Celebrating 10 Years!

It's been a great 10 years since Tyson and I were married, July 30, 1999 at the St. George Temple. It was an awesome day! We were young, in love, and didn't have too many cares. Boy how things have changed! :) We aren't quite so young anymore, we have plenty of worries, two wonderful kids, but are still in love and enjoying this adventure through life together. I love my sweet husband and kids and am so thankful for them in my life!

It was very significant for us to be back at the St. George Temple last week with the kids, 10 years later from where it all began. I tried to take it all in, but it was a little hectic with lots of people, lots of kids, and the hot, hot weather. My kids just wanted to play in the beautiful fountain at the entrance to the temple. Yikes! Here are some pictures that I took that day.

Mr. and Mrs. Baker

July 25, 2009 was the big wedding day when Tyson's mom, Susan, and Raymond got married in the St. George Temple. We couldn't be more excited for them. They met just 6 weeks ago, ok maybe its 7 now :) and it seems they have been head-over-heels for each other ever since. Together they now have 14 children and 43 grandchildren! We are excited to welcome Raymond into the family and to get to know him better. Congratulations to both of you!!!
Waiting...and more waiting for them to come out of the temple.

and more waiting...

and Courtney, Candice, Carter, and Dallin patiently waiting...

Finally the groom comes out!

And here comes the bride with a huge smile and sparkle in her eye, looking absolutely beautiful!

The Grand Mesa

We went up on the Grand Mesa yesterday to go four-wheeler riding. Everything about it up there is GRAND...the vast forest, the miles of four-wheeler trails, the wildflowers, over 300 lakes... and over a bajillion mosquitoes! We stepped out of the car and they instantly just started swarming us. I've never seen them so thick. We loaded up on the OFF and hopped on the four-wheeler. The ride was great and the mosquitoes didn't get us as long as we kept moving. It really is so pretty up there with never-ending pine trees and aspen. We enjoyed getting out of the city and playing in the mountains again. I also enjoyed taking a million pictures (well actually 257 in a matter of about 4 hours) of my kids again. I just can't get enough pictures. I love it!!!
First stop off the 4-wheeler...perfect place to take some pictures in the wild flowers and see how obsessed Collin is about being near the water.
They thought this was a great game to lay in the grass and just giggle at each other.
My boy who loves kisses.
Last stop on the ride back. We had to let the kids play in the stream.
Collin is testing the water...brrr, a little on the cold side!
His other obsession...throwing rocks in the water. Going...going...
GONE!
'Where are some more rocks?'

Our Firecrackers

We went to Monticello for the 4th of July to be with some of Tyson's family. It was a nice getaway with a little four-wheeler riding, some good laughs, and some terrible fireworks :) . The kids still loved them though. Thanks for having us over again Julie and Cade!

Our two little fireworks...this is the best they would pose together. They were too consumed with the Capri Suns.
They loved playing on the four-wheeler trailer and in the dirt.
