Friends & Flowers

I saw a fun sketch from Ellen Hutson Classroom on Lin's wonderful blog and decided to join in the fun.

I pulled out some paper which of course didn't make it onto the final card but it inspired the use of the damask stamp and damask embossing folder on my card.  I also had this beautiful bouquet of flowers (Making Memories)  that worked with the sentiment perfectly.

The verse is from Verses Rubber Stamps - Flowers in Bloom - FS1119-D. The damask stamp is Hero Arts Cling - Classic Fabric Design stamped in Memento London Fog.  The sentiment is stamped using Stone Grey StazOn.  The background is embossed using a Sizzix Embossing folder and sponged with white acrylic paint.

Here is the sketch:

Have a wonderful Monday!

Wee Memories - Woodland Friends Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Wee Memories is Woodland friends.  I had this wonderful fairy bunny image from the extremely talented  Kiara.   This is my woodland creature.  A bunny with wings definitely belongs in a woods with the fairies.

I decided to create a shaker card as I had the sweetest little heart glitter. The papers are from Making Memories J'T Adore  and the stamps in the background are Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Memory Box.

Have a fabulous Monday!

Card Patterns Sketch #92 - Let Heaven and Nature Sing

I had some really fun tissue tape from Making Memories  and was lucky enough to find the matching paper Mistletoe. I love the fun combination of patterns in Christmas colors. After I saw the sketch from Card Patterns I knew it was a perfect fit.

My card:

The holly is a new stamp from Memory Box called Holly Sprig B1416. The sentiment is also Memory Box called Heaven Sings B1385. I have to say that this sentiment for the holidays is one of my favorites this year as I love using my nature stamps. The birds are from Inkadinkado.

Here is the wonderful sketch #92 from Card Patterns.

Have a lovely day.

Orange, Browns and Yellows again...

I started with two challenges and only ended up with finishing one. But one of the challenges was a color challenge which I didn't finish. So that is why I have my yellows, oranges and browns again.

Today has been a bit challenging for me.. Do you ever have those days where you get up and something goes wrong and then everything you touch after that you break or it doesn't work. Well that has been me today. This card was about the only thing I finished without breaking. :)

The HA blog challenge is to go green. I re-cycled a piece of cardboard from packaging from Making Memories. They have the cutest background in their little accessories. This was a light blue grid paper. Unfortunately, I stamped so many colors you can't see it.

I am not even going to attempt putting down the products today. I bet I would get them wrong.

Kwerner Challenge # 47

Kristina's Color Challenge this week: http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/?p=1122 contains colors I used earlier this week to make several cards. I actually felt like I was stuck in a rut using the orange, brown, yellow and white. :) So when I saw her colors it gave me a chuckle..

I went a different path with this card and tried to incorporate more white, different shape and look and feel from my earlier cards.

I am addicted to my new Cornish Heritage Farms stamp (lined paper). I also just purchased a grid paper stamp of theirs which I have been playing with as well and I love for a background effect.
