Wrangler s/s 2011: Worn across America

Wrangler is racing through America with it's new spring/summer 2011 collection: Worn Across America. Imagine that you're only wearing one pair of jeans on your roadtrip through the United States; for men: the anti-fit Ben; and for women: the low-slim Molly. They start their journey like the dry and rinse-look Indigo. After a couple of months they feel like Just Worn. As the journey unfolds, the mustaches, patches started to fade and signs of use are starting to appear. Eventually, the jeans are rather destroyed. Wrangler has recreated the lifespan of the jeans in 4 phases, each one more worn than another.

For the new Evening collection, Zara did what it does best; combining effortless elegance and the hottest trends (leather, metallics, red, sequins and florals) and transform it into a wonderful holiday collection. Whether your a fan of feminine, glamorous dresses or masculine suits (which are totally Kate Moss by the way), Zara has it all. Have you decided on your party outfit yet?

H&M s/s 2011 preview

It's cold and dark days like these that really make me long for spring. I long for the day I can wear floaty dresses, shorts and short skirts in all kinds of bright colors again, not wondering if I forgot to bring my jacket because otherwhise I would freeze outside. I long for the day not having to cover every inch of my body to prevent myself from getting a cold, but instead walk around in a simple tee or blouse and feeling the warm touch of the sun on my skin..

They really must love Scarlett Johansson at Mango (or the sales numbers of the clothing she represents in the campaigns).  Again she managed to renew her contract to star in another one of the campaigns of the Spanish retailer. At least she did a better job than Olivia.

Long-time Fred Perry fan Amy Winehouse teamed up with the brand to create her own 17-piece collection of apparel and accessories. Classic pieces – the twin-tipped M12 polo shirt, the Harrington jacket, the jumper dress – are given the full Winehouse treatment but still remain instantly recognisable.

Zara October Lookbook

Zara always manages to surprise us each month with their versions of the trends that were spotted on the catwalk. And this month it's no different. Overall, the clothes are minimalistic, which makes the looks simple, but classy. The best pieces of this lookbook are definitely the coats; the double breasted one in black, the brown cashmere and the straight wool ones in classic black or bright red are my favorites. H&M Fall Fashion

Yesterday, you could see a quick preview of H&M's Fall Fashion in the trends video. These looks really make me long for fall, even though I'm more of a summer person. I really love the flirty dresses combined with rough leather jackets and trousers that make sure you stay warm. There are some military inspired looks as well, like the black military jacket and a lot of khaki pieces. The looks kind of show a fun way of how you can play with different colors during the colder season.

Patrizia Pepe Evening lookbook

Previously you've seen the catwalkpictures of the Patrizia Pepe collection. And that was not all! This time I'll show you the lookbookpictures of the Patrizia Pepe Evening line for fall/winter 2010. This collection features sexy body-hugging dresses and blouses using shiny fabrics, fur coats, leather, lace, comfy knits, gold sequins and gorgeous trousers. If you're looking for bright colors this season, you won't find them here. The key colors are black, navy blue, plum, grey and beige which guarantee a sophisticated eveninglook for fall/winter.

Last week I showed you the Zara September lookbook for women, now it's time to show you the TRF lookbook! This collection features this fall's hottest trends from preppy blazers, faux fur pieces, plaid jackets, leather aviator jackets, lace and denim accents, floral prints and beige/tan/camel items.

Spotlight: Maje

Another brand that captured my heart during my Lille trip a little while ago is Maje, a cool Parisian label from designer Judith Milgrom. The designs are simple, but always capture the very essence of femininity. Maje is often compared to Sandro, that other French brand I discussed before, due to it's style, target audience and price tag. The label follows the trends closely. We see double-breasted jackets, a lot of black, grey, gold, red and browns, leopard prints, leather, lace, fur, shearling and minimalism as the red thread through the collection.

With all the H&M x Lanvin fuss, Zara got a little bit out of the picture. But they shouldn't be because today is the launch of the new Zara website and the start of shopping Zara online! Well, at least for some lucky countries. We'll just have to sit and wait 'til we can enjoy it too. H&M 'By Night' capsule collection

Starting in September, H&M will start carrying a capsule collection of must-have dresses. Here is a sneak peek of the 20-piece collection, which includes any and all of the following: chiffon, draping, metallic beading and fringing in black, gold and silver with a hint of green. During Spring/Summer 2011 there are plans to release three new capsule dress collections.

Previously I showed you the new fall/winter campaign of Patrizia Pepe. Now it's time to reveal the gorgeous ultra-feminine fall/winter looks that Patrizia has created for us. 

New Look Idol 6

This is already the 6th Idols collection from New Look. The collection has a grunge bohemian feel and is inspired by a free, uninhibited girl that escapes into her own fantasy world. This in combination with the style of the Roma gypsies creates a romantic and dark look that's perfect for free-spirited girls with an unpredictable side.

We see hues of purple, mint green, charcoal, lilac with touches of antique gold thrown in, giving a vintage, slightly distressed vibe that is inspired by nature and dusk on a hot summer night.

Urban Outfitters a/w lookbook

Here's a preview of what Urban Outfitters has in store for you this autumn/winter. For the shots for the Fall 2010 lookbook, Urban Outfitters went on a little trip into the New York City borough of Queens. Using urban landscapes as a background, the lookbook is styled to look like a series of faded photographs.

Spotlight: Sandro

I discovered Sandro in Printemps and Galeries Lafayette during my recent trip to Lille (France) and I was hooked immediately. Sandro is a French brand offering ultra feminine designs with a nice twist.  They know perfectly how to translate the season's hottest trends into very wearable and casual pieces. The outfits are young and fresh, and can be mixed and matched to your heart's content.
