Artful INKables Epic Tales bookmark

Time for some twilight inspired stuff.. tee hee .. we saw lots of New Moon DVD/ merchandise at Big W today and I was asking DH to buy me an Edward shirt .. He said I could buy it myself! lol! I didn't though, so anyway... I have once again used the Epic tales set available at Artful INKables HERE! This time I have made a bookmark...

I've used a few of the stamps from the set plus one from the Fictionally inspired set (Greetings from) ... The top part was made by stamping onto the cardstock to clean off the stamps - I thought it looked pretty cool with the faint lines on top of each other and decided to use it on the bookmark. I decided to use the eyes and think they look a bit freaky the way I've cut and laid them on the bookmark.. but let's face it the Volturi 'from Volterra' ARE freaky!

This bookmark would go perfectly in any of the Twilight books OR any other lovely fantasy novel
(well any book really)

Here is another view with the ribbon hidden behind the bookmark...

and a close-up so that you can see the gorgeous charm ... Kristin has some lovely charms available in the store HERE and there are some Vampire Romance themed charms here including the apple like I have used on this bookmark :D

Thanks for looking! Don't forget to check the Artful Inkables blog tomorrow for the new THINK INK challenge!!

Thanks to Trace who stamped up this beautiful Sweet Pea image for me. I coloured it in with R000, R00, E000, R20, V12, V09, V06, V000, V11, V04, R81, R83, B60

Michelle Perkett studio Earth Day blog hop

Hello! And welcome to my stop on the Michelle Perkett Studio Earth Day blog hop, if you came here from Deanne's blog you are right on track.. if not please pop on over to the beginning Michelle's blog

Michelle wanted us to Create something using only recycled material (other than ink and markers/paint) cards are fine but lets get creative with your recycled plastic, paper, cardboard and whatever you like, as long as its recycled!!:)

Also, there must be some green in your design as well! OK.. so, here is my card...

I used this gorgeous emerald enchantment stamp and had to colour the circle shape in like a globe for the earth day theme! I used a mix of different Greens and blues, Blue greens for this card and coloured on Xpress IT's Copic blending card (it's so lovely!)... I also added some Kinderglitz sparkles. Want to see some before shots ... I used 2 old cards and a pasta box for the main elements of this card...

Lest We Forget!

"They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

we will remember them."
"Here's Rosemary - That's for remembrance!"

Today is ANZAC Day and here in Australia and in New Zealand - we remember all those who fought for the freedom which we enjoy today. I am very thankful to all past and present soldiers who sacrificed so much. Thinking also of the families of those in service now and for all those who've lost loved ones! xxx

Oh Alice ... CHAPTER 10: QUEEN of TARTS...

"On this the White Rabbit blew three blasts on the trumpet, and then unrolled the parchment scroll, and read as follows:
`The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts,
All on a summer day:

The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts,
And took them quite away!'

Uh ohhhhhhh...someone has stolen the Queen's Tarts! That's a no-no! We need to restore the sweetness back to Wonderland, don't you agree? That means it's time for a sweet treat here...or maybe a mushroom or two? I think I saw one floating around here that said "Eat Me" ;) Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to incorporate FOOD into this week's project! Everyone loves a little treat, right? We have ANOTHER TREAT for you today...and it's a rather LARGE and generous portion!

We are thrilled to welcome...

as our sponsor this week!

Make sure your entry is linked up to the Oh, Alice! blog by FRIDAY April 30th at 8PM CST for your chance to win the Gift Certificate and be sure to stop by the CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS store to savor the sweetness they have for sale! We can't wait to see what delectable delights YOU come up with! Please use keyword OAC10 when uploading the a public gallery...thanks! Life is short...SAVOR the SWEETNESS!

I used a digistamp by Michelle Perkett - available here as well as some scummy rasberry and cupcake glittery CS. I also used some cupcake brads I got at the Craft Expo back in ??March??
The sentiments are from Bizzy Becs and I cut out the inside of the tickets to use on this card!

Mmm... yes, actually I think I'm off to make a cuppa and have some cake! LOL!!

A sweet as sugar 30th card for a busy weekend

Well I'm home again after a looong weekend in Adelaide!! :D
I went for my friend's 30th and here is the card that I made for her... it was from a few of us... when I lived in residential college 12 years ago (oh -feeling old) there were three other girls that I became great friends with. They are still counted as my closest friends now... and as we all live in separate states it's not often that we get together so it's special when we do.... Anyway .. I wanted to have 4 girls on the card... so I used some Miss Anya's that were stamped up for me by Em and Debbie! Thanks girls :D

I am entering this card into the Anyone for Anya challenge... which is Sweet as Sugar - they want cards to be pretty and girly... I think this is pretty and girly - Don't you???

Here's a pic of the four of us at the party... as you can tell I had a haircut over the weekend too!

Well I was up at 4.30am to go catch the plane home so I'm feeling pretty dopey and waffling more than normal I think - have to keep going back and deleting bits... haha!! Was very thankful to C who woke up and drove me to the airport this morning and then also for Guy who picked me up - which meant he was late for work... but I was glad to see him.

anyway, my Spring kit from Magnolia has arrived! YAY! so I'm sure you'll be seeing lots of that on here soon and I'll be back later with an Artful INKables card AND tomorrow is the Artful INKables blog hop so make sure you join in!!

am still catching up on emails and blog reading/ visiting! Will talk soon! Thanks for stopping by,

Oh Alice ...CHAPTER 8: You can learn a lot of things from the FLOWERS...

`Never mind!' Alice said in a soothing tone, and stooping down to the daisies, who were just beginning again, she whispered, `If you don't hold your tongues, I'll pick you!'

There was silence in a moment, and several of the pink daisies turned white.

`That's right!' said the Tiger-lily. `The daisies are worst of all. When one speaks, they all begin together, and it's enough to make one wither to hear the way they go on!'

`How is it you can all talk so nicely?' Alice said, hoping to get it into a better temper by a compliment. `I've been in many gardens before, but none of the flowers could talk.'

Hello everyone! What a sweet, sunny sign of Spring it is when all of our floral friends come out to play! Here at the Oh, Alice! Blog, we definitely agree with Alice that you can learn a lot of things from the flowers! This week's challenge? You got it! USE FLOWERS on your card or project!

We have ANOTHER generous prize to give away this week! We at Oh, Alice are just floored at the outpouring of generosity from these wonderful companies and are thrilled to announce that this week's prize is being donated by STAMPOTIQUE!

That's right! ONE RANDOM WINNER will be chosen to WIN a $15 GC to the STAMPOTIQUE Make sure you link your creation on the Oh, Alice blog and use OAC8 as your keyword when uploading to a gallery. Thanks! store! (they sell rubber stamps and other goodies :) Good luck, and we'll announce the winner during next week's challenge, so get those entries in by Friday, April 16th at 8pm CST!

I'm in Orange this weekend as my sister is having an art show and so I can't tell you the Copics I used as I think I left that piece of paper back home.... but the image I used is Spring Flower from Spesch stamps ... I thought it fit perfectly with this week's quote... LOVE that part where all the flowers speak with Alice! :D The sentiment ticket is from Bizzy Becs. I raided my sisters ribbon stash and mum's scrapbooking paper as I left all my solid coloured card at home. So it's a mix mashed card today!! LOL! Here's a close up pic :) Once again I went crazy with my white gel pen!!

Happy Stamping and Happy Spring (or AUTUMN if you are like me. lol)!!
