Challenges, challenges...

Well the challenge bug must have hit me again as I've been making lots of cards to enter in challenges! YAY! Today I have some cards I made for Anyone for Anya and Anya Ink.

My first card uses Amelia - from the Greeting Farm isn't she so sweet!! Thanks to my bloggy friends who stamped her up for me! the first background is left over photo paper that I airbrushed for my Oh, Alice card last week! I also coloured the flowers with my Copics so they would match the colouring on Amelia.

Now..on to the Challenge + info... Anyone for Anya are BE DAZZLED and so want us to use sparkles on a project! Oh, OK! If I must then.. lol! I have used lots of Spica glitter pen on my image.. I even outlined her in baby blue Spica - although it's not showing up well in the photo BUT I also added bling dots and silver brads (they sparkle too)! The main background has silver sparkly threads through it (but once again the photo does not do it justice)! check out Anyone for Anya for some gorgeous DT inspiration!
Copics used to colour: face: E000,E00,E11, R20, hair: E30, 31,33, yellow: Y11, Y15, blue, B00, 02, 05, Spicas - baby blue, clear, lilac, buttermilk.

The second card uses another TFG image also stamped for my by a lovely bloggy friend!

I coloured her in red, white and green for a Christmassy look as Anya Ink are celebrating Christmas in July for their current challenge! :D There are some very lovely DT creations on the Anya Ink blog and a wonderful prize sponsored by Bizzy Becs - so pop on over and join in the fun!! Copic colours used: C1, C3, E31,33, 35, R32,35,37, E000,E00, E11, YG63, YG67

Anya Ink :: sketch challenge

The challenge at Anya Ink this week is a lovely little sketch and this is the card that I am submitting for it! I just love this stamp of Anya in the bath (from the Greeting Farm) - that would be lovely - a nice bubble bath - don't you think!?

I have stamped me time Anya on to Xpress It's new Copic blending card * and I am so impressed with this card... it stamps up beautifully and is such a pleasure to colour on... so smooth and lovely! I've been experimenting with a few different blending techniques recently so you will no doubt see them popping up! I did a little bit of feathering for her headband!

I usually colour skin in with the R00, 11, 20 combination... but now that I have the E000 I went for a new combo... E000, 00 and 02 .. bit paler and less pink'ish.

Thanks for stopping by.

The Copics I used were:
face/skin - E000, E00, E02 (R20 - mouth)
hairband - RV95, RV42
hair - E37,35, 33, 31
bathtub - B97, 95, 93
bubbles - BV31

and shock horror - no white gel pen on the image... just around the circle :D

* I will be selling this in my webstore! :D

Non crafty waffling + apology....
I am just so exhausted.... For instance it's almost 1pm and I'm ready for bed! apologies in advance if I do not get round to your blogs much in the next little while... I will try but I am just so tired... have started a new round of IVF this week (and an increased drug dosage for it). The whole process is physically and emotionally quite draining. It's a huge rollercoaster ride ... lots of highs and lows.. I'm hoping this time for more highs than lows but we'll see! :D

Anya Ink + Flutterby Wednesday

PhotobucketThis week the challenge at Anya Ink is no printed paper ... ahhh... I  used to make cards without printed paper all the time but now it's hard! Thankfully I have a cuttlebug and could create some textured patterns instead!! Check out the gorgeous DT creations at Anya Ink!!

At Flutterby Wednesday the challenge is an open one... but has to include a butterfly, fairy or angel! I have cut out a butterfly and embossed it (on the cuttlebug) and added some pearl drops to decorate! Pop on over and check out the wonderful inspiration posts!

I used a bit of Neenah paper for this card (Thanks to Trace for sending me a piece to try) ... ooh - it's a delight to colour in on and I think you can see the difference - blends so easily! Looks like that's something I  HAVE to invest in! lol! You were right Randi!!!

Now - I will only post once tomorrow :D

Stuff used: Ruby - stamp from the Greeting Farm

Copic markers, white gel pen, pearl drops, embossing folders - script and swiss dots, butterfly diecut + embossing folder + cardstock

Anya Ink :: Flowers

I'm stoked to be a Guest Designer for Anya Ink this week :D
For this challenge Marcia has asked us to make a project that uses flowers ...

I had a bit of fun with this .... I used Anya from the Rock the Farm stamp set... which I purchased at The Stamp Spot! She is coloured with Copics and then stuck onto a flower-y shape... The other flowers in the pot are blooms layered and stuck onto the stem (paper wrapped around a bamboo skewer). The pot is filled with dirt/ wood chips! Here's a couple of other shots for you to see my flower creation in our garden. lol

Pop on over to Anya Ink and check out the fabulous DT creations... and why not enter this week - as it's an easy one ... you can make anything that uses flowers (and contains a The Greeting Farm image on it)

I've come back home from Canberra with a headcold (I thought it was just allergy initially but not now :P) and thus I think it will be bed for me today... not much crafting, colouring or bloghopping...plans amended - next week will be my catch up time

Anya Ink is back and the challenge is....
A colour challenge, Black, White and one other colour of your choice.

so as you can see I used pink (seems to be my flavour of the month - surpassing purple surprisingly). I used Hope and Grace Snuggle that was sent me in a swap. Looks like I have to add another stamp to my evergrowing wish list. lol! Coloured with copics and the paper used is DCWV!

I don't list the colours of Copics I use generally... but i often write them down.... do ppl think it's a helpful thing to see on a post or do you just skim past it like me??

Anya Ink :: odd shaped cards

This week's challenge at Anya Ink is .... odd shaped cards (no rectangles or squares) ... so I decided to make a heart shaped card! Here it is.....

I used Hope and Grace Snuggle (so cute - Thanks for this image Sue!!)
she is coloured in with Copic markers + whisper markers.... the paper is Little yellow bicycle and the blooms are Creative memories.
Thanks for stopping by.

Anya Ink :: Vintage look

The challenge this week at Anya Ink is Vintage style... the DT have made some lovely projects... pop on over and have a look!! Here is my card....

I kind of went for a shabby chic/ vintagey/ distressed look (I think) lol!
I paperpieced Anya with some "vintagey" papers, coloured the rest of her with Copics and then I added photo corners to some of the layers to mimic an older style photo album.... lace ribbon and white cotton to add to the look.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Anya Ink :: boy cards

Last week I was VERY slow.... I coloured this cute pirate Ian (thanks to Sue for stampin him up for me) in the colours Orange and Blue but that was as far as I got... so I'm using him for this week instead... the challenge at Anya Ink is to make a boy card! So here is mine.... kept it fairly simple as boys don't tend to like fuss as much.

Thanks for looking!

Anya Ink is staples, ribbon and circles

This is my card for the current Anya Ink challenge....which is to include:

Two different ribbons, any number of circles and staples

POP on over to Anya Ink - Marcia and Tracey have some gorgeous examples for you!

.... enter the challenge and you could WIN a Greeting Farm stamp!! And maybe you will be picked as the third DT member!

Now for my card:

I could not find my stapler ... mmm :P but I found staples.. coloured them purple with my copics and then put them on by hand, not the easiest but it worked, I then tied some redish pink ribbon over the 4 corner staples (ooh - I actually have 3 types of ribbon on here - hope that's OK) ... I'm counting the "O"s in "once upon a time" as my circles.... mmmm - it fits the criteria with some twisting. lol!

Here's a close up of Fairy Chloe ... I added glossy accents to her wings - but hard to get a good photo of that!

Thanks for looking! Oh... tomorrow we're off to Lord Howe Island! whoo hoo! Can't wait - Just have to finish packing! Will have some posts scheduled for whilst away and I'll see you all again in about 10 days!
