THINGS HAPPEN......

Helloooooo Friday Peeps,

I hope you are all well and maybe even getting some good weather ?

I was sitting here colouring something for a challenge when a really, really silly idea came into my head. !!!
Now - I don't know how old you are, but I remember years ago that in magazines and in the Tube Stations, there were adverts for Badedas Bath liquid/salts, and they always had those images like you get on the front of a Mills & Boon novel and the caption was..... " Things Happen After A Badedas Bath "... you know - trying to make you think this handsome hero comes in through your window just cuz you've had a bloomin' bath !!! LoL  Here's a couple I found...

Annnnywaaaays..... I decided to use the image I was colouring up for my own version of this schmaltzy advert, so here it is.....

I wanted to get another hit in over at the Sisterhood so obviously I had to make a snarky/naughty comment on there. In your mind you have to pronounce it properly right ???!   hee hee  :-D

Image is a digital stamp from QKR STAMPEDE called ' Bath Bear', with some added balloons. She is coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and has KindyGlitz on her bubbles.
I added a jewelled crown. Obviously her Bad-ass bath turned her into a queen hahahaha :-D

Right - well I am off now to see what's going on upstairs..... I am fostering a Rescue puppy - who I have named OSKAR - and he is up there with my Moishe getting up to who knows what and it's nearly their tea time anyhow.
I will try and snag a photo of him to put on here later :-)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY ELLADA :-)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO GREECE

This holiday is Greece's National Day and is always celebrated on 25 March.

In 1821, the Greeks rose up against the Ottoman Empire which had occupied Greece for almost 400 years, leading to the war of independence. Greece's Independence Day is actually a holiday that has blended over time with an older festival - the Feast of the Annunciation.

Here is a piece of MailArt I have made to celebrate.
The photo of the envelope has been added on as I couldn't get them both to sit nicely for the camera LoL

For my card I used Sybilla Delphica rubber stamp from De-Stempelwinkel. I coloured her with Spectrum Noir markers. I used a page from a Greek newspaper for my backing and added some olives which I fussy cut. My envelope is also made from newspaper. I edged with ink and stamped on the Sybilla.
*  Sibylla Delphica,  was a Priestess of Apollo *

HAPPY MAIL :-)

Hello Peeps,
I have popped in to show you my happy mail I just got. It's a super POCKET LETTER with lots of really cool bits and bobs in the back.
It has come from a super crafting buddy - SUSAN who has a great Blog called " Calling All Crafters ". She's doing a personal project to produce an ATC a day for 365 days - so cool - and she's up to Day 84. They are fabulous - you really should go over and have a peep at them.
I got a couple that I had admired in my PL so I am well pleased, and she used some of my own digi images :-D . Here's some pics ....

Thank you very much Susan - I love it :-D xxxxx

I might be back later. I am having a bit of crafting now. I was gardening yesterday and this morning, so all my joints are waaaay painfull now and my fingers look like sausages, so going to be taking it a bit easy today !!

SPRING IS COMING

Hello Peeps,
It's gorgeous here today and maybe Spring is coming after all.
I was inspired to do a card in lovely fresh colours and I used my new-ish Die and Emboss set - from Marianne .... the honeycomb one DF3404.
The image is called  'Bee Fido Puppy ' by SANDRA CALDWELL.  I did him to look like a Dalmation :-)

I used a bit of bee backing paper and some flower buttons from my stash, which I tied on with pale yellow teeny string :-) I used my tiny letter stamps to put HAP-BEE using the cut out pieces from the die and I also used the die as a stencil for the lower part of the card.

Thanks for buzzing by :-)

HAPPY SUNDAY

Hi everyone,
I hope you are having a bit of a crafty Sunday ? :-)
I've just popped in with this little piece today cuz I have a crochet commission to do, so I am going to go upstairs and finish that in a moment.

My background is some watercolour paper from where I was messing about with rainbows the other day.
The image is from SASAYAKI GLITTER and is called 'Flower Ant'.
I coloured the images with Spectrum Noir markers on heavier weight paper and was much more pleased with the blending although a bit disappointed about the 'bleed out' on the left-hand side of the pot :-(

Thanks for dropping in xx

JOURNAL JOTTING

I decided to play with some more SCRIBBLES, since I had got the folder open and came across a sweet BunnyChick and some bunnies and got this very silly idea....................

I covered my journal page is some teeny Easter egg paper and edged it with lime green ink. Then I used some stamps by La Blanche at the corners and bottom edge, using dark green ink. The stamps are NBUS that were sent to me by a crafting friend and I really like these :-)

The images are all by SCRIBBLES DESIGNS :
Hoppy 4
Hoppy 5
Joppy 6
Long Leg Easter Chicklet

All the images were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.

Sorry I made a bit of a hash trying to mask off the right-hand page :-(

Thanks for popping in. I am off to feed cats/dog etc now :-) xxx

WASH MY MOUTH OUT :-)

Hello again,

I am here with my offering to the Sisters of Snark, so you must expect that I have a teensy naughty word on here as usual.................. mind you, it is only one word and it's not as bad as my last offering ok ?

I have chosen to colour up my QUEEN OF HEARTS digi - available at IKEsART, and I have used a Freebie paper and tag from MEINLILAPARK, which is just perfect for her.... crisp and clean... as opposed to her potty mouth  hahahaha :-D

I am going to have a play with my Art Journal this afternoon, so I might be back again later :-D   Thanks for popping in xxxx

CHALLENGE PLAY

Hello Saturday Peeps,

I am having a little play at some Challenges today.
My first card is a bit of a late St Pat's Day piece. I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and made a paper pieced body with Good Luck wording in a Celtic font.
The border is made with stamped shamrocks which I then cut out and stuck individually.

My second one has a paper pieced sofa and then I coloured and printed the puppy twice, fussy cut him and mounted with foamies to make him pop out.

I shall be back later with something else :-)

EASTER PARADE

Hi there,
I have coloured up my latest stamp from BLOOBEL ready for the Easter Parade - March Progressive Challenge.
I used Spectrum Noir markers for him and his background is from MEINLILAPARK - one of her many super cool freebies :-)
I paper pieced his hat with the same backing paper but, because it is digital, I could make it really much smaller to fit with the proportions :-D
I used snippets of green and yellow card to finish him and have again had fun with my new Stitched Rectangle dies :-)

LUCKY BIRDIE

Hello again,

I have just coloured up my Stamp of the Month which is called ' Lucky Lil' Birdie by FROM THE HEART STAMPS.

I made several Patchwork backing papers the other day, so I have used one of those with lots of horseshoes on it to reflect the image. The papers are St Patrick's Day set from FAR FAR HILLS.

I coloured him with Spectrum Noir markers and cut him out with a stitched square Die from Marianne Designs.  I did his horseshoe with a gold pen but it doesn't show up well on photos.
I made some flowers and stamped out some Shamrocks for leaves. I only had little silver horseshoes, so I coloured this one with a gold permanent marker.

Thank you for coming to see me today :-) I shall be back with my Cat Challenge a bit later xxx

RAINBOWS

Hi there All,

Our new Challenge is up over at IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES.
We are an Anything Goes Challenge but we have an optional Twist each time and this fortnight we have " Over The Rainbow ". Obviously this can be anything with rainbows, colour, the Film - Wizard of Oz, songs about rainbows ... you get it right ?

Well - for me it just reminded me of younger days when I saw Kermit The Frog singing ' Rainbow Connection ' in the 1979 Muppet Movie. I really LOVE this little song but it always also makes me cry a bit and I honestly don't know why !!
You can see/hear him here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2DTLbTQj0I

Here is my little tribute to Kermit using an ink and watercolour paper background and a Cutting File from LITTLE SCRAPS OF HEAVEN called Lucky Frog. I did his little lucky horseshoe in gold card.

Ah well - got the box of tissues out after listening to the song again !!!  Thanks Kermit LoL

Anyways - I hope you will pop over and play along with us at IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES  - remember you don't have to follow the Twist Theme :-)
There's a new FREEBIE there for you too and a new Set over on the IKEsART FB Page. :-)

Byeee for now xxxx

USING UP THE BITS

It's me again using up the snippets and bits from my last few creations. I am still playing with my Stitched Rectangles that I bought from FIKI and I love them :-)
I snagged a Freebie today so have decided to colour it up to match with my snippets.
I made a pansy border to go with her :-)

Image used: Freebie from AURORA WINGS - Pansy Sprite
I coloured her with Spectrum Noir markers. I wish I could get my markers to blend as well as some of the other sprites I saw in this Challenge. Maybe mine are getting a bit dry ????

STILL PLAYING WITH YELLOW

Hello Sunday Peeps,
Well - it is still raining today.... that's Day 5 non-stop !! I did actually drag the dog out for a walk in his raincoat this morning, just to get some fresh air. !

Since the weather is cruddy, I was still playing with some yellow this morning and made this Tag.

The background was stamped with a sun and a clear stamp with wording, which was sent to me as a gift from a Fabby crafting Friend :-) The package says MY ACRYLIX Close to My Heart  D1196 Floral Elements.  I found these are on eBay and Etsy.
I used two colours of yellow to stamp the word panel 4 times.
Then I used some flowers by Klever Konstruction - which were also from the same Friend. These are printed on like thick acetate and the instructions say to cut them out, heat them up and shape how you want them.  Well - that turned out to be tricky.... they blow away from the heat gun and I was picking them up off the floor and carpet and trying to shape them nicely !!!  Trickly little buggers they are !! LoL

Anyhoo - the image is a Hummingbird from Designs by Ryn at De-STEMPELWINKEL. Not sure if this is available any more as I can't find it in the Shop.
I coloured him with Spectrum Noir markers and then added some KindyGlitz. I made my own little 'wobbler' for him to make him buzz around. It looks soooo cute :-)

In this next photo I tried to flick him and grab the photo but my camera is just too fast so I couldn't get an action shot.... you can see a bit of my finger in there though, trying to make a quick exit hahahahaha :-)

I added some assorted ribbons and schtuff from my stash to finish off.
Things I used:

Thanks for popping in to my rain soaked world. I'll see you later xxxx

HAPPY KITTY

My next piece for the day is celebrating my favourite colour AND my love of cats and flowers :-)
I know it's still raining and there isn't any sunshine, but I can always live in hope.
I was sitting listening to 'HAPPY' by Pharrell Williams - which just makes me smile and jig along and I started making this little piece. It was going to be a page in my art journal but after adding the flower I realized that it won't shut if I put it in there hahaha.  I am going to use it as the front of a Mini Album I think :-)
I recently saw this great Tutorial on how to make paper Dahlias so I had a go. Mine is not as gorgeous as the photos I saw but for a first try it's not too bad.
I think I made it more difficult by making it considerable smaller than shown on the TuT.   :-)

I started with a plain yellow backing and stitched a bit of plastic mesh onto it. The kitty was stamped and then I coloured his eyes with Spectrum Noir markers. I dripped some green ink for leaves and attached my Dahlia. The wording was done using a font called ' Austie Bost Kitten Klub ' - free from Fonts101.

A BIT OF PRETTY, PRETTY

Hello and Happy Saturday Peeps,
I have made a card for my friend's Birthday using my new cutting dies from MARIANNE design.  This is LR0454 Anja's Butterfly Die Set.
I was totally inspired by a card I saw made by Julie Price, an Australian member of the World Marianne Team, so I went along with it using bits that I had in my stash. I don't have any of those lovely bead swirls she has, but I think it's kinda OK without them  :-)
I chose to mount mine onto a large blue card.

The card is pretty big at 8" square but it is for a special friend :-)
The backing papers I used are the latest Freebie set from FAR FAR HILL  called ' Spring Mood '
The lovely bird picture in the middle is a digital scrapbook cluster I got free on a Blog Train last week by G & T DESIGNS.

I have to make myself a big envelope for this baby as I can't get them this big here. :-)

It's still raining today but more 'off' than 'on' LoL

***  By the way - do you think it's useful to put pictures of the products I used on the Post or is it just a waste of space/time ???  ***

I shall be back in again later  - thanks for dropping by xxxx
