the pemberley collection

I guess it's no secret that I've sorta kinda given up blogging. For now. Maybe forever. Maybe not.

I don't know yet.

But I haven't given up all my busy little projects I do to keep my life happy and healthy. No, not at all.

In fact, I have been quite busy.

This new collection of digital patterns, brushes and elements came from my deep love for Jane Austen and the literary worlds she created.  I think they would be great for making cards or party printables. I envision book club invites and art journaling pages.

All of the collection is orginal hand drawn sketches. There are 20 digital brushes (or stamps- whatever you like to call them) available. I created 6 patterns that mix and match. The elements file contains 11 separate watercolor images and 2 watercolor banners.

These graphics make great blog bling!

The entire collection can be purchased as a package or each file separately under the "Shop Digital Art" button at the top of the blog. Please make sure you read through the terms and conditions before buying the art to make sure that it is suitable for use regarding your particular project.

new set of photoshop brushes for the new year

I have a new set of photoshop brushes for sale. They were inspired by my recent trip to Sedona and they happily coincide with the current Native love trend sweeping the design world.

You can find them for sale with my other brushes under the brushes tab at the top of the page!

mandala rama

I've added some new brushes to my shop!

I've always loved mandalas. I've done great big ones on canvases with paint and gold foil and now I have doodled some and turned them into photoshop brushes.

Here's some of the projects I have done with my new brushes:

You can buy this set of brushes for $5. Just click the tab under the header.

brushes

When I was a wee lass I had hair down my back like a silky whip. It tickled my waist and covered my arms like a shawl.

I was fond of my hair because, well, all princesses have long hair. But the upkeep was torture.

"Grab the sink and bite on this comb." my mother would instruct me when it was time to brush through the snarls.

"You must suffer to be beautiful." She'd remind me as I groaned and winced.

What a wicked and cruel mother this princess had!

Yesterday I told The Boy to hold still while I brushed his hair.

"Quit moving around." I said. "Put your hands down. Grab the counter." I brushed. He winced.

And right there in the kitchen it came flying out of my mouth like a bat out of hell.

"You must suffer to be...cute."

Sheesh.

While we are talking about brushes, I thought I'd let you know I have more digital brushes of my illustrations for sale.

Five bucks. What a bargain.

You can buy them on the digital brush page located under the header.

sharing is for caring

Sharing is a problem in our home right now. Evidently Birdie owns every single item contained within  the walls of our house, plus all yard toys and garden tools.  No one else is to touch or even look longingly at anything that she is using/might be using in the next day or two.  If an item becomes boring, then someone else might be allowed to touch it until that time when it becomes appealing in some way. Then it is hers again. As long as we all abide by these rules no one gets hurt.

Someone gets hurt every. single. day. That person is almost always Frankie. Poor kid. He needs to grow faster.

It occurred to me that I've been hoarding some of my hand carved stamps. I have a fairly large collection of stamps that I have made over the last few years and for the most part, they just sit in the drawer collecting dust.  Each stamp is one-of-a-kind so I can't very well share the actual stamp with all my readers.

But I could make digital stamps of my hand carved stamps and share them that way.  So that is what I have been working on lately.

In honor of my little Birdie who hasn't learned to share, I give you "Birds & Bulbs". This is a set of seven photoshop brushes, or stamps as some people call them.

There will be more sets to follow. Stay tuned.

The set costs $5. The license is for personal use. I will send the file within 24 hours of your purchase.
