I am finished my Gardeners Journal..
Finally..LOL
After two years and lots of wonderful encouragement
it's finished and I love it so much ...
I am so thrilled...that I joined in with you all here
Many agonising moments later and many
thoughts of chucking it in and not continuing...
Then I would see a wonderful block or stitchery that someone did and
I thought "no" keep stitching away...
plus the patience of Chooky not telling me
"get out of here" or "your too slow".......THANKYOU
I am so grateful to you all!
I used Fig Tree Fabrics from a few different ranges
and love the look of it...I even changed some blocks too...
just to fit the fabric in a certain place...LOL

Now to catch up with Dec/Jan blocks of SKOW!

Wov! It's gorgeous!!! Fig tree's fabrics are one of my favorites too ;o) Seeing your finished GJ supports me to carry on... and on...
I really love this quilt of yours Dawn!! I'm even considering getting my own copy of the pattern if I can find it, lol!! I especially like how you quilted it ... that pantograph (?!) is gorgeous and works well with the pattern! So glad I got to watch you do some of it!! Hugs!!

Its beautiful and I know you are proud you finished it. I think it is a very pretty quilt and worth the effort...it is my favorite of the two we've done here.
You will soon catch up. Once you get started with the new one, it goes so smoothly. Not as much stitching (I wish there were more)but I have found I like needle turn, its the first time for me...good to learn something new. Good luck,

Fantastic. Congratulations. I only joined this SAL for Tis the Season, but was so inspired by Gardener's Journal that I, too, have started the stitching. A long way to go - but I will get there. Love your colours - hope you find that wall!! Cheers.
Your quilt turned out beautiful. I love all the colors and fabrics that you used, the embroidered blocks just pop out at you with their white/beige background. Congrats!

No matter how long it took to have a finish, what an exciting time you have had along the way and for us also to see another quilt the same but different, The Gardeners was and is a lovely quilt, love you summery colours.
I just knew we had to get you to the finish line....the group is great for motivating.....this looks gorgeous.........I love the fig tree fabrics and you should be very pleased with your quilt...........thanks for being part of the SAL and lucky I was sitting down to read this post........
