We Have A Winner!
Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway.......................103 people left comments and a couple of people wanted to enter without leaving a comment on the post. The winner - as chosen by a random number generator - is Tanya (post 35). Here's what she said:
"I think she is called Adelaide Maude. She is thoughtful, and calm and kind to animals. She doesn't like brussel sprouts but she adores peas from the pod" It's a lovely name and quite apt, because Adelaide is my hometown! All the names suggested were wonderful and there were quite a few there that I have never thought of so I'll be adding them to my list. Thanks to everyone for taking part. It was fun!
If you get a chance, visit Tanya's blog - it is interesting and often thought-provoking. I have been in touch with her - I'll let you all know what she chooses as her prize.
Adelaide Maude thanks you all.

One World One Heart Doorprize Winner Is............
Well.........I was going to write the numbers on bits of paper and have a physical drawing from a real hat......but the thought of writing and cutting up 295 numbers on little bits of paper made me feel very tired, so I baled out and used a random number generator thingy.
And guess whose name came up...it was number 274 - pinkglitterfae (aka Betty) from Ontario in Canada!

So "Tweet" will be going to live in Canada!
Thanks to everyone who left a comment - I really appreciate every one of them and I would have liked to have made 295 "Tweets" so you could all have one....I can't believe I just wrote that :-}

.........And The Winner Is!
A couple of days late, but I finally conducted my May Giveaway using the latest scientific methods and technology...........ie: I wrote the numbers (1-37) on a piece of paper in a random fashion, blindfolded self (there being no-one else available), spun the piece of paper around with one hand while hovering with a pin in the other. At a predetermined moment known only to me, the pin hand descended into the paper and the number in closest proximity to where the pin pierced the paper is the winner..............And the winner is NUMBER 25 - BEE!
Bee - please email me (sue@orielstudio.com.au) so that I can arrange to send you your prize. Thanks everyone for joining in! I'll post a picture of what Bee chooses as her prize soon.

Debb's Prize
Here is what I made for Debb as winner of my recent celebratory (100 posts) giveaway. This little doll is called "Brightstar" - for obvious reasons. She is a scaled down version of my Zoziedolls - just 6.5 inches tall (8" to top of star). So Debb this little doll is on its way to you! I love giving stuff away.........see another opportunity looming with a '200 Followers' milestone approaching!
I have quite a number of commissions to get finished in the next month, so I'm going to be busy. I may not get much of a chance to keep this blog up to date, but I will try.

A Busy Week!
I've had a fairly busy week this week - now that it is Saturday I have a moment to sit back, reflect and update my blog.
The winner of my recently-held '100 foll0wers' competition, Barbara, has chosen to have one of my Zoziedolls as her prize - I'll be completing it this weekend and sending it to her next week. That was so much fun, that I'll be having another one shortly - this one to celebrate 100 posts. I think this is number 83, so keep yer eyes peeled - won't take long to get to 100!
I have just completed this doll in the style of an Izannah Walker doll. Izannah was an American dollmaker with a cottage industry producing dolls for a number of decades from around 1850. Quite a few of them survive in remarkably good condition, which attests to her skill as a dollmaker. They also have a wonderful naive charm about them. I have tried to capture the essence of this type of doll whilst retaining my own "look".
Oh.........and a couple of new Zozies.
Darn it! I loaded the pics backwards........but you are clever enough to look at them in the right order, aren't you?
Please check out this new blog started by my friend, Linda Searle. She's only been making dolls for a short while, but she's doing fabulous work! www.lindasearledolls.blogspot.com
