As always at the first of month, we have a
brandnew challenge at Country View Challenges and this month it´s me to host the challenge. I have chosen the theme
"Pimp it up!".
I decided to alter a notebook.
Hallo zusammen und frohe Ostern!
willkommen im April, ein neuer Monat mit hoffentlich schön warmem und sonnigem Wetter.
Wie an jedem ersten des Monats haben wir eine brandneue Herausforderung bei Country View Challenges. Diesen Monat ist es an mir, das Thema zu wählen und ich habe ausgesucht: "Pimp it up!", also hübscht etwas auf!
Ich habe mich für ein Notizbuch entschieden.

I´ll guide you through the process - so grab a cup of coffee, it´s a loooong post ;-):
First I took my new stencil from AALL & CREATE #6 and applied DecoArt Crackle Paste with a palette knife on to the front, spine and back.
Ich führe euch durch den Prozess - schnappt euch eine Tasse Kaffee, es ist ein laaaaaanger Artikel:
Zuerst habe ich DecoArt Crackle Paste mit einem Malmesser durch meine neue Schablone von AAL & CREATE #6 auf die Vorder- und Rückseite und den Buchrücken aufgetragen.
After everything had dried I coated the notebook with black Gesso. When the Gesso was dry, I wiped some of it off from parts of the crackle paste to make the crackles stand out more.
Nach dem Trocknen habe ich alles mit schwarzem Gesso überstrichen. Mit Hilfe eines Feuchttuches habe ich auf den krakelierten Teilen die Farbe wieder abgewischt, damit man die Brüche schöner sieht.
I thought, I would want more texture, so I glued drywall tape randomly down and painted it with black Gesso again.
Ich wollte noch mehr Textur, also habe ich etwas von dem Gitter vom Trockenbau aufgeklebt und mit Gesso überstrichen.
Now I mixed DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Red and Ultramarine Blue to get a deep purple and covered the whole surface. When dry, I added some watered down Medium Grey Value 6 and let it run down for some contrast.
Nun habe ich DecoArt Fluid Acrylics Quinacridone Red and Ultramarine Blue zu einem satten Lila gemischt und alles angemalt. Für ein wenig Kontrast kam mit Wasser verdünntes Medium Grey Value 6 dazu, das ich nach unten fließen ließ.
I wanted to highlight the crackles, so I painted these parts with Interference Magenta.
Ich wollte die Krakellierung mehr betonen und habe Interference Magenta auf diese Teilbereiche gemalt.
Now some more color - some brown-gold Mist.
Noch etwas mehr Farbe - etwas braun-goldene Sprühfarbe.
...and Cobalt Teal Hue.

I added some rub ons in white and gold (LaBlanche).
Einige Rub-ons von LaBlanche in gold und weiß kamen dazu.
To create a even more vintage surface I spread some more shades of brown color over the top.
Um alles noch mehr auf alt zu trimmen, habe ich noch verschiedene Brauntöne auf der Oberfläche verteilt.
Now I sealed the surface with some matte varnish.
Danach habe ich die Oberfläche mit mattem Lack versiegelt.
While drying I prepared my embellishments. I glued one big Mélange Art Pebble from finnabair onto a vintage image from a package leftover from LaBlanche, .......
Während der Trockenzeit bereitete ich meine Verzierungen vor. Ich habe ein großes Mélange Art Pebble auf ein vintage Bildchen einer Verpackung von LaBlanche geklebt,......
......painted parts of an old book page with Interference Magenta, ....
bemalte eine alte Buchseite teilweise mit Interference Magenta, ...
.....and glued smaller Art Pebbles on the paper and cut all Art Pebbles out.
.......und klebte kleinere Art Pebbles auf das Papier und schnitt alle Art Pebbles aus.
Some gauze was tinted with Mists.
Ein Stück Verband wurde mit Sprühfarben eingefärbt.
This is home rusted wire (if you want to know, how I did this, you can find a tutorial
here). I wrapped it around a bottle to create a frame for my vocal point.
Das hier ist Draht, den ich rosten ließ (wenn ihr wissen möchtet, wie das geht, dann findet ihr hier eine Anleitung dazu). Ich wickelte den Draht um eine Flasche um einen Rahmen für mein Bild im Mittelpunkt zu formen.
Time to put everything together. I added some home rusted washers and the other embellishments.
Zeit, alles zusammenzusetzen. Ich habe noch ein paar rostige Unterlegscheiben dazugegeben und alles arrangiert.
To fix the wire frame I stiched holes with a pricking needle.......
Für die Befestigung des Drahtrahmens habe ich mit Hilfe einer Prickelnadel Löcher gestochen......
.....and attached with screw brads.
.....und mit Schrauben Brads befestigt.
I decided, that I wanted some more "Bling" and rubbed some gilding wax on top of the texture.
Ich fand, ein wenig mehr Glanz könnte nicht schaden und habe noch Vergolderwachs auf die Textur aufgebracht.
All embellishments I glued down with matte gel.
Aufgeklebt habe ich alles mit Matte Gel.
To bring everything more together I added some Art Stones.
Um alles mehr zusammen zu bringen habe ich noch Art Stones dazu gegeben.
I colored them with the previous used Mists and mixed them with matte gel.
Ich habe sie mit den bereits benutzten Sprühfarben eingefärbt und mit Matte Gel gemischt.
Finally I added some splatters watered down white Gesso.
Zum Schluss noch ein paar Sprinkel verdünntes weißes Gesso.
I didn´t like the white, it was too hard against the rest of the layout and so I painted them with Raw Sienna and Quinacridone Gold.
Mir gefiel das Weiß der Sprinkel nicht, es war so hart im Vergleich zum restlichen Layout. Also habe ich mit Raw Sienna und Quinacridon Gold darüber gemalt.
To protect the brads on the inside of the notebook I glued two canvas circles and stamped them with hearts from my new stamp set "Perfect Words" designed from france papillon for Illusionary Artist.
Um die Brads auf der Innenseite des Buchdeckels abzudecken habe ich mit meinem neuen Stempelset "Perfect Words", designed von france papillon für Illusionary Artist Herzchen auf zwei Leinwand Kreise gestempelt und sie dann aufgeklebt.
Now I added a title to my cover, stamped with words from the same stamp set.
Jetzt noch einen Titel, gestempelt mit Worten von dem selben Stempelset.
They were attached with Matte Medium.
Die habe ich mit Matte Medium aufgeklebt.
