Good morning sweeties! I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas. I spent the last couple of days enjoying my family, including my new little granddaughter who is only 3 weeks old :) Of course I ate way too much food and sweets and I'm sure my clothes will be a little more tight than they were a few days ago. Even though Christmas has now come and gone I have one more Christmas project to share with you.
This lovely image is Princess and she's available at Funky Kits. I picked up this little wood frame at a local craft shop and painted it a cream color. I colored this adorable little girl with copics and colored pencils and added just a bit of Glamour Dust to her dress and crown. I glued the image to the back of the frame and then added a bow with a little flower. So now I have a new ornament to hang on my Christmas tree each year. I love this little project and hope to pick up more frames to make a few of these for next year!
I also have some sad news to share today. This is my last post as a member of the design team. I want to thank Karen for letting me be a part of the Sugar Nellie family for the last few years. I have loved every minute of coloring and designing with her beautiful stamps. I've also enjoyed working with the rest of this amazing team. These ladies are so talented and just the sweetest group of people to work with. And last but certainly not the least, I want to thank all of you that stopped by to leave me such lovely comments. Your kind words were always very much appreciated :)
Hugs, Anita

On The Wings Of Love
Good morning sweeties! I don't know about you but I'm still busy making Christmas cards. Today I've used one of the lovely fairies from the Return to Winter Wonderland release.
This little beauty is called On the Wings Of Love. You can find her and the other beautiful Sugar Nellie images at Funky Kits. I colored her with copics and colored pencils. I have added lots of Glamour Dust as I do love for my fairies to sparkle! I also used some of the Frantage embossing powder but I believe I need to practice more in order to get the lovely results that I see on other cards. My sentiment is stamped on the tag that's in the little kraft sack. I added a small poinsettia cut with a Memory Box die.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Gingerbread Cookies
Hello sweeties! I have a Christmas card I'm sharing with you today.
This sweet image is called Christmas Cookies and she's available in the Funky Kits shop as a digi image. I colored her with copics and then used my colored pencils to add some more shading. The star and ground are coated with Glamour Dust for some sparkle. I really wanted to focus on the stamp so I simply added some ribbon, a bow, pearls, and a little gingerbread button ... a very clean and simple design.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have some time to get inky today!

Christmas Blessings
Good morning sweet friends. Today I have used one of our new releases from the Return To Winter Wonderland collection.
This sweet fairy image is Hey Little Birdie and she was so much fun to color! I used my copics and then some colored pencils for extra shading. I added some Glamour Dust to her wings. You can find this fairy and all her friends over at Funky Kits.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Being Together
Good morning to all of you. Happy Thanksgiving to those of you that celebrate this holiday! Today I am coloring one of our new fairies from the Return to Winter Wonderland collection.
This beautiful fairy is Time Together and isn't she just precious? I love all the new fairies in this collection, such pretty faces and I love their little outfits too. I colored her with my copics and colored pencils and added lots of sparkle. Not many embellishments on this card because I wanted the fairy to be the focal point. The sentiment is Crafty Impressions' Warm Winter Wishes. You can find both the fairy and the sentiment at Funky Kits.
Thank you for stopping by!

Little Boots
Good morning sweet friends. Are you excited about our Return to Winter Wonderland release this weekend? I can promise that you are going to love these new images.
Today I have used this sweet Little Boots for my card. I used copics and colored pencils to color this adorable girl and her dog. I love that she has these boots for her doggy to wear. I can't let my grandson see this card or he will definitely want some boots for his new puppy to wear outside in the cold weather lol! I added a diecut flourish and flowers and added some pearls to their centers. You can find this stamp and lots more over at Funky Kits.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. Now, go get inky!!!

Mistletoe
Hello sweet friends! Today I'm sharing a card I made using one of my older Sugar Nellie stamps.
This sweet couple is called Mistletoe and the stamp is from the Christmas Manga collection. I think this image is perfect for a young couple sharing their first Christmas together ... or maybe even an older couple celebrating their first Christmas! I colored these cuties with copics and added some colored pencil for shading. My papers are some fun patterns from BoBunny and I added some snowflakes that I diecut from glittery paper. A very clean and simple card that should not cost a fortune to mail! You can find this stamp and lots of others from the Manga collection over at Funky Kits.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Happy Thursday sweet friends. I have been busy making Christmas cards lately but decided to take a break and make something different for today!
This stamp is The Story Teller and isn't she an adorable little fairy? I love the look on her face as this grasshopper is talking to her. I've colored her with copics and colored pencils in some summery colors. It has been cold and rainy here and these sunny colors made me forget about the nasty weather outside :) I added some Glamour Dust to her wings, of course. Then I added a bow and a few pearls to finish my card. You can find this lovely stamp over in the Funky Kits shop.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Holiday Greetings
Hello sweet friends. Today I'm sharing a card featuring one of the gorgeous images from our Winter Wonders collection.
This precious little cutie is Princess and you can find her over in the Funky Kits shop. She's one of my favorite images from the Winter Wonders collection ... but I guess I say that about all of them, don't I? I colored her with copics and colored pencils and then added some Glamour Dust to her crown, flower, and shoes. I've simply added a bow and some pearls to finish off my clean and simple card. Since this card will have to go in the mail I tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum and with such a lovely image, it should be the focal point of the card, right?
Thank you for stopping by for a visit. I hope you have a wonderful day and are able to find some time to get your fingers inky :)

Furry Friends
Hello sweet friends! The card I'm sharing today features one of the very first Sugar Nellie stamps I bought ...
I fell in love with this image the very first time I saw it and I still love it today! I think it's such a precious image, with that sweet little girl sitting on the polar bear's back. Oh, so cute! I colored them with copics and colored pencils and used lots of Glamour Dust on the snow-covered ground and her outfit. I also added some pearl dots around the image with my Pearl Pen. The little trees are from a new Impression Obsession die, as are the snowflakes. You can find this sweet image over at Funky Kits.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today. I hope I've inspired you to pull out your Sugar Nellie stamps and get inky!

Friends To The End
Hello sweet friends. Today I'm sharing a card I made for a dear friend. Just a little card to let her know that I'm thinking of her.
This sweet image is Dolly Pip and isn't she a cutie? You can find her over at Funky Kits with all the other adorable Pips. I colored her with my copics and colored pencils. I used a doily and some ribbon and then fussy cut her so that she looks like she's sitting on the ribbon. I added a few punched flowers with pearls and then tied on a little sentiment tag.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a chance to get your fingers inky today!

A Little Elf Made Magic
Good morning sweeties! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card using one of our newest digital releases ... Elf Made Magic.
I love Sugar Nellie's little fairies and elves :) I colored her with copics and colored pencils. Of course I used lots of Glamour Dust on her wings, outfit, the snow-covered ground, and the snowflakes. Then I added the pearls to the centers of the snowflakes. You can find this little elf and all her friends over at Funky Kits.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

My First Sugar Nellie Stamp
Good morning sweeties! Anita here today and I want to talk a little about how I first discovered the beautiful Sugar Nellie stamps. I was doing some blog surfing in January 2011 and ran across some cards featuring the adorable images from the Simply Sassy collection. Later that month I saw that the Simply Sassy DT was looking to add a couple of guest DT members to their team for a few months. I never thought I had a chance of being chosen but decided to give it a try anyway.
I placed my order and crossed my fingers that my stamps would arrive in time to get a card made to enter their GDT call. I stalked my mailman and then just a couple of days before the call was due to close, my stamps arrived! I quickly made a card and submitted it. I was over the moon when Maria Therese and Karen chose me as one of their lucky guests! Several months later one of their DT members stepped down and I was invited back as a permanent member. When the Simply Sassy team was no longer needed, Karen and Gayle were sweet enough to move me over to the Sugar Nellie DT. So as you can see, the Sugar Nellie family has been very kind to me :)
The first Sugar Nellie stamp that I colored was High School Student and I've used her again today on my card. She's still one of my favorites! I colored her with copics and colored pencils and added some flowers with pearls and a bow. Did you know that the Simply Sassy Blog is still open? It's a great place to visit for inspiration and the team members shared lots of tutorials over there too. Be sure to check it out!
I hope you've enjoyed hearing how I "discovered" the Sugar Nellie stamps. If you would like to share, we would love to hear how you discovered them too! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Merry & Bright
Hello once again sweet friends. We've made it to Friday and I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned :) I'm back today with another Christmas card. My stash is finally starting to grow and I am hoping to have enough made so that I don't have to make a mad dash completing Christmas cards at the last minute this year!
This sweet and beautiful little girl is Gingerbread Cookies, a digital image available over at Funky Kits. I colored her with copics and colored pencils and then added some Glamour Dust to her star wand and the snow-covered ground. I used some seam binding and pretty pearls for embellishments. You can find more details over on my blog.
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Merry & Bright
Hello sweeties. Well, it's Friday so we've got this weekend to look forward to, right? My plan for this weekend is to be creative. I've got lots of Sugar Nellie images stamped and printed and I hope to get lots of coloring done. I'm really hoping to get some Christmas cards completed! Today I have a card to share with you featuring one of our new Winter Wonders.
I adore penguins and immediately fell in love with this sweet image, Penguin Party. I love that little mouse that's helping wrap the presents, too. I colored this image with copics and colored pencils and used some Glossy Accents on the penguins beak and foot to give them some shine. There's Glamour Dust on his hat and the snow-covered ground, and then I added some Liquid Pearl dots along the outside of the image. I added a star flourish and a bow to complete my card.
You can find this new Winter Wonder digi and all the other gorgeous Sugar Nellie images over at Funky Kits. I hope you find some time this weekend to get your fingers inky!

Titania
Good morning sweet friends. As the year is half over I decided I better get busy with some Christmas cards, so that's what I'm sharing today.
I used the beautiful Titania on my card today. She is colored with copics and colored pencils and I've sprinkled on lots and lots of Glamour Dust! Whoever receives this card will probably still be seeing glitter everywhere for several months lol. I've added a delicate snowflake with some pearls. I added some lace and a flower and then used a pearl brad for the center of the flower. The sentiment is from an older set I've had for years. You can find all the gorgeous Sugar Nellie rubber and digi stamps over at Funky Kits.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Sending Happy Thoughts
Hello sweet friends! I hope you have a fun and crafty weekend to look forward to. I thought I would share a card with one of our new Summer Adorables today ...
Isn't she a gorgeous little girl? I colored her with copics and colored pencils and then I used some Star Dust Stickles on her necklace. My papers are some older ones from my stash and I thought the flower pattern was just perfect for this little sweetie. I've used a Memory Box die for the vine and a punch for the tiny flowers. I also used some gorgeous lace and a gingham bow on my card. You can find more details over on my blog and you can find all the fabulous Sugar Nellie images at Funky Kits.
Thank you for stopping by.

Isn't she just one of the prettiest girls around? And her outfit is so cute too. I colored her with copics and colored pencils and used a bit of Star Dust Stickles on the hearts on her blouse and purse and the flowers on her shoes. My papers are by Echo Park and I love the cheery, summer colors. The leafy die is by Memory Box and the butterflies are from CC Designs Cutters and Impression Obsession. You can find more details over on my blog and of course you can find all the Sugar Nellie Stamps over at Funky Kits.
Thank you for stopping by.
