Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2015

Hello Friends!! Today's Post is for Graphic 45
Design Team Audition 2015. I am super excited to share my 4 projects I made this past week using Graphic 45 Beautiful Collections. I have wanted to apply for this call before, but have always missed the call.  I tried to make my post as short as possible, by doing slides for each project, and I will have a video at the end of my post showing my mini album and other projects details. I hope you enjoy!
1st Project
"Botanical Tea Pot Mini Album"

I cant tell you how much I LOVE their design paper, its absolutely BEAUTIFUL and brings so much inspiration to me. I had so many items I wanted to make, but just came across this call last week, and yep, I did all these projects in about 5 days. My 1st project above is a Tea Pot Mini Album using the Beautiful Botanical Tea Design Paper. I have a video below that shows details of the interactive pages, you wont want to miss this video, as I am very pleased with this mini! Lots of room for photo's as we seem to never have enough spots for all those photo's.

2nd Project
" Couture Tussy Mussy/Treat Holder"

Next up is the Beautiful Couture line. I used this line on this Toilet Paper Tussy Mussy. Well it can be a little treat bag too. I LOVE this collection as well. Of course I love them all.....hehehehe The flowers I fussy cut, and heat embossed to give a glass type of look,I love how they turned out. I  also used some vintage trim, feathers, and some vintage type findings to embellish with.  How fun it would be to add some treats to this bag!

3rd Project
"Photo/Calendar/Recipe Stand"

Next I made a Photo page for this multi purpose stand. Hubby and I made these several years back for Christmas Gifts. I had made calendars, recipes and so forth for this stand. We gave them as gifts. Love the Botanical Tea on this one too. Also the photo can be changed out super easy! In my video you will see. (Please see video below and end of post)
Flowers here are also fussy cut/Layered/and heat embossed to give a beautiful real look to them. love these too!!

4th Project
"Once Upon a Springtime Notepad Holder
My last project here uses the Once Upon a Springtime Design Paper pack. I made this Easel Card into a Notepad Holder for my counter next to the phone.
The fairy, frog and flowers are all layered. On this project I did the same with the flowers, by heat embossing them, to give them a glass like look. They dont even look like paper. I love how they are so different from regular fussy cut flowers. All pieces here were distressed, and layered to give the 3-D look.

Please be sure to watch my video,so you can see the interactive pages in my mini!
Thank you for stopping by, and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Christmas Ornament Tussy Mussy's

Hello everyone, and Happy Saturday to all!
Here are 3 more Tussy Mussy's I designed for the 12 days of Christmas swap. For these 3 I used CottageCutz Filigree Ornaments, and CottageCutz Winter Pine Branches from The Scrapping Cottage.

I used the Toilet Paper rolls, and covered them inside out outside with DCWV design paper. Next I used some Vintage White lace for the bottoms. Then added the Beautiful Sheer Really Reasonable Ribbon Trim in red.
The Gingham red Ribbon is also from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I used the 1/2 " Scor-Tape to add the paper to the outside of all my Tussy Mussy's! The Stamp sentiment is SU! stamp, and I used the SU! punches to punch out the sentiment.

I LOVE the look of the ornaments with all the Glitter glass, and beads glued on them. I think they turned out super pretty!

Thank you for looking and be sure to stop back by to see some more Christmas Tussy Mussy's and I will also have another fun surprise for my table setting on Thanksgiving :) Cant wait to share!!

Shabby Chic Butterfly Tussy Mussy

Hello everyone, I wasn't planning on posting today, but I just finished this super FUN Shabby Chic Tussy Mussy made with a Toilet Paper Roll.

For my Tussy Mussy today, I used these
SUPPLIES:
Prima/Sun Kiss Design Paper
Flowers
Really Reasonable Ribbon/Mini Pom Pom Trim, Sheer Box Pleats, Blue Seam Binding
Creative Inspiration Paints/Deliquesce Gold Crystal(on edges of butterfly)
Fringe
Feather
Pearls(for butterfly)

I started by covering my toilet paper roll with a 4 x 6 piece of Prima dp, using Scor-Tape to attach as I go. To close the bottom, I used hot glue, and held it until it was dry. Next I distressed the edges of the design paper with Tim Holtz Distressed ink Antique Linen.

Now we are ready to decorate-
1st I added with HOT GLUE the fringe to the bottom of my tussy mussy. Next I added Mini Pom Pom Trim in white to the top. I always do a trial layout to see how I want everything before I actually glue any items down. So I started with my feather, then bunched up some box pleated trim and glued it on top of the feather. Next I added my large flower, and then added the leaves underneath it. After that I added the small flower, and butters to the centers. then added the stick pin.

Butterfly-
My butterfly was cut using white card stock with a CottageCutz die listed in supplies above. I cut 2 of the same butterfly to layer.
Then I decided I wanted to airbrush them with the copic airbrushing system, and these colors
YR31 is the yellow
B34
B93
I used a small foam circle to attach them on top of one another, and then added the pearls. Lastly for the butterfly I added some glue around the edges of the wings, and then added CIP's Deliquesce Gold Crystal Glitter. LOVE the look it gives to the butterfly and in person its beautiful.

Challenges-Cute Card Thursday/Butterfly Kisses, Forever Friends Challenge/Diecuts ,Creative Moments/Things with Wings , Creative Craft Challenge/Alter It(toilet Paper Roll)
Thank you for looking and have a wonderful day! The sun is finally shinning here :) woohooo!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

CottageCutz Vintage Mini Tussy Mussy

Hello everyone, today I wanted to share another Mini Toilet Paper Tussy Mussy that I made this week. On this one, I used CottageCutz "Fancy Perfume Bottles" from the Vintage Release. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this RELEASE!!!!

I wanted a vintage look to my Tussy Mussy, so I went with Vintage Laces, and ruffles, and Vintage Seam Binding, all from my stash. Then I picked a dp that I thought could be vintage looking, and went off of those colors for my perfume bottle.

The CottageCutz Perfume Bottle is cut out with a design paper, then distress with brushed Corduroy ink. Next I cut the hose and top pieces all with cream card stock and distressed it with tea dye. The bulb is airbrushed with copic YR61 and then distressed with old paper. My flowers were colored with copics R32, YR61 , for the greenery on the bottle I used YG95 & G99 copic markers.

The Lace I used on the bottom ,top, and handle are very very old. The ruffled behind the bow, Im not sure how old that is. I also used Really Reasonable Ribbon Brown Antique Gold Ribbon for my bow. Now behind the hearts is a peach seam binding, I just ruched it up. Lastly I added a string of pearls to the bottom :)

If you havent seen the NEW CottageCutz Releases you will have to take a moment and stop by The Scrapping Cottage Store HERE :)

Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!!

HISTORY on TUSSY MUSSY:

•During the English Gregorian period (1714--1760), pestilence was rampant and indoor plumbing was not. Elegant ladies would often carry small bouquets of fragrant herbs and flowers to fend off noxious odors. Also known as nosegays, tussy mussies remained popular through the Victorian era.
