I hope you had a great weekend. We sure did! We spent a relaxing weekend at home puttering around the house. Izzy and Jason went swimming in the kiddie pool (so much easier to clean than the old one! LOL!) They did some gardening while I crafted and I even found time to go out to lunch with some girlfriends on Saturday!
So this last year I have felt my mojo slowly slipping away! Don't you hate that! But it has finally returned! Yay!!! And to celebrate I have decided to go back to my roots! No not my original hair color, I mean no one and I mean no one would want to see that!!!! No, what I have decided to do is start participating in sketch challenges again! Those were always my favorites and I couldn't live without them!!! So this weekend I was out on splitcoast and came across this week's MFT Wednesday's Stampers Club challenge which was "Christmas in July"! Can I tell you how much I looooove Christmas!!! Then I found a MFT sketch from a couple of weeks ago and I had to use it!!! So here it is!
Sketch

Card
Trust me I needed to think about snow this weekend because it was soooo hot here! I started off this card by first layering up card stock and DSP from SEI. Next I sewed, that is right sewed!!! the layers together with my sewing machine. I then added some snowflakes and ribbon to make a tree. Rick Rack on the sides creates the look of snow. I attached some ornaments cut from my cricut with bakers twine and finished off by stamping Stephanie Fizer's An Owl For All Seasons by MFT and colored it in with my copics. I did add a little bit of white ink to their heads to make it look like they had been snowed on! Ohhh the joys of Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!
Well thanks for visiting me today! I have quite a bit to share in the next couple of days so I hope to see you back! I will leave you now with a gratuitous picture of Izzy! This is her posing and hamming it up for the camera!
