A New Hobby!

As if I really needed another hobby!  I have so many that I love to do...mostly sewing and crafting and creating whatever.  This one actually involves exercise, which I'm not so fond of.  Not because I don't think its good for me, but I never ever feel like I have enough time to take for myself to exercise...and I never see results!!!

But as a young girl, I LOVED to get on my awesome 10-speed and stroll all around Price.  It didn't matter where I went, just loved to go for a long bike ride.  So now 20 years later, I find myself with an awesome road-bike and some amazing places to ride with the most amazing road-biking women around.  I'm back to loving a good ol' bike ride, and trying to make it a reality once again.

This was a birthday ride I went on (me on the far right) with some more-experienced biking friends of mine (Melanie, Gina, Kellene, and Darcy).  We biked on top of the Colorado National Monument!  Amazing...and hard!

Marge and me!  This woman is amazing!  This was on her 72 mile bike ride, celebrating her 72nd birthday.  Yep, she did all 72 miles.  Me?  I could only join for about 20 miles of it, but it was so fun strolling over to Palisade along the Colorado River the whole way.

Easter Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa's

Our last day in Rapid City was on Easter Sunday and somehow the Easter Bunny knew we would be there and made sure to bring them a basket full of candy and toys.

Mackenzie is quite the girl.  Loves gardening and flowers, and crafts and animals...real ones!  The Easter Bunny took care of her with her gardening and craft needs.  I don't know that the real animal need will ever be filled though! :)

Collin got some Batman legos and Magnatiles and an awesome Transformer.

Happy Easter!!!

Easter Hunt in South Dakota

What do kids want to do most at Easter time?  Of course an Easter egg hunt.  And we made sure we had one even in South Dakota on a cold rainy day.

And they are off!

Visiting Mount Rushmore

Visiting Mount Rushmore was a must when going to South Dakota.  It was very impressive and did not disappoint.

Oh Give Me a Home Where the Buffalo Roam...

For Spring Break, we made the 10 hour trek to Rapid City, South Dakota where Tyson's parents are on a mission.  It was our first time there, so we took the tourist route through the Black Hills and soon realized that there are roads everywhere through those hills!

Our first stop was in Custer State Park where we saw probably near 1000 buffalo, and quite a few antelope.
