Time To Celebrate

Hi and welcome to my blog. I want to show you a card that I made for a couple of challenges. As usual I am in need of birthday cards so I made a birthday card using a stamp from the Penny Black stamp set called Time To Celebrate.

I made the background using a splattered dot stencil and light blue ink. The frame is a Spellbinder die. I colored the image using alcohol markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are having a good day!

Spring Flowers

Hi and welcome to my blog! I am enjoying the Spring weather we have been having here except today is stormy. I love all the pretty trees and flowers blooming but we really have the pollen this year. I have made a Spring card using a Penny Black stamp. I just love this cute hedgehog. He looks like he is in a hurry to deliver some Spring flowers!

I stamped and colored the image using alcohol markers and some glitter markers for the flowers' centers. The image was cut out using the Gina Marie stitched circle die. I cut a butterfly using a Cheery Lynn die and added rhinestones on the body. Sequins were added to the card for interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Patterned Paper #6

Hi and welcome to my blog. As some of you know I have been digging in my stash of patterned paper scraps to find different ways to use patterned paper on my cards. Here is another fun way to use up those scraps!

I used the scraps to make birthday gifts. For the bows I cut off the ends of a Spellbinders label die.

The cute little hedgehog is a Penny Black stamp colored with alcohol markers. The saying is from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Thanks for dropping by today. I hope your day is wonderful and blessed!

Patterned Paper Series #3

Happy Valentine's Day! Welcome back to my patterned paper series. On my card today I used some punches and dies to cut hearts from patterned paper scraps.

I arranged the hearts across the card. The cute cat stamp is from Penny Black and it was colored using Tombow markers. The saying was computer generated.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Party Time

Hi and welcome to my blog! I want to show you a birthday card I made using this cute image from Penny Black's Critter Party stamp set and a new Tim Holtz die from Sizzix.

I stamped and colored the image using alcohol markers. The image was cut out using Gina Marie's Stitched Oval die and pop dotted to the card. I used clear glitter embossing powder on the circles on the patterned paper and on the cupcake and flame.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

A Fall Day

Hi and welcome to my blog. I am glad you stopped by today! I want to show you a Fall card I made using the Penny Black Snowy Park stamp. I made this stamp look like a Fall day instead of a snowy day!

I used two backgrounds that I made where I had put alcohol inks on one piece of glossy card stock and then placed the glossy side of another piece on top and pulled them apart. It made sort of an ink blot print. I stamped the trees on one of the backgrounds, cut it out and adhered it to black card stock. I then adhered the image to the other background. All of that was layered on another piece of black card stock and then adhered to the gold card base. I added a wooden leaf, cord and sequins for embellishment.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Blessed

Hi and welcome to my blog. Each month I have been trying to make several Christmas cards so that I won't be crunched when the Christmas season comes. I want to show you a Christmas card I made using a beautiful Penny Black stamp called Xmas Light. I have had this stamp for many years and I still love using it.

I stamped on kraft paper and colored with colored pencils. Colored pencils work so well on the kraft paper. After I colored I distressed the edges of the paper and crumbled it a bit. I added greenery by using a punch and the "berries" are polymer dots. I found the word, blessed, on a sheet of kraft colored stickers and added it to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed day!
