That tree grew quickly

 727 stitches today on Companions by Teresa Wentzler, mostly on the tree between Father Christmas and the horse. This piece is now 41% complete so I'm hoping to reach my first WIPGO goal of February tomorrow.

February 8th and it's in the bag

 

467 stitches and I completed the satchel at the feet of Father Christmas on Teresa Wentzler's Companions. This piece is now 37% complete.

Stitching update for 7th February - Backstitch bonanza

 I finished all the backstitch on Father Christmas. Teresa Wentzler's Companions is now 35% complete and well on the way to my February WIPGO goal of 42%. Very pleased with how much definition the backstitch added. 416 stitches towards my Stitching Tour of Europe.

WIPGO goal #18 complete

 

Companions by Teresa Wentzler is now 24% complete. My WIPGO goal was to add 20% of progress and I started this year at 2%

To day I filled in some gaps, finished his boots and the snow under him and some backstitch on Father Christmas. 

It appears going outside is bad for me...

 As I've done nothing but cough since I came home. I've had a non-Covid cough (3 negative tests) for over 10 weeks now but it's worse today than the past couple of weeks - that means I need to do an e-consult with the doctor again, and it would be good to find out if there was anything on my x-ray I had taken just before Christmas.

Today's stitching was more work on Companions by Teresa Wentzler, another 482 stitches and it's now 18% complete so only 4% short of my WIPGO goal for Square 18. I did some snow, dried grass, the darkest colour on his boots and a bit of filling in gaps on his cape. Tomorrow I plan to finish the snow and boots and work some more on his cape.

Today I managed 409 stitches on Companions by Teresa Wentzler. It's now 17% complete, three-quarters of the way to my WIPGO goal this month for square #18.

398 Stitches on Teresa Wentzler's Companion. Mostly mauve on the cape, some gold on the bottom of the cape and the backstitch around the tassle on his hat.

 

First WIPGO Weekend Success!

 My WIPGO Weekend goals were 200 stitches on my European Border Sampler which is WIPGO square #6 and 500 stitches on Companions which is WIPGO square #18

Stitching update 9th January - Wipgo Weekend on Companions

 

I worked on this one on Saturday towards my WIPGO Weekend goal of 500 stitches. I managed 361 on top of 42 the previous day so only 97 stitches to my goal. It may still be possible to hit my target.

Day 4 on Companions

Progress on Companions, day 4. After 513 stitches there is a finished tree and the beginning of Father Christmas (well his hat, cuff and cape at least) 

Still a way to go to make my WIPGO target, 13% complete.

 

Day 3 on Companions by Teresa Wentzler

 Still working towards my goal for WIPGO Square 18 (adding 20% progress to this piece).  

Today I stitched 705 stitches and made it to 9% complete (start position was 2% complete)

Two pictures, the first shows the left hand tree with all the cross stitch and fractionals complete, the second shows it after most of the backstitch was completed. My goal today is to get this tree finished and move on to Father Frost.

Doesn't look like a lot but there are 448 stitches between this picture and yesterday's. Hoping to get this left-hand tree finished tomorrow and move on to Father Frost.

 

WIPGO 2021 January

 Three numbers were called for WIPGO 2021 for January - 6, 13 and 18

This is the board that I finally composed 

And this is Companions by Teresa Wentzler as I picked it up today and when I put it away this morning. I've managed to add 5% progress today so very pleased with that. As is typical of any TW chart, there are a lot of blends and fractionals. This piece is stitched on 28ct white Jobelan.
