Jonas Oakland - Where Were You Last Night
Swedish hardcore pop-fans should know Jonas Oakland, this new artist have come up with series of really nice electropop-goodies few years ago, he was also sending one of his previous tracks - BWO-breathing "Beat of My Heart" to Melodifestivalen but it wasn't accepted.
Right now Jonas releases his new single - cover of huge 80s hit - Ankie Bagger's "Where Were You Last Night" written by Tim Norell, Ola Håkansson and Alexander Bard (!!!) and it's becoming an amazing step from purely schlager-oriented stuff to modern dance-music with really tough production, no need to talk about melody as it's classics which just can't be a bad base for covers. To make video Jonas has got two hot dancers and Janssen Herr, director behind videos of Tingsek and Calaisa, now you can check the result right below.

Lili & Susie - Bailamor (video)
Wow! Video for Lili & Susie's newest single "Bailamor" is out and I should mention it's the first video in ages after 80-ies breathing "Show Me Heaven" that was presented in Melodifestivalen-2009 period and this new video feels like step forward.
"Bailamor" being collaboration with Diamond Dogs features not only drag stars of the show but also Ankie Bagger - old friend and backing singer of Lili & Susie. No need to say all girls are looking absolutely fabulous!
Thanx for the tip to amazing Schlagerprofilerna.

Live review of last 2 weeks (part 2)
Let's take a look now at what Sommarkysset was about in the second half of July and there were actually pretty loads of interesting things going on.
Winner of Melodifestivalen-2010 Anna Bergendahl performed her new single "The Army" that she plans to shoot video very soon for. With her original dress and hair in front of mass of green people she looked a little like alien princess but sure it's pretty nice how she currently makes some very positive experiments with her style transforming from next-door girl to a gorgeous pop-diva. Another long-awaited by many pop-fans performance was done by Le Kid, who were singing their debut single "Mercy Mercy" in a brightest colors and style of video for this song. Style performed medley of their best hits. Marie Serneholt and Sebastian Karlsson as a new musical-stars performed with the band of Grease. And as it was expected Martin Stenmarck promoted his "Everybody's changing" and Stockholm Pride stars Peter Gustafsson & Ankie Bagger were singing "Secret Weapon". Rock-part of performers in a faces of Shout Out Louds performing their new single "Fall Hard" and Ola Joyce with "Beautiful Loser" was also quite desrving attention. Among foreigh guests you could see Jon and Kato with the single "Turn the Lights Off" that have become very successful in Sweden and Eurovision-winner Lena with her famous "Satellite".

Ankie Bagger & Peter Gustafson - Secret Weapon
In the end of July Stockholm will host annual Pride festival with loads of different public events and open-air performances, as a rule it gathers most interesting and currently important schlager-names, so some of approved ones are Hera Björk, Hanna Lindblad, Jenny Silver, NEO, Safura, Anne-Lie Rydé, Rebound, Mariette Hansson, Caroline af Ugglas, sure this list's gonna be much longer in a few weeks.
Every year Stockholm's Pride gets it's official anthem and this year is no exception and it's Ankie Bagger & Peter Gustafsson who provide the anthem this time. It's not the first work of Ankie and Peter together, year before they recorded their first schlager-experiment "Du kan inte lura mig" (joke song about woman fallen in love with gay-guy) written by Thomas G:Son that reached #4 of chart.
"Secret Weapon" is as classic disco-schlager as it can be, like it or not, and sure it's gonna suit its aim very well, the song is written by Ulf Ekwall, Fredde "Francis" Jernberg and Charlie Mason. You can check enjoyable live performance of it below, it really lifts the song to a new level and changing this dead audience to open-air party people it could sound and look really great.
You can check the list of other Stockholm Pride's anthems of 00s. Best one to your opinion?
