Lillyanne had her first singing concert for parents before Thanksgiving. She covered her eyes the whole time. When her class sang at their Christmas concert she was a little better. She did not sing but she didn't cover eyes. Rhiannon and Shawn sang for their school concerts too and did good. Shawn was a ham and was in the front and did all the motions and bobbed his head to the music. At the end he was the only one that took a bow.

We had a good Christmas and introduced Elf on the Shelf to the kids. We told them he would be flying to the North Pole every night to tell Santa if they have been being good or not and being nice.
Lillyanne started to cry and said she didn't want Christmas anymore.

Rhiannon choir at Mont Bleu. She is growing up WAY to fast. Being more independent. She is always mom I can do it I'm not a baby. She amazes me daily with her grown up things she says and does. She tries really hard to help out with Lillyanne but Lillyanne is such a booger she wont 't let Rhiannon help her. Especially if I am around.

Family tradition since I was a kid. Put together a puzzle on New Year's Eve. This one was really hard and took 3 hours to just do the boarder.

Kids really are doing good. School is going good. Rhiannon fell a little behind in the beginning, she has a hard time focusing but she goes to Papa' s house after school and works over there in quiet and she is doing so much better. Getting A's on her math and moved up a reading level. She is still a social butterfly and has lots of friends. She seems to make friends so easily and gets along with everyone. Her sense of humor is funny as well. We were playing a game Apples to Apples the other night and she had us laughing so hard with her reasoning.
Shawn is so stinking smart. In kindergarten they wanted us to hold him back only because of his age. He is the youngest in his class but testing above all the kids. I did not see any reason to hold him back. I'm really glad I didn't. Thankfully his teacher he has now notices his brains. He starts to act out in class because he is bored and finishes everything before everybody else. So she always has extra work for him to do and he is happy and does it. So even though he is the youngest in his class if I held him back I feel he would have been even more bored. He hates missing school because he really loves
doing math.
Lillyanne is loving school. We have no problems dropping her off. She is happy to go. She loves to pretend she is the teacher when she is at home and makes us sit down and do the things she does at school. She is acting so grown up too, she notices so much and is so aware. You can not get anything past her. She is also very stubborn and head strong. She likes to battle us over things. She is really missing swimming. She has been wearing her bathing suit around the house now for 2 days asking to go swimming. She makes me feel so cold when she is wearing it. But she says she is warm.
She says some funny things. Like our Bishop at church is also our chiropractor. At church he is Bishop and his office he is Doctor Tony. One day at church she Bishop is talking and she looks at me and says "Our Bishop looks exactly like Dr. Tony." The other day I took her shopping with me to get dinner and she kept asking for "High End Rolls". I said what are those, she says "Remember my favorite, High End Rolls" I said I still don't know. She says "Remember, at Aunt Shelly's and I wanted one and got mad and lost my shoe." Oh I said "Hawaiian Rolls."
Mike is not working. He is on disability and we are in the process of getting permanent disability. He is doing OK But we are noticing the progression of the disease. It is hard on everyone. Shawn is the most sensitive to it and gets upset easy. Rhianon is always sticking up for her dad if I get upset about something. Me I'm trying to adjust to all the changes and extra responsibility. We have been so blessed though to have all the support we have had from my parents and from our bishop and members of the church.
