Progress!!!

Hello,

My last post was used to explain you that I'm working, but quite slow, as far I know, some of us had/have problems that makes us difficult to follow the rhythm .. but I can say that I have a progress!!

As you can see I'm using the BOM from The home patch! (i receive late because I'm from spain and I receive the month parcel in the second part of the month, it means right know I'm still waiting  for June ..

But I can say that February is done.. and from March to May all stitchery is done also... then I "only" have to make the application for those months .

Then Girls.. I'm on the road!!! yeah!!

Thanks for support ..

Lots of kisses!
Ester

Sorry .. but not totally off

Dear friends,

I want to apology because I cannot sew so much since February, due to a personal problems.. that i don't want to explain so much..

It is not and excuse, .. but for me was a little bit the reality, I couldn't sew because my mind was quite blocked after to prepare the blanket stitchery for February blocks, sine then I've not sewed at all.. only a couple of weeks ago I prepared the appliqué for those blocks..

Now Stitchery of January is done,  February blocks are almost finished and I've started with the stitchery of March.

Hope soon I can take some picture to share with you my advance and I can say that I've sewed again.

I always want to tell you that I'm using the BOM from the Home patch .. and it will be the first time i will have the same fabrics as the original have also ..

So Sorry .. but definitively I want to be updated !!

See you soon
Ester

Nearly there...

Hi Ladies,

Gosh where has the month gone.. got to confess I am not sure I will finish all by Saturday.  Only got home late last week from holidays and parcel awaiting me... so have been trying to get what I can done, but had two job interviews yesterday and 5 friends from the UK are descending on us tomorrow for 2 weeks holiday so ALOT of time been spent cleaning and tidying and not enough on stitching.. but I am doing my best.

I did finish the Christmas Wish stitchery a few weeks ago... I used Cosmo 104 (reddish-pink colour).  Havent decided what I am going to make it into as yet..

Here is where I am up to with Part 1:

Two completed stitched blocks (gee just noticed my pressing is not the best!)

Appliques cut and ironed and ready to cut out and turn under tonight.  I am using the Hugs and Kisses iron on applique paper and Lynette Anderson's applique technique to do my applique.  Its the first time I have done this type of applique and I thought it would help me keep the shapes better.. so its a little more fiddling in the preparation but I hope it is worth it in the long run.

Will post more pics once I am done!

The little blocks are done

I have done the little blocks from the first month. I ended up stitching the blanket stitch with a blue thread.
Now to applique the large ones.

February Finished....and July and August

I have had a very productive afternoon and evening yesterday on my SKOW quilt.  All the small patchwork panels are completed and the long panels completed as much as I can.  I can’t put off those pesky petals any longer.

So here is what I have to show.

February’s panels are now attached and the last column is completed with its sashings.

I just need to complete the stitching block and the tree with the pesky petals and insert them in their columns, which are otherwise finished.

When I was cutting my small coloured squares I came across a zip lock bag with some small “Scraps” in it.  A couple were big enough to cut a square out of, so I did.  I now realise they were the pieces for the little patchwork panels on the stitching block….Oops.  I’ll have to cut some more.

I now feel quite confident that I will be finished on time.

My Progress so far...

It feels good to finally add another strip to my quilt...the first one had been lonely for quite some time! Lol! Now I've completed Jan/Feb blocks I am keen to see how the next one will look next to it! I have already completed a few other blocks so hoping that it will start coming together a bit quicker now.

Hard to get a good pic, but here it is on my design wall

Love the daisy! I have finished the 'Best Friends' block also which is another one I love...then there is the shoes...okay I just love them all!lol! The only one I am going to change is the cat block, which I will make into a dog

A few blocks on my sewing desk ready to go for tomorrow!

Hope to be back again soon!
