Isn't this lovely?! The colour and texture grabbed my eye as soon as I saw it. Hand made from end grain mesquite, this Mesquite Cutting Board Round With Forged Hoops has stainless steel hoops driven in at a 10 degree angle to prevent the board from splitting, and since it was crafted by a retired aerospace engineer I'm pretty sure it will last a lifetime! Jack, the talented artisan behind Mequite Forge and Cooperage, says he has always had a love of wood and metalworking. He is a cooper as well, a craft steeped in history and I am so pleased to see someone upholding that wonderful handmade tradition.
