Challenge #30--Tags and Tickets!--Shannah's Turn

Hi Everyone! Welcome to another new challenge at "Sundays with Crissy"! Our theme for June is... "Tags and Tickets!"
This is another great challenge - I often forget that tags and tickets are great for adding sentiments,  embellishments, or even for stamping your image on. For this challenge I decided to go with Sentiment Tickets, which were perfect to tuck into the side of the frame on my card, as the image already took up most of the space. I picked the gorgeous "Babe at the Beach" by Crissy Armstrong, available from the fabulous Whimsy Stamps. I decided my Beach Baby needed a beach to be toddling along... So I merged (and then double mounted) her on "The Beach Scene" from Make It Crafty.
Hope you like it!

And another angle...

I'd love you to pop over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's for a visit, and see more details about my card!

Now it's your turn to show us your 'TAGS AND TICKETS' cards!! There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.

You can link up you project on Sarah's post by clicking HERE. Just find the Blue Linky button and add your project! (She has all the instructions!)

Wishing you all a wonderful month!!

Challenge #27--Animals--Shannah's Turn

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to another new challenge at "Sundays with Crissy"!! Our theme for March is... "Animals!"
Fur, Feathers, Claws, Tails....as long as it's an animal we'd love to see it!

I had SO much trouble choosing which image to use for this challenge... not because I couldn't find an image I liked - but from the ABUNDANCE of cute little animals Crissy has created!I love them ALL!
I narrowed it down by making it a challenge... choosing something I've never done before.
(i.e. Picking something that I've been too scared to attempt before LOL!)

So I chose the absolutely adorable "Lilly Filly" and merged her with the "Meadow Background", both by Crissy Armstrong (of course!), and available from the fabulous Whimsy Stamps. I was having so much fun stretching myself that I was even brave enough to try Copic Clouds, as seen in Annika Ryan's wonderful "Colouring Sky" tutorial! It was my first attempt, so I was didn't think it was tooo bad lol! ;)

Here's how it turned out...

I'd love you to pop over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's to say hello, and see the details about my card!

Now it's your turn to show us your 'ANIMALS' cards!!

Challenge #26--Happy Birthday!--Shannah's Turn

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to a brand new challenge at "Sundays with Crissy"!! Our theme for February is... "Birthdays!"
Our blog is mostly about card making but if you want to enter another type of craft that incorporates stamping (digital or rubber) then show us what you've got. Please follow the birthday theme though.

Every single month I get excited by Crissy's new release images - I always love them! So of course I can rarely resist the chance to use them as soon as possible ;) I've already used 2 of her February Digital Releases - and it's only the 5th LOL! This image is the Brand New "Bunny Doll" by Crissy Armstrong, and is available from Whimsy Stamps.
I thought that because this bunny looks so laid back, that instead of "Happy Birthday" the more Aussie toast of "Cheers Big Ears" was appropriate. Mind you an Aussie Bunny would probably be lyin' back there with a Stubbie and a snag from the barbie instead of a flower! (hehehe!)

Hope you like my card!

If you'd like to see the details of this card, or another of Crissy's February new release digis in action, pop over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's! Here's a little preview featuring "Spring Lamb"!

Now it's your turn to show us your 'BIRTHDAY' cards!! Challenge #25--Beat the Mid-Winter Blues--Shannah's Turn

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to a brand new challenge for the New Year here at "Sundays with Crissy"!!

It's my turn to get you all warmed up and thaw out those creative juices, because our theme for January is... "Beat the Mid-Winter Blues!" You can interpret this however you want! Escaping Mid-Winter for you could mean sun and warmth, anything that screams beach, seaside, underwater, sunny, or tropical. Or maybe you will want to make a card in all blue tones. Or even just getting some crafting time in is your way of beating the mid-winter blues! This theme is up to your interpretation!

Of course this is easy peasy for me, considering we are actually in the middle of a heat-wave LOL!! I don't really have to stretch my imagination too far here in our Aussie summer! ;)

My beautiful niece has just had her 3rd birthday, so I chose to show you the card I made for her. It looks just like her (all blonde curls and blue eyes), and of course this time of year she loves to be out in the sunshine picking the flowers... perfect for our summery theme!

This image is the adorable "Gracie's Roses" by Crissy Armstrong (of course!), and is available from Whimsy Stamps.
The good news is my niece loved her card. She held it up to herself in front of the mirror and told her Mum "that's me"! - how cute is that?? Thanks Crissy!! ;)

I'd love you to pop over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's for a visit, and see more details about my card!

Now it's your turn to show us your 'BEAT THE MID-WINTER BLUES' cards!! Finish up those Christmas cards... or get a start on next years birthdays... or anything! Just have some creative "Anything Goes" time in the chaos that is Pre-Christmas! ;)

I chose one of my all time favourite Christmas images... The absolutely adorable "Trimming the Tree" by Crissy Armstrong (of course!), available from Whimsy Stamps.
(I know I say ALL Crissy's images are my fave, but I really love this sweetie, with the happy little penguin and polar bear... Just too cute!)

Challenge #23--Christmas Card Using Non-Traditional Colours--Shannah's Turn

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my November post for Sundays with Crissy!!

For this month we would like to see "Christmas Cards Using Non-Traditional Colours!"
That means none of the usual red and green that is everywhere this time of year ;)  We want you to think outside the (Christmas) box and show us what you come up with!

I've chosen Crissy's adorable new image "Sharing the Warmth", available from Whimsy Stamps for my card. Aren't they so cute snuggling together for warmth? I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of mice (we grow wheat here in country South Australia, so the grain brings mice plagues - horrid little blighters! But there is no way these cute little snuggle bugs could be the same things! Crissy manages to make EVERYTHING cute!! ;)

My Mum challenged me to go 'purple' (her favourite colour), and I teamed it with 'aqua' (my favourite colour) and this is what I ended up with...

And a close-up of Crissy's image...

I'd love you to pop over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's for a visit and see more details about my card!

Now it's your turn to show us your 'CHRISTMAS CARD IN NON-TRADITIONAL COLOURS'!! Challenge #22--Thanks/Thanksgiving--Shannah's Turn

Hi Everyone!

Our theme for October is THANKS/THANKSGIVING. That means  "Thanks" or "Thanksgiving" cards are welcome for this challenge!

Now we don't celebrate 'Thanksgiving' here in Australia, but I have lots of lovely friends in the US and Canada who do - all of whom I'm very thankful for! (Not to mention that Crissy made such a cute turkey image that I wanted to play with hehe!)

So I've chosen Crissy's "Turk in Boots" image, available from Whimsy Stamps for my 'Thanksgiving' card. Though I think I'm the turkey 'cause I have to admit I actually don't know what colour a turkey is.... So I took a wild-turkey guess and just had fun!

So here's my Challenge #22 - Thanks/Thanksgiving card...

And the angled view...

I'd love you to gobble-on over to my blog Embellished ExpresShan's for more details about my card!

Challenge #20--K.I.S.S.--Keep It Simple Stamper--Shannah's Turn

Hi! I'm Shannah and I live in the beautiful Hills region of South Australia. My wonderful hubby is a Police Officer, and we have one cat (i.e. demanding fur-baby!). I love traveling, photography, talking and reading, and am happy as long as I'm learning something!
I took up card-making about 3 years ago, and the very first stamps I fell in love with were Crissy's High Hopes cuties! So you can imagine how excited, nervous, and completely honored I am to be a member of Crissy's Crew! :)

So today I'm here to share my very first card as a Crissy Crew member - talk about a dream come true!

Our challenge for the month of August is K.I.S.S. -- Keep It Simple Stamper.
Tricky, right? I had to slap my own fingers to stop myself adding all the yumminess that we card-makers love! (Though I did sneak in just a tiny bit of bling and flowers.... Because after all this IS my very first card for Crissy - and it couldn't be nekkid!)

I also decided to take 'K.I.S.S.' literally, and used Crissy's absolutely adorable digital image "Nose to Nose", from Whimsy Stamps.  This gorgeous little girl giving an 'Eskimo Kiss' to her puppy looks so much like my beautiful niece Ava that I totally fell in love with her!

Hop on over to My Blog - Embellished ExpresShan's - for more details about my card - I'd love to meet you!

Now it's your turn to show us your K.I.S.S. cards!!
