The Sunday Post

Hope you are all having a super Sunday, I'm sitting here with a hot cup of tea in the sunshine, mulling over our week: new linen napkins, florals, my first hot cross bun of the year & hearts, hearts, hearts. We sold out of our first Valentine's card design, 'be my valentine' at the beginning of the week, just in time for the big day, which was wonderful.

During the week I re-jigged our frilly teacups design... see the new design above, I'm happy with the little teacups' new look and they have been really well received.

A new customer favourite in the last few weeks has been the natural linen chickens tea towel. We recently introduced this great natural linen into the range, and although quite heavy it washes wonderfully and becomes so soft and absorbent, I think we may have made the perfect tea towel!

They are available to buy here: http://charlottemacey.co.uk/linen-tea-towels.html

my protégé...

I spent the last couple of days taking a small break with my family up in Cheshire. Orders were piling in, but my sanity was waning, so I grabbed a 48 hour 'rest' to rejuvenate!
We had a wonderful time walking, eating and relaxing but the highlight of the trip for me was helping my 8 year old goddaughter get to grips with her mini pink sewing machine...

She made lavender pillows and a cute lavender heart, and I gave her a few tips on how to use the machine. The only help I really gave her was in cutting out the heart shapes for the lavender heart, the rest she was getting pretty nifty at... it looks like I have a little protégé in my midst!

hearts, hearts, hearts... and cake!

Continuing along the theme of hearts I thought it would be apt to post a picture of the monstrously-sized 'salmon-feast' that we made for Mothers Day. The beast was complete with pastry hearts, looked super-delicious, and was! We munched for hours, til we couldn't fit in another morsel. And then moved onto dessert :)
Yesterday I listed my new 'cake' card in my Folksy and Misi shops... perfect for birthday's and all cake-related occasions, each card is hand illustrated, is £2 (or £8 for 5 - technically one free!) I hope you enjoy!
