7 Things about me
1. When tagged, place the name and URL on your blog.
2. Post rules on your blog.
3. Write 7 non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4. Name 7 of your favorite blogs.
5. Send an email/comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged.
Okay. Here goes...
1. I hate things between my toes. I can't wear flip flops because it drives me soooo crazy. Every year I try to buy them and every year I walk away. I want to wear them, but having things between my toes bothers me too much.
2. I am obsessed with books. I buy books, I check out books, I have stacks of books to read.
3. Along the theme of books, the library lets you have 40 books checked out and 40 books on request. Both are always at the limit.
4. Even though I have a masters in teaching reading and writing, I currently don't teach reading. I teach math. I love to read, but I don't want to teach reading.
5. I love pumpkin and always have at least two cans in my pantry. I am always fretting that there might be a pumpkin shortage and I won't be able to get it.
6. I am obsessed with purple and will buy things just because they are purple. That is why I wanted the I-Pod shuffle and not a regular I-Pod. My shuffle is purple the regulars are not.
7. I have seen every episode of Charmed except the one where Prue is killed off. I even bought the season so that I could see it and they don't have it on there:(
I tag Velda, Meari, Kell, Margaret, Tammy, Megan, and ?

What's in your name?
What Deirdre Means |
![]() You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row. You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace. People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. |

What makes you celebrate: Family, friends, and the changing of the seasons. At holiday get togethers, you do best as: The host of the party On a holiday, you're the one most likely to: Spend so much energy preparing that it's a full time job |

Saturday Shopping
Our first stop was Anne Taylor Loft. I had a $15 gift certificate from bunco, a 20% teacher discount card, and a spend $50 get $25 off card from going in August. I ended up getting three pairs of pants and three sweater type tops. The pants were buy one pair and get a fall top 50% off. I saved over $125 with all of my discounts and such:) I am really excited. This is the first time I have ever been able to wear the pants from there. They look awesome! I bought the Julie style. They fit perfect! Then we went out to lunch. Neither one of us finished our lunch so we are going to have it tomorrow when we go to school to work on my classroom.
Then we went to the library and picked up some books and returned a bunch too. After that we went to Kohl's and bought undergarments and a pair of sunglasses. Across the way was the mall so DD and I went there too. I bought her a winter jacket and a pair of jeans from the Gap. I bought a sweater from there too. The Gap is the only place I can buy her jeans. They have slims with the adjustable waist. The jacket was cute and about what I usually spend on one so I bought her that too. I also got a sweater from Eddie Bauer with my 15% discount card that I had received from my mom. My last stop (besides the grocery store) was Younkers. I bought another pair of Clark's shoes. They are black and were on sale:).
Now I need to work on school crap. DH is working 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM this weekend. They are having a tailgating party at work so he is going to that. DD and I are going to have broccoli and cauliflower cheese soup for dinner.

The rules:
1. You have to post these rules before you give the facts.
2. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name.
3. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts.
4. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
My middle name is May.
M is for managment. Teaching is like running a small corporation. No management, no production:)
A is for apples. Every year, I get tons of apples from students. Good thing I love to eat them.
Y is for young at heart. Even though I get older every year, I don't feel like I am (except for the weird aches and pains).
I tag Meari because I love her blog. She is insightful and fun to read. I tag Annie because she seems like a wonderful person and very caring. I tag YOU if you are reading you need to do it:)

HURRAY!
Your Blog Should Be Purple |
![]() You're an expressive, offbeat blogger who tends to write about anything and everything. You tend to set blogging trends, and you're the most likely to write your own meme or survey. You are a bit distant though. Your blog is all about you - not what anyone else has to say. |
