Weekend at the Lake

Hello Friends! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Johnathan and I traveled to Lake Lanier this past weekend to spend some time with family to celebrate Mother's Day and my Dad's Birthday. Saturday morning we went to see Mark play in the ALTA City Finals with his tennis team. Even though they didn't win, it is such an accomplishment to have made it to the finals in his first year playing!

After the tennis match, we headed back to the lake and hit the water. It was such a pretty weekend, and we all got a chance to ski!

After our boat ride, we went back to the dock and brought the dogs down to play in the water. Maya is such a good dog - she loves the water! Here she is going after the tennis ball:
And here is Cody (not as excited to be in the water!):

Saturday night we celebrated Dad's birthday with homemade chicken parmesan and a homemade chocolate cake!
I am excited to go back July 4th weekend!

{Painted Furniture} - China Cabinet

Hello friends! I hope you all are doing well on this lovely Friday afternoon! Even though the weather was terrible yesterday, it is absolutely beautiful today on the island! Not a cloud in the sky and 70 degrees - what more could you ask for?

Today I want to share with you my before and after pictures of my latest project - the china cabinet! I posted a few weeks ago about my next project, so here are the after pictures!

Here is a quick picture I snapped after I placed it in the antique shop

And now with some accessories!

I am really pleased with how it turned out. The color is painted Sedate Gray by Sherwin Williams, and the inside is painted Creamy by Sherwin Williams.

This is for sale at 1610 Antiques, so stop by and check it out if you are interested!

I am happy to share that my first piece of furniture sold! I must admit I am relieved and excited at the same time - maybe this new business venture might actually work out! So, buh bye chest and onto the next project!
