I'm lacking creativity lately to create any freebies and apologize for not posting more as of late.
When I'm stressed I tend to "hide" from the world.....but here I am.

Tonight's Weight Watcher update is 1.6 more lost for a total of 66.8. GREAT meeting tonight about Thanksgiving and how to manage what we're eating and not go totally out of control. It is ONLY one meal too as I've read on the boards here online. I KNOW I'll do great at managing myself and the food.

Pity Party is Over

Well, my pity party ended. Luckily, my neighbor wasn't mad at me for my big mouth. Afterall, she didn't put me in the position I'm in and neither did the girl who made goal and had lost 15 pounds. All I know is it's working for me now, and I'm going to keep doing it! :-)

As you've seen on my blog I tend to every so often post free samples I've found around the web. I have to admit I've sent more time lately doing this than probably anything else I do on the web. Hodge Podge

I've read a lot of things about what makes a successful blog. The biggest hint they give you is to pick something and try to concentrate on just that. The problem for me in that is that I like SO many things I don't want to limit myself. I've also decided I'm never going to be famous for my blog so I'm blogging for me. I hope someone else will get some enjoyment out of what I post and will come back to visit again. Comments are always appreciated.

This afternoon when hubby is done with work we'll be leaving (again!) for a weekend. My son's band that he plays drums with (SHU PipeBand) do this once a year. They rent this HUGE cabin with tons of bedrooms and we all go there and spend the weekend together. Now mind you, when my son first joined I did NOT go. I relished being home alone that weekend since my hubby would go with him. Then, however, the women of the band and the wives decided that nooooooooo, they wanted me to join them! So last year I sucked it up and went. I had a wonderful time other than the shower (think very small and icky) and the fact that I wanted my bed pushed out from the walls since I saw a spider when we first got there and I didn't want him crawling on me through the night. Are you getting the idea here? I am so NOT a camper.

Now it's time again for our yearly jaunt and this year, well, I just don't want to go. I keep thinking of that icky shower even though I'll only shower once (we come home early enough Sunday that I wait until I'm home.) I also have been stressing about the food since everyone picks all weekend and that is no longer part of what I do. The other stressor is that everyone drinks heavily Sat night and again, I can't do that and watching a bunch of drunks is not fun. Lastly, the Olympics open tonight and I just want to be home watching it on my tv. Did I whine enough yet? I'm sure it will all be fine and Sunday I'll be saying what a great time I had again this year.

This morning is the day my guys leave for 4 days. They will travel today to the middle of the state and meet up with a group called the Pack Shack. They will provide all the supplies and a guide and they embark tomorrow for a trip on the Delaware River. They are excited and I'm nervous. I'm not sure why either. I'm just staying out of the way as they finish up their packing.

It will be a quiet day then. Maybe I'll do some cleaning since I like having it clean once they leave and I know it will stay that way since I'm the only one here. It should be nice so I'll get some pool time in too.

Weekend

This weekend was full of LOTS of pool time! It was the warmest it's ever been for the first time of getting in. It wasn't even cold to go down the steps. It's been so hot that the water is really warm. As I swam around the pool instant peace came over me as I relaxed. I plan on spending a lot of time out there again today especially since I won't have a car. Hubby is taking mine for an oil change since I can't stand that Honda garage. They are HORRIBLE to deal with.

A lot got done here this weekend outside. The pool is now totally functional....hubby stained some more of the deck so most of it is done now and he also did almost all the hedges. They look SO nice when they are cut. But talk about a huge job! Now the grass needs cut again. It's never ending.

We also went to my cousin's graduation party. Good thing there was a bit of a breeze going at most times. We were under the pavilion the whole time we were there. It's always good to spend time with family though. At least for me. I enjoy it.
