Saturday's Inspirational Challenge

The challenge for today was to be inspired by The Felt Garden
I used Artfully Asian From SU as the background for my card. I love the saying.
Enjoy and have a great Day!!

I am so proud of the new owners and wish them well...Cambria, Joy, Marianne, and Kim...
Good luck ladies

I am not even sure where I bought this stamp, but Until I found COPICS I never liked how it turned out. I used circle scallops from nesties for the circles.

My Supply of Acrylic stamps is sooo limited. I think I have 3 sets
This one is from CTMH called Always Remember. This is also for the WSC66 of Beate'

Water Colors Challenge

The challenge was to use watercolor paper in some form or another. Here are my entries.

This is Holy Triptych from SU. All watercolor is completed with Reinkers and Aqua Painters

The following is a stamp that my niece Cambria (Stamp a little Love Baby!) gave to me. I used shimmerz to highlight the heart balloons

This is called Summer in the sun bu SU and I used watercolor crayons from SU with an aqua painter...The background was created using crayons and aqua painters. I live in Oregon and we do have beautiful sunsets.

My Dad....EXPIRED 11/11/06

I want to take a minute to remember my Dad on this the anniversary of his death.

He was one of the kindest men I have ever known. There are a lot of things that I could say about Dad, but I think the most important is that HE NEVER LIED TO ME. He was always there as a support, no matter how badly I had screwed up. He and Mom put their life on hold to help me when I had a horrible car wreck. When it came time for Dad to retire and he and Mom to travel...They were taking care of my disabled child because I couldn't. He love to fish and camp and the most important thing in his life was his sweetie ( my mom) that he met on his 16th birthday. They were married for almost 60 years when he died....November 11, 2006......Rest in Peace Pops...Know you are Missed Everyday.

All of the following cards were CASED From WendyBell as part of the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS. The links to Wendys cards are located in my gallery on SCS. My Name there is SUMTOY

During this last week I have been really busy making all kinds of cards. I was able to attend a get together of our group InkforBrains. It is made up of SUDemos that have Cambria as their upline. We are all so blessed to know this wonderfully talented stamper and awesome person.

I am totally convinced that I am addicted to stamping as I traveled over 400 miles to stamp for 4 hours.

The challenge was to use a stamp that is meant to be one thing and make it appears as something else. The stamp that I used for the Turkey are Pick A Petal. I thought he was sorta cute by the time I got finished with him.
The challenge for today was Cracked...I found an older retired SU stamp called antique Cracking and designed this birthday card.

The Sketch challenge this week was awesome. I chose to make three cards.

Updates!!

These are a few of the cards that I have made during this last week, I will upload more later

I am trying to arrange my stamp room and find supplies. I found my heat tool today as well as my Janome sewing machine. I hope I can start adding to my collection of cards shortly.

Thanks for stopping by...come back soon as I will be making cards again. Here is the prototype for a shoebox swap that is coming up.

Mom has passed

Last night at 5PM our mother went to join our father in heaven. Mom had met dad on his 16th birthday and she died on what would have been his 82nd birthday. Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts that I have received.

Family Changes

I have not been making cards as I have my brother here from New Zealand. He came over about 10 days ago to be with family as our mother has been quite ill.
