Growing up in the family I did was so wonderful. Every year we would take that family vacation. Living in Oregon was such a blessing as the coast was usually the point of destination.

I have very fond memories of playing in the sand with my brother when we were quite young, then as we got older I have memories of friends going too. By the time I was a teenager, my mom and I would talk walks on the beach and talk for hours about life and the future and HOPE. One of the things she always said was never give up. Tomorrow will be a better day. I have tried to live with that direction in my mind. Oh how I wish I could go back to those days and get a redo, really appreciate the wisdom of Mom and Dad. (R.I.P.)

I made this card to have on hand. There are times when a get well card is not appropriate and a thinking of you is not enough, or even when someone is just having a rough time with life.

I love the ocean and lighthouses.

Copic Color Challenge #59

I made this card for my daughters 21st Birthday. We got her as a 12 year old and adopted her 2 years later. This image reminded me so much of her great love of shopping. She would sit and make a list for a month before we would go get back to school clothes. I like the colors for the challenge that were chosen for this week,

I think they go so well with each other. I never would have used them together without the challenge.

Personal Note...Upcoming surgery

I went to a neurosurgeon last week and he said I needed back surgery...Well I said thanks for your opinion, but this is my back and I want a second opinion. I finished that evaluation on the 6th of April and I am scheduled for surgery on the 28th. I will be unable to make cards and spend much time on the computer for about 4-6 weeks, so please excuse my absence and lack of responses.

Somebody likes to sit in moms lap while I try to type, stamp, do anything....but she is cute. About 6 months old now and Turbo really fits her. She is the fastest dog I have ever seen. She can grab something off of the floor and be gone in a flash!!

For the sketch Challenge
