Graduation Time

Hi!  I have not been creating at all we have had a very busy few months.  Lot's of graduations, moving people, school finishing up and work.  I do have one graduation card to share.  I made a batch of them and this was the best of the bunch.

I have to admit that I started from a card I purchased at the store for one of the many graduations happening this month.
The store bought card had a beautiful variation of colors on the card face with a beautiful overlay of acetate with words and images in white on top of the colors in the background.  I tried to emulate the same effect on my card.

I started with a splattered background mixing sprays on craft mat and picking them up onto paper.  I then worked on the acetate overlay. I had the hardest time getting a good white image on the front of the card. I used a variety of techniques and ended up with stamps and white ink.

Next I went back and stamped in purple ink the images on the card surface. The quote is from Verse Rubber Stamps.  The images are from Stampendous.  The stars on the acetate are from Darkroom Door.

Happy Stamping!

Graduation

On pinterest I saw the cutest graduation mason jars and decided to copy the idea.  We have lot's of graduations this year in the family.  My daughters have friends as well who are graduating.
We did two versions of the jars some have money and the others have candy in the colors of the schools that the recipient is going to.

Here is all of the jars queued up waiting for the parties.
I found a couple of packages of tassels at the store which made the toppers easier. I cut mini cards and put a black brad in the center.
I stamped a sentiment to put in the center but haven't attached them so she can sign them before I put them in the card.
I stamped a sentiment on the tissue paper diploma attached on the top.

Have a great day!

Graduation Time!

It's Graduation time!  That means time to create graduation cards.  We have a few graduating high school this year among the nieces and nephews and my middle daughter has a few friends graduating this year.

Here are just a few cards I created for all the graduations:

This box template was provided to me by Stamp Scrap N More my LSS.  They have classes and this is one of the templates/cards that Peggy is teaching.  If you are interested they are here online and you can purchase the template.  I added some stamping details using Stampendous stamps found here.

My next card was created using our local HS colors:

The adorable Stampendous House Mouse Designs stamp was the focal point colored with STAEDTLER Karat Aquarell Watercolor Pencils.

The last card was a template I saw out on pinterest and played around with to try to re-create.

A quick and easy card with a fun fold to give it a little extra punch.  Everyone loved their cards and it took me a lot less time to create a series of cards using fun templates.

Have a happy Thursday!
