Grow Old With Me...

Hey there, everyone!  Lea here today to share another card with you!  Because my career is in the wedding industry, I am completely immersed in them right now.  Not to mention, my best friend just got married last weekend....so love is in the air in my world!!  That is why I decided to create a love themed card today.  This card would be great to give to your future spouse on the morning of your wedding, but it could also be used for an anniversary or even a celebration of friendship!  I love when you create a card, and it can be used for many purposes!

Right now there is a lot on sale at StopAndScrap.com, considering Summer CHA is right around the corner.  Definitely have to make room for all of the new product!  So, I checked out what was remaining of the Glitz Design product, pulled it out of my stash with some Prima flowers....and went to town!!  Here is what I created!
There is a ton of stuff on sale at StopAndScrap.com right now, so go check it out and see what you can't live without!  Be sure to check out all the latest pre-orders as well, so you can add a bit of new as well!!

I hope you have an awesome Thursday!

Until later,
~Lea L.

Sweet 16 and a Friend

We have 2 designers for you today.

First up is Laurel  with a pretty little package that I think would be perfect for Sweet 16 gift.  I thought that inside could be a gift card with some yummy chocolates, candy or flavored lip gloss (for the 'sweet 16' theme).   Although they are easy and my kids and their friends like getting them, I don't really like giving gift cards.  I much prefer finding the 'perfect' gift.  However, reality is that time does not always allow for shopping for the perfect gift.  This is when I would much prefer to package it up in pretty packaging, so that it does look like some thought went into the gift giving.  Anyhow let's get on with the project shall we.

I decided to use my Sugar Chic papers by Heidi Swapp and put my Cricut to work.  I used my Cricut to cut out the box, tags and roses.  Before assembling the box, I layered on a punched border and pattern paper and did some sewing.  I also used a metal die to cut out the numbers for the tag, I love the look of negative die cuts lately. Finally a couple of stamps, jewels and all tied up with some twine.

I am happy with how this turned out and I do hope the recipient will like it too.  Do you have any ideas what I could put inside with the gift card?

Now for Savannah's cute card.

Today I created a quick friendship card using some of Prima's Doodle Deux {available HERE from StopandScrap} papers. I wanted a simple design because these papers have such beautiful patterns. I fussy cut out four of the speech bubbles and then I stamped the sentiment and birdie. Then I die cut "friend" using my Cricut machine. EASY! LOVE how this turned out!

We R Memory Keepers Red, White & Blue

Hi friends and welcome to our Friday video featuring the We R Memory Keepers Red, White & Blue Collection. I had a card all planned out and then got into the packaging which is just cutting edge and so scrapbook room friendly. A lot of thought went into this and it's paying off. It's actually quite brilliant and I was totally impressed. For less than $20, you get 50 sheets of 12 x 12 card stock and over 800 pieces. WOW. After I did my haul showing you what was in this kit, I did omit fun add-ons, such as pinwheels, flags, and even star stick pins that you will definitely want to add to your collection.  These papers can be used for any occasion. Of course, there are several matching stamp sets that I never pick up for some crazy reason.

I made my fun card for you using some of the lined journaling pages so this kit is made for card makers and srapbookers, as well as any paper crafter, no matter what you do. You will love it.

At the end of the video, a short haul of Pretty Little Studio is featured that is something new to me and I have their Sand Castle Collection (and the masculine Monsieur Collection) that is so trendy right now with hexagons, gradient paper, and more. Again, this is another collection with a tremendous amount of potential as to how you choose to use it. I will be making a project next week with the Sand Castle Collection so if you order yours right now, you will have it in time for next week's project!

Be sure to check out some of my personal favs of October Afternoon and Hero Arts.

Two new vendors in the store have really caught my eye of Carta Bella and Cavallini & Co. Their designer paper, and especially Washi Tape, is a must have with some very unique and fun patterns that will compliment all of your work, if not steal the show.

Browse around the store a bit to see what you like as it's always on sale and with our super fast shipping, you will have your new big girl toys before anybody else does, and this includes the pre-orders. Use paper people can be impatient at times if we really want something - like run to the mailbox a few times a day impatient.

I would like to thank you for watching the video. I've kept it very short for you packed full of information and even a card demonstration. We love having you to stop by and visit us. Larry, Maria, and the team wish you all a great weekend!

Masculine Cards with We R Memory Keepers - Down The Boardwalk

Hi Everyone!
True here. ;)

I wanted to pop on and share a couple of masculine cards with you.
I find it a lot more difficult making cards for guys then I do for girls but this AWESOME Down The Boardwalk stack from We R Memory Keepers makes it easy!
StopAndScrap has this stack available now, as well as hundreds of other "latest and greatest" designer papers. You can also go in and pre-order designer papers that are not out yet. Great way to be one of the first to use them! :)

My cards were made for Father's Day, and I know we are past that holiday, but you can change the sentiment to "Happy Birthday" or whatever you want it to say for any other occasion. ;)

I simply paired up some neutral cardstocks with one design and used another for a little embellishment on my paper rosettes.
Quick and easy and the men in my life LOVED them!

Are you a We R Memory Keepers fan?
Check out the fun ♥2Craft stack that is available now for pre-order!

Thanks so much for dropping by!
I hope you do something crafty today! :)

Fancy Pants "Summer Soul"

Hi everyone!  It's my turn again today to share with you here on the StopandScrap.com blog!  My card today uses some of the great papers found in the Fancy Pants "Summer Soul" line.  I just love these bright colors... they make even a "rainy"-themed card a little more cheerful.

Oh Me, Oh My!

Tina here! I don't know about you, but I am always on the lookout for cute ideas to package inexpensive items. We go through lots of MiO and I've been looking for a fun way to package it to give as little pick me ups. I'm also going to set these on tables for my son's birthday party in August since we'll be having a pool party.

When I found this super cute pail cutting file in the Silhouette Online Store I thought it'd be the perfect vessel for my idea. I used paper from Echo Park's Sweet Day collection; it is so summery and gorgeous! I grabbed the striped paper to make the pail itself and used the other side for the umbrella. The umbrella was decorated using a sentiment flag.

The handles were added using some small chocolate brads. I just threw in some reusable ice cubes and added the MiO and the umbrella. Looks all beachy and festive!

We drink from mason jars here at my house, so I used a jar cutting file pieced with some more paper from Echo Park's Sweet Day collection; I then used vellum as an overlay before tying on the twine.

The sentiment on the circle panel is from Hero Arts/ Studio Calico You Are The Best set and is sort of a play on words for the MiO....I thought it was clever. ;-) The sentiments on the flags are from Verve.

Hope you've enjoyed my project today, thanks for stopping by. And, make sure you check out all the sales and deals StopandScrap is offering. You'll want to look at the clearance section as well; lots of good stuff there at super prices! Finally, there are still some goodies available for Pre-Order that you don't want to miss!

Studio Calico, You are the Best

Hello!

Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day weekend.
It's Monika here today bringing you a cheerful card. Summer is here, so I picked some bright and fun papers from Echo Park for my card. They have the cutest prints!

The darling sun image and the greetings are all from You are the Best clear stamp set from Studio Calico by Hero Arts. I just love the the circle and flag elements in this set.

I stamped the sun, cut it out, then popped it up with dimensional tape. The little cloud image was cut out of a piece of designer paper.
My tile letters were stamped individually from one of the greetings, using a marker... then were cut out and sponged around the edges. It was fun to come up with my own elements, just by using a stamp.

If you like to stamp, check out all the fun clear stamp sets StopAndScrap has in stock.

I also decorated the inside of my card. With the fun images, I was able to dress the white space up.

The stitching was done by hand. I used a paper-piercing tool and template to make the holes, then using needle and thread, I stitched the lines. It's a fun way of adding a design element to your project, even if you don't have a sewing machine.

Hopefully I was able to inspire you today to take out your stamps, and make something FUN!

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Pinwheel Flower Garden

Happy Friday everybody. This is Cindy and today I have 2 videos for you today. I had originally intended it to be just one video but when I started playing with the October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection, of course, I had to take you through all of it leaving my commentaries along the way. That collection is wild and my new absolute fav and I'm a huge October Afternoon fan.

As I write this, at 10:30 PST, and I've been up since 4 a.m., I'm hallucinating, so I'm going to let the videos upload overnight and get them here ASAP in the morning. If you miss them, you will definitely want to come back to get up close and personal with this super fun collection and get some belly laughs along the way. Just wait until you see what's inside!

In the meantime, here are some still photos of my project. Enjoy!

UPDATE - Video links now available:

Don't forget the two newest October Afternoon collections, now available for pre-order:

Handle with Care...

Hello! Monika here today with an 8x8 scrap book page or (in my case) wall hanging for my special guy. Father's Day is just a couple of days away, and I needed something sweet for Daddy. I thought this would be really nice for him to have! The matching tag will be perfect with his real present.

I used some awesome designer papers from 7gysies Postale collection and since I love using rubber stamps, I stamped up some image from Vintage Office stamp set from Cavallini & Co. (If you like Cavallini & Co, StopAndScrap has a number of different style stamp sets with matching washi tape, notebooks, and decorative stickers for Pre-order right now.)

I made the white splatters with my Studio Calico mist.

The base was just a piece of Kraft card stock. I also used some dark blue paper, Baker's Twine, mini staples... and red, blue, and tan ink pads to stamp the images.

I love distressing, so I just had to rough up and ink the edges, and do some tearing. To make it interesting, I added designer paper pieces behind the tears.

Hope I inspired you today to make something!

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

Sarah Jane is so girly

Hi everyone, Laurel here.  Cindy was not able to post a video for you today so I have am here with a project for you.   I have layout of my youngest when she was about 2 (she is now 14).  No matter what crafting medium we used (paint, stickers, glitter, etc) she always ended up with it all over her body - to her that was where it should be!  I love this photo of her as a chubby cheeked, glittery girl!  The Sarah Jane papers from Making Memories were perfect as they are so girly.  I fussy cut the dresses from some of the pattern paper and thought they made a cute little clothesline under the photo.  As the little die cut says I wish she 'just stayed little'  - well without all the temper tantrums, hehehe.  I used my Making Memories Slice to cut out the layered flowers.

Now be sure to Pre-Order your Sarah Jane papers you will love them!

Most Fabulous Friend

Hey there, everyone!!  Lea here today to share a new card with you!  My card features some fabulous paper & tag by Pink Paislee.  They make some of the cutest papers & embellishments...I just love them!!  You will find some of the older product in the Daily Deals right now at StopAndScrap.com, plus you can still get Pink Paislee's latest collection "Declaration" at the store!

This card encompasses two of my very favorite things- a pink/aqua color combo and snippets of doily here and there.  Here is what I created!
Today I thought I would share a little about my creative process, because I think that making cards should be fun and stress free!!  The first thing I do is typically grab the papers & stamps that I want to use.  Then, because I am a visual person, I just look through all my fun bits and baubles, and grab everything that I think matches the theme.  I spread them around my desk, and then just go to town grabbing them when & if I need them!  There is nothing strict and regimented about it....I just start stamping, distressing, cutting and placing things here and there.

Unless my card is super clean & simple...this is typically the process that I use.  I feel like I stay inspired because I am looking at every pretty thing that I might possibly put on my card front.  It is also a GREAT way to make sure you are using up all that fun product that you've purchased.  The one thing that I will never be accused of is being a hoarder...if I've got it in my stash- I will use it!!  So, I challenge you to do the same thing.  I promise....it will be ultra inspiring!  {Plus...it will make some room in your stash for all the new stuff coming out soon!!  Be sure to check back at StopAndScrap.com soon for that!!}

Until later,
~Lea L.

Gifts for the Swimmer

*I only photographed one set, I actually made two.

Today, I have a gift set for a few of the swimmers in my family. My parents' pool was opened up last weekend and the kids are so excited to jump in and get wet. We're hoping to make it there later today to join the cousins for some fun.

I made a couple of cute gift bags using Echo Park's Paradise Beach papers; each gift bag houses a noseplugs/ earplugs set. I decided to dress them up by punching circles in coordinating cardstock and then stamping those cute flip flops from We R Memory Keepers Down the Boardwalk stamps. They just couldn't be cuter. The sun was cut on my Cameo with the backside of the flip flop paper and then a button threaded with twine was added in the center.

Next up is the Zinc Face Cream; I again punched some circles in coordinating cardstock and then added the super cute 3-d bow using more paper from Echo Park's Paradise Beach. I cut this on my Cameo, but they are easy enough to make without a machine and the little touches like this make an inexpensive gift look more special.

Finally, I included a chapstick holder. I adore the pinwheel, it's so adorable and screams summer to me. I added a cute button threaded with some twine for the centers; I made it a little more realistic by adding the lollipop stick.

I hope you've enjoyed my project today. Have a great rest of the week!

Be sure to check out all the sales and clearance items on the StopandScrap website! You can also see what's available for pre-orders while you're there. You can get updates from us on Facebook; so be sure to like our page.

New! Graphic 45 A Ladies' Diary Collection

Welcome! It's Gloria with you today! I am very excited to share the NEW Graphic 45 A Ladies' Diary collection with you today! StopAndScrap has this collection and MORE on pre-order!

Since I am also on the Graphic 45 design team, I have already gotten my  hands on this fantastic paper! This is one of my NEW favorites in the Graphic 45 catalog! I love the soft colors paired with dark brown and black. Plus, any paper that has clocks and flowers is a hit with me!

I used the 8x8 pad for this project. The smaller scale of the prints is perfect for cards, tags, and mini albums.

I made a card with a removable book mark! Nothing says "friendship" like a pretty bookmark!

The Simple Stories Odds and Ends Memorabilia Pocket is perfect for tucking the bookmark into. You could also tuck a gift card into the pocket for an extra special gift!

I used Prima Perle Bebe Fairy Belle flowers to decorate my pocket and bookmark. So soft and pretty!

For more details and a peek at the inside of the card, visit my blog, Scraps of Life.

Olsen and a scrapbook page with Savannah O'Gwynn

Hello, friends:}

Savannah O'Gwynn here today to share an easy scrapbook page using some of my favorite papers available at StopAndScrap.com

It's not really a secret, but...I hardly make scrapbook pages. However, I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and create a page using some photos that Trav and I took of Olsen {our dog}.

I loooooooooooove this page! It's got a simple design and some of my favorite papers by Basic Grey  {PB & J available HERE from StopandScrap}. This really was an easy page to make--I might have to do more pages soon:) LOL!
I love how the chevron and polka dot papers are a bit crooked on this page (they look crooked to me!)! SOOOOOOOO fun!
Favorite! Love that pop of red:)
Journaling- We've caught you in some silly positions and with some funny faces. But daddy always gets better pics of you:) You are just too cute!

I just love the photo that Trav took--and check out this super cute photo of Olsen! How does Trav do it?? Always an awesome photo! I love how Olsen's feet are crossed! ACK! LOOOOOOOOOVE him {both Olsen and Trav!}!
