...once again drinks loads and loads of coffee. Sleeping well these days (nights), but still I'm tired like never before.
...of course get some work done. This is the busy season for people like me!
...listen to ace new single Saint Song by Cartridge at least a dozen times. Stream it and let’s tap our feet together.
Saint Song by Cartridge
...give The People’s Key a listen. One reviewer claims it is simply one the best Bright Eyes albums; which I believe is quite something!
...try to make up my mind whether or not I like the new Figurines track New Colors.
...be happy that the download link at Burlesque Records for the Refractory Period by The Sexual Outlaws is finally up and running. But at the same time be a wee bit disappointed that the EP contains the exact same tracks as those available from the band’s webpage.
...give the free be the one EP by Moby another listen.

Shorties...
Stereogum has posted it and so will I. This is the new video for The Air We Breathe by Figurines. Danish humor I suppose?
+ The Air We Breathe
The Raveonettes clones Death Valley Sleepers are giving away a new track. Even though it's tempting to start whining about the lack of originality, the track and band are nothing but awesome.
+ Girl Got Lost
Not sure that I'll ever get used to music sung in German, but the quite catchy Teil von Dir by Hamburg located indie pop band DALIEGTGOLD is one of the rare exceptions.
+ Teil von Dir
Indie rock band Sir Salvatore has a new EP out called Continental Breakfast. This "appetizer" sounds pretty good.
+ Ambalina
Finally I'm a registered user at the Richard Hawley Forum and will now start lobbying for a Copenhagen gig.

Figurines - The Air We Breathe...
Morningside Records gives away another track from the new album by Figurines - When The Deer Wore Blue. Some Beach Boys influences here? Will be back with my comments/thoughts on the album whenever I get my copy of it (my local CD shop isn't very realiable these days).

This and That....
This is old news, but remember to download the new (and excellent single) Hey, Girl by Figurines. The expectations for the album When The Deer Wore Blue (out later this month in DK) are sky high!
+ Hey, Girl
The more I listen the more I like Our Love To Admire!
If I ever meet Soko "I swear I'll kill her". What started out as a sweet little novelty thing is now all over the airways and for every listen that French accent annoys me more and more!
I've been listening to a lot of radio the past two weeks and it was great to hear P3 play songs by Kind of girl, Turboweekend and The Floor Is Made Of Lava (songs here).
FALK recommends this great new track by German new wave/gothic band Curious.
+ Resurrection
And J.A. recommends this catchy one by US electronic/powerpop trio Iris. Taken from the band's 2005 album called Wrath.
+ Appetite
Finally a nice one from the mailbox. The Lion by NY one man project Goodbye The Band reminds me (in a very positive way) of of Montreal.

Mushi +++
My current favorite album is the recent release by Danish one-man project Mushi (in real life known as Rasmus Fynbo). The album (released March 19) is called Unfairytales and has received some pretty good reviews in the Danish media (you can read a few here if you understand Danish). The music varies quite a lot throughout the 12 tracks on the album, and sounds like he's done his best to mix as many musical genres as possible. Whether you want Balkan rhythms, western themes, cabaret, country or the straight forward pop/rock song begging for airplay; it's all there and it never gets boring. However the real strength of the album is that he never gets carried away (and turns the album into an experimental playground), but instead remembers that the great and catchy tune must always be present. I bought the album because I enjoyed his 2004 release Unbelonging (download it for free here) and hoped that the new album would be equally good. But it wasn't. It was even better!
+ Pieces of Nothing (posted with permission from the artist)
+ Stream 5 more tracks
The Joe Coffee Project from Stockholm sounds like a Swedish version of The Raveonettes (this is meant to be a compliment). The band has released 1 (or maybe 2) EP's, but neither the band's homepage nor the Myspace profile have been updated since October last year. So perhaps the band is no more, which would be quite a shame!
+ Things That We Never Received
+ The Winter Song
If you have a couple of minutes I recommend that you check out (stream) the new fine single Hey Girl by Figurines at the band's Myspace profile. Or download it here.
Danish rock band No end has been forced to change the adress of their Myspace profile, because the old one was "drowned" by spammers. One of the (many?) annoyances of Myspace I guess?
