in the corner, ribbon, and a button with a little silver cording.

The second card I have for you today uses the current Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #74 (with a spin of Deep Red and Mustard colors) and the ever beautiful set, Everyday Miracles. I know I have said it before, but I love the butterflies in this set! Once again a I watercolored the butterfly so that it went from a deep red to orange to mustard yellow. This was then cut out and popped up on a circle that I randomly stamped the same butterfly in the three colors. Then I stamped the greeting and set it off with a scalloped circle and some black rhinestones.

See you back here next Tuesday!

Change is Good

Hi there! This is Andrea Vernagus signing in for my first assignment as one of September's Guest Designers. First let me say, how truly excited and honored I am to be here! I had the pleasure of working with Korin on the Sweet Stop Sketch side so I am excited to get to play with more Sweet n' Sassy images!

I chose to use the Everyday Miracles set...I actually needed a good butterfly set and this one is even better with some amazing sentiments! My butterflies were stamped in Black Stazon and watercolored using ink pads and an aquabrush. The layout for the card is from the current Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #72...if you haven't yet, you should definitely participate! I have a hard time creating without a sketch and Korin's are some of the best!

Thanks for joining me and I will see you back here every Tuesday for the month of September! Can't wait!!

Customer Spotlight Sunday

Welcome back to another Spotlight Sunday! This week we're highlighting this amazing card, created by Nancy Kirk.

Nancy is using one of my all time favorite sets, Everyday Miracles. (Everyday Miracles is available as an acrylic stamp set or as a digi set!) I just can't get enough of butterfly images and this set has two amazing ones along with a number of delightful sentiments. Nancy did a fantastic job with this bold red and white card and the red butterfly is the perfect embellishment!

Enjoy today's card and a great big thank you to Nancy for letting us spotlight your card this week!

Sunshine & Daisies

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! My name is Janice and I'm honored to be one of the Guest Design team members for the month of July! Thanks so much Korin and Kim. I'm so excited and looking forward to sharing my cards with you this month.

For today's card I used the Everyday Miracles stamp set and the April Daisy digi stamp. These are both available in either digi or stamp form. I cut out the butterfly and popped it up with some pop dots. I softly sponged around the daisies and added some stickles to the centers for some added sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next Tuesday!!

Customer Spotlight Sunday

Greetings everyone and welcome to another Customer Spotlight Sunday! This week I came across the most beautiful card created by Janice Melton, isn't it fabulous!?

Janice used one of my all time favorite SNSS stamp sets, the newly released Everyday Miracles set. (This set comes with two butterfly images and four sentiments for only $11.00.) I love how Janice dry embossed the background, leaving it white with just a hint of dimension coming from the tiny pearls in the center of each flower. What a great way to showcase her beautiful butterfly...the colors are amazing and pop so well off of the background. I also love the tiny bit of black on this card, it provide the perfect separation between the white and teal layers.

Great card Janice, thank you so much for letting us share your creation this week!

Customer Spotlight Sunday

This week I am super excited to share this beautiful card created by Nancy Kirk. This was a card she created for a Clean and Simple challenge on Splitcoaststampers and I happen to think that this card is a winner! What a great design Nancy! I love the way the text overlaps the large fern image and the butterfly is darling!

Both the butterfly and sentiment are from one of the newly released stamp sets, Everyday Miracles, which also includes a second butterfly image and more sentiments for only $11.00!

Thank you for sharing your card with us Nancy!!

Cute and elegant

Hi there everyone, it's Janette here! Ok, I am super late posting this which is not like me. I just was making my daily visit to the blog and realized that uh oh...it was my day to post. I am so mixed up this week and did not even realize that it was Friday. Oh well, I hope that it is better late than never. Today, I would like to show you a couple cards featuring stamp sets that were released June 1st. Now, keep in mind that both of the sets I used today are available as clear stamps or as digi sets so you can choose whichever suits you better. I have a cute card and an elegant one to share with you. And now without further ado, I present to you my elegant card...

I love variety and that is exactly what you get with Sweet N Sassy stamps. Sometimes I like to color a cute image and sometimes a more elegant one and then are times when I don't want to color and I just want to stamp. I think that there is so much to pick from and can satisfy whatever crafting mood you are in. This card uses one of the butterfly images from Everyday Miracles along with one of the sentiments. I did color it with copics, cut it out and adhered with foam tape, and added stickles for sparkle. The flowers were white and I sponged them with ink and also added stickles. All the edges were sponged with ink before sewing.

And now for a cutie...

How super adorable is this puppy??? I love this set!! It is called Woof You. I created my own bg paper by stamping with the bone stamp repeating on my paper. I colored the image with warm grey copics and paper pieced the bandana around his neck. I also used my copic marker to add shading to that as well. I used my Janome sew mini to sew around all the edges.

closer view for you

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

Miracles for Today....

I think we experience miracles everyday, sometimes we just have to look a little harder to see them. I used two new sets for my card today, Anemone Flower and Everyday Miracles, for the butterfly and sentiment. I really enjoyed coloring both these images! I used my Copics to color and added some pen dots for some added detail. I hope you take a moment today and find something to be thankful for, even if it is just that you are alive, for that is a true miracle all by itself. Blessings.....
