Baby Layout Inspiration & Challenge Winner

Hello all! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

First up today, I wanted to share some inspiration from the member gallery. The gallery is LOADED with tons of inspiration and I wanted to give a
shout out to a few of my favorite baby layouts!

"Wonder" by Cayla73. That is just the sweetest little baby smile, ever. I love the journaling on this one, too.:)

"Introducing Miss Edie" by Ember S. Another sweet baby girl! I LOVE how she layered her title over the rub ons, and those strips of border punched patterned papers are perfect!

(This layout is headed to Scrapbook Trends magazine. Yay!)

"Sweet" by mammascrapper. I adore that she used a photo of herself as a child in this layout.

And because our boys are just as sweet...

"Hello" by simplytam. The yellow with the pop of red. Fabulous. I love the heart banner. The fun stitching. the black and white photo. Love it all.

"Computer Time" by Saracicle. I love her use of Whodunit here... and the sequence of photos. The title is an eye catcher, too! Such a sweet little man. :)

And now.. for the winner of the "baby colors" challenge..

Please shoot me an email at kimmithylaine@aol.com with your email address so I can get your gift card code sent out to you! :)

Thanks to everyone who participated! I enjoyed browsing through all of your wonderful layouts! :)

Have a great week!

Home Decor Blog Challenge Winner

Emily here, apologizing that I didn't get a winner picked until now for the Home Decor blog challenge posted two Mondays ago (1/18). I had spotty internet while away at CHA, so I never got around to seeing all the great projects entered into the challenge.

But WOW! Your entries sure impressed me, some beautiful works created, a lot with scraps or products that were collecting dust. I'm glad to see how much was accomplished. Thank you.

And without any further ado, Mindy aka wlsdrew is the winner with this cute framed project. Mindy please email and we'll get you set up with your $5 certificate!

Organization Challenge Winners

Hey everyone,
Just a quick post to thank you all so much for all of your tips for organizing my scrap space!! I can't wait to put several of them into action over the next few weeks. I'll make sure to post to the blog and show you my progress!
Now for the important part - I wanted to post all of the winners......all of them chosen with the random number generator on random.org:

The winner of the button/trims/ribbons organizations challenge was:

Houston said...
I love the snap n' store containers, I have some that are four compartments tall and they lock together and have a handle on the lid so I can pick it up and take them with me! They are clear so you can see what you have, which is always a plus! I have my different little bits divided out into... paper bits & tags, metal, epoxy's, chipboard... that way when I have a great spot for an embellishment I know where to go to find it!

Houston won the lovely Glossary add on pictured below:

The winner of the paper storage/organization challenge was:

I store my papers on company en my cardstock on colour and keep them in pizzaboxes. I think the Cropper Hopper should be a great idea for me. Thanks for all the idea's.
Moon69

Moon 69 won the fun and funky Footnotes add on pictured below:

The winner of the stamp/alpha/rub on organization challenge was:

Stephanie said.......For rub ons, I simply organize them in largest packages in the back and smaller ones in the front. That way the small ones don't get lost between taller packages.

Stephanie won the elegant Wisdom add on pictured below:

If you have not already, please email me at lorie@studiocalico.com so that I can make sure that we get these wonderful treasures sent out to you. I will need your full name and mailing address!

Thanks again to everyone for your participation, I had a great week! Can you believe all those cards that Emily put together??? I am continually amazed by her talent. Stay tuned to the blog and the message board for the winners to her challenges as well!

Till next time.....

Final Stop - Trims and Buttons

Sorry ladies, I completely forgot to draw a winner yesterday. I am the secretary of a chapter of my Alma Mater's booster club and we are having a chorus and band concert on Monday night. I have been trying to arrange a dinner for 200 people and get all of the RSVP info compiled and counted for the caterer today. I'm really sorry, picking a winner got lost in my head yesterday afternoon.....but I've finalized everything with the caterer, so I am free this afternoon to go back to hanging out here with my favorite ladies at Studio Calico.

OK - first order of business - a winner!

Per Random.org comment number 103 - Moon69 is our winner! She will be receiving a free Footnotes Add ON. Here is what she had to say about organizing paper:

I store my papers on company en my cardstock on colour and keep them in pizzaboxes. I think the Cropper Hopper should be a great idea for me. Thanks for all the idea's.
Moon69

Please send me an email at lorie@studiocalico.com and I will make sure that we get your free add on out to you in the mail! I also wanted to thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. It seems that the Cropper Hopper is very popular and functional. Parker and Emma's Mom gave me an idea though....my Dad is a retired carpenter and he is always looking for little projects to keep busy. I may just ask for a homemade wooden 12x12 paper holder for my birthday!!!

Today I am looking for tips for storing buttons, trims and ribbon. I currently have all of my buttons in a couple of cute little jars that I bought at IKEA. I like this method, except that you have to pour all of them out every time you need something specific. I have been keeping ribbons and trims in baby wipe boxes. Again, it is okay for storage, but hard to see what you have and even harder to get in there and dig it out without dumping the whole thing every time you are looking for something specific.
I also have this little miscellaneous pile that tends to accumulate on my desk. Things like tickets, strips of paper, stray chipboard and other little things keep finding their way there. Please, I'm begging you, help me figure out a good way to organize all of these little strays!!

OK, there is your challenge for the day. Comment on the blog and give me your tips for organizing buttons, trims, ribbon and strays. I'll draw a winner tomorrow evening and post it to the blog. The winner tomorrow will receive a free Glossary Add On.
I'm looking forward to your comments.....you've helped me bunches so far, we are on the last hurdle now!! My scrap space will be in tip top shape before you know it and I'll be posting new pictures to show you the before and after effect!!!

My favorite gift this year is to give a gratitude journal. I used the Moleskin kraft journal and covered it with punched circles from my scraps. I used Ali Edward's example from her book. Inside I put a quote about gratitude and the rest of the book is for them to fill with daily gratitudes. It's a gift for the whole year long.
