Welcome Precious Little Ones!

Hi Everyone,

Today, I wanted to share some special cards I made for dearest Julee, owner of Verve Stamps who just recently had the sweetest twin boys: Trevor and Kellan!! Double the blessing and double the joy! I wanted to send a little wish for each of the boys so I made them each a little card to write my wish for them using the To the Moon stamp set from Verve stamps:
I added a little K and a little T chipboard onto each card for each of the boys :) I started with a circle chipboard base and then added some circles cut from some card stock and then matted with scallop underlay and then added some strips of DP and the sentiment on top. I added a some coordinating MME embellies to the bottom - love the little owl-ie and the sweet sunsh
I added ribbon to the side and then some liquid pearls to either side of the card. I added the main circle onto a kraft card stock and then rounded the corners on the bottom and sponged some strips of DP over the card stock:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: To the Moon from Verve Stamps
Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa
Papers; MME and kraft cardstock
Accessories: MME embellishment stickers, liquid pearls, corner chomper, sponger, scallop and circle nesties and circle chipboard, ribbon from stash, heart punch and chipboard letters.

I am so happy for dear Julee and Mark as they welcome their twin boys! And can't wait to see more pictures of these two beautiful boys! Welcome gorgeous little ones - I am already in love with you both!!!

Please check Julee's blog about the birth of her little ones!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Mojo Monday #229 - OH BOY!

Hi Everyone,

Today we are surprising Julee Tillman, creator of Verve Stamps, with a little virtual blog hop baby shower as she and her wonderful husband Mark as they begin this new adventure! If you came from sweet Charmanie Ikach's blog you are in the right place - or if you happen to start here you can begin with Julee and Teresa's blog for the baby happy party!

I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch #229 designed by Mary Fish for my card today and loved the panels in the back. I alternated pieces of paper from MME Lime Twist: Fly a Kite and used the super cute giraffe from the To the Moon stamp set. I wanted to create little twin giraffes for Julee's twin boys and colored them in a fun blue and green and framed them with the frame from the Sweet Treats stamp set inked in red. I cut the center part of the frame out and then popped the giraffes out through them and finished it with a sweet sentiment: Oh BOY! I love these two giraffes (who I have named Legolas and Aragorn in honor of Julee's husband Mark who did mention a liking for Lord of the Rings)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: MME Fly a Kite: Lime Twist
Inks: Ladybug red, Tuxedo black and Bahama Blue from Memento ink
Accessories: dimensionals, copics, corner rounder, EK success scallop punches, ribbon and candy dot from Taylored Expressions, copies and sponger

Julee and Mark, I am so excited for your new adventure and wish you every joy in the world as you welcome your sweet twin boys! They are so lucky to be blessed with parents like you and I can't wait to see their sweet faces soon!

I remember people always told me to enjoy these precious moments because they go so fast - at the time they told me that, I felt so sleep deprived and exhausted that I couldn't imagine it going fast at all - but it really is true - suddenly they are wearing baby clothes and getting new teeth (for which I spent sleepless nights patting my babies as the little tooth was coming in) - and suddenly they are losing their baby teeth and growing like weeds and I am trying to keep up with them!!! I feel so grateful for my little wee ones - they continuously teach me how to be a better person - they teach me patience, flexibility and teach me how to love with every fiber of my being.

Each age has its own joys and its own challenges - there is one guarantee - you will never be bored! Enjoy each precious moment - and take lots of pictures and more video - they love seeing themselves when the were little!! I wish I could be there in person to hug you - but I hope you feel my love and excitement and happy wishes for you across the miles :)

Next on the hop is the blog of sweet Shannan!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari

Mojo Monday #87 - Little Star Baby Card

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Friday Everyone! YAY!

Just wanted to drop a quick card as before the Memorial Day celebrations begin and things get busy around here! I have so many friends who are pregnant right now! YAY! And I also realized that I haven't made a baby card in a looong time - so I got cracking! I LOVE this sweet little Plain Jane sentiment from Julee's Verve Stamps: Little Star - how adorable! So I made a quick card using  Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #87. I loved this sketch and couldn't wait to use the this stamp.

I know for sure that one of my friends is having a baby, the other two I am not sure about and there have already been two of my friends who have had their baby - but no card yet! So this one is dedicated to the little boy wee one who is due to make his appearance in a month! woohoo! I am excited for the baby shower :)

Card Details:
Paper: Martha Stewart
Ink: Adirondack Expresso
Star: Sentiment: Verve Little Star: Clear Stamps Rhonna Farrer
Accessories Animals by Martha Stewart, Corner Rounder
Show watched: Mansfield Park (but Pride & Prejudice is my fave Austen)

Hope you are all doing well! Thanks so much for visiting my little blog :)
Wishing you all a happy start to your Memorial Day Weekend!

Ciao for now :)

Kristina Werner Color Inspiration Challenge #16

Hello Everyone,

Yay! Its time for another color inspiration challenge from Kristina Werner. This time the inspiration came from Martha Stewart (Colors are: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Soft Sky and Certainly Celery) check out this sweet pic:

I love baby shoes - both my children had such adorable little booties - but that only lasted for about 2 minutes because then inevitably we lost one of the shoes and then couldn't find it till 6 months later - by that time the  shoe was too small for the feet - sigh! but at least we got the important Kodak moment before losing the shoes.
Anyhow!! I digress - my point being - that I really loved the colors when I saw this inspiration and since the inspiration came from Martha - in honor of that the paper and ribbon are from Martha Stewart crafts. I also just got my first Stampin Up! Catalog (yes, I am a newbie to the stamping world) (the SU! stamps that I have were given to me by a friend who doesn't craft anymore). Anyhow - when I saw the catalog, I was just blown away - and I mean blown away - I think I just sat on the couch for like...EVER with my mouth open taking it all in!! Wow - I am in love with EVERYTHING!
(Do we really need a college fund?!! Just kidding Keith! (to my husband who subscribed to my blog! how sweet is that!!!)
Anyhow - where was I??? Ahhh, yes the card! I really quite enjoyed making this card after a busy day running around yesterday- phew! it was nice to sit down and enjoy some cutting and stamping! As soon as I saw the colors, I knew I wanted to make a baby card and I knew which stamps I wanted to use and just when I was trying to figure out the layout - I got the SU! catalog in the mail! Perfect timing! I loved the card on pg. 84 and got inspiration from that card to make this one:

I embossed the little clothes onto the different colors and then cut and pasted them onto the card. I also cut a little slit for the ribbon to slide through so that I could tie the bow on the side. I was going to sew the ribbon in - but I am so tired and have no idea where the thread box is - soooo I just decided to slap on some adhesive and call it a day :)
So now I am off to go get breakfast ready and welcome Friday!!! YAY!!

Hope all of you are well,
Ciao for now,
Sankari
