{Thanks A Latte]

Hi everyone,

I recently stumbled upon Lawn Fawn stamps and fell in love with their pun-tastic stamps right away. What made this all even better, as if that were possible - I found some European retailers who carried them!! Since we moved to Sweden I've been struggling a bit trying to find new suppliers for my stamping habit since ordering from the US is quite pricey and takes a long time. Anyway - I'm super excited to share my very first Lawn Fawn card with you, featuring Thanks a Latte .

I used a perforated cutter for my cuttlebug cutting board to get the pattern into my white cardboard. Then I used the thanks die from the Hello & Thanks Label Dies by Reverse Confetti. I used yellow and peach Distress Ink for the background. I used Copic Markers to color in the coffee mugs and I used stamps from the Watercolor Basics stamp set by TCP for the speckles.

The final touches consisted of adding highlights with a white gel pen, some Stickles Glitter and clear Jewel Dew Drops.

thanks so much for stopping by!!

{Thanks a Latte} Diva Inspiration

Happy Monday everyone,

here's the result of my paper crafting morning. I recently got hooked on honeymilk black tea thanks to this asian tea place that's right by my house. It's basically black tea with sweetened condensed milk and honey and it's soo good it inspired my card today (even though it says thanks a latte but you know...close enough. :)

So let's see...I used Copic markers to color in my coffee cups, I used some stickles glitter to add some sparkle...I used a mini paperclip and jute twine for embellishments and then distressed the paper edges. Pop-up dots added some dimension to the layers and some stamped coffee rings added the final touch (given they were a bit of an afterthought it was a bit tricky to get them to stamp properly. I had to do some masking for it to work). The paper I used is from October Afternoon Roadmap.
The stamps I used were all from Verve's set Better With You

thanks so much for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!!!

{Say it with Flowers} Viva La Verve

Hi everyone,

it's time for a little viva la vida loca...oh no wait...I meant to say Viva La Verve lol. I can't help but start singin' that song whenever I think of Viva La Verve. It makes me want to break out the margaritas and have some guacamole and attempt some salsa dancing. lol
aaahhh but that's not what this is all about...at least not right now ;).
We have a new sketch challenge for you this week brought to you by the fabulous Amy Sheffer....and she is challenging us to tilt some panels, add some cute embellies but mainly do some tilting with this sketch right here:

Are you up for the challenge??
You'll notice that I tilted some panels the wrong way and I did some more tilting than really is in the sketch bbbuutt I like to be a little rebel every once in a while soo there you go. :)

So let's talk Stamps and Details:
The stamps I used are from the Verve set Love's Flower. I colored the flower with Copic Markers and then applied Frosted Lace Stickles Glitter to the petals to give it that silver look. As a final touch I put a black rhinestone in the middle of the flower.
Then do you see the cute postage stamps? I cut them out using our Stamp Trip CutUps die from the Cat's Pajamas, used the mask that comes with it to ink the inside grey and then I stamped some more flowers also from Verve's Love's Flower and colored them in with a white gel ink pen.
For the little pocket behind that I used the Library Pocket Die from Papertrey Ink, cut a piece of white CS, rounded the corners, distressed the edges and added a button as a last touch. Ouh and the sentiment was a little plain jane I got as thank you for one of my orders. Isn't Julee just the bestest?! :)

okay that about wraps it up for me today.
I hope you have a great weekend!!!
-til next time :)

{Thanks with Flair} Viva La Verve Wk1

Hi guys,

I'm very excited to be able to say that I'm all caught up with my Viva La Verve challenges this month. YAY!!! And even better...I got to dust off a few stamps that haven't seen an ink pad for quite some time...uhm uhm.

Yeah anyway...here is what I came up with using this fabulous sketch and fabulous bathroom as inspiration.

For my card here I used the Small Circles set by Waltzing Mouse, a darling company based in Ireland I think. Claire has the best images to go with your Nesties IMHO. Oh and then the cute Thanks is from the My Favorite Things set Thanks a Bunch. :)

I also felt the sudden urge to add some glitter so I traced some of the flourishes in the stamp with my Stickles Glitter and I added some sparkles to the flower as well.
thanks so much for stopping by!

{Vintage Blossom} SFYTT

It's Saturday already...again...my where does the time go?! Before you know it we'll be making christmas cards. lol

But while we still can - let's enjoy some spring colors. :)

Saturday also means it's time for Jen to bring us another great sketch over at Sketch For You To Try!!!

And what a perfect timing: I just got my order of oval Nesties!! Yay!!

My card here is my twisty interpretation of shabby chic.
Everything on this card is just a little off -
the sentiment and the flap on my oval nestie (the flap was inspired by the fabulous Joanne btw) are both a bit tilted, the stitching is just a bit crooked here and there and the jute twine has a little wave to it.
I also added some rhinestone flourishes and made my own 3D flower embellishment out of two stamped flowers, a button and some jute twine.

My stamped sentiment and the flower are both from my two all-time favorite Verve sets: Beautiful You and Wishful Elegance. The patterned papers I used are all from the Fly a Kite collection by October Afternoon.

{Honey Pot of Thanks} Mojo135

So this week I'm doing my Mojo Monday on a Wednesday, I hope that didn't throw you all of.

For this card I was still very inspired by Amy's TCP Tuesday challenge, which was all about getting corked this week and I was inspired by Susan's coloring. I loved it so much I just had to give it a try myself.

I needed a male funky fresh card for the rector of my church because I really just wanted to thank him for all he does for us. You see the rectors and priests in my church don't get paid and I think we as members sometimes forget that.

So this is what I came up with and can I tell you that I just love love love how my card turned out?! This sketch is purely awesome!! What a keeper!! And I'm also really lovin' this color combo! I'll definitely be doing more yellow, kraft and black cards in the future.

Let's get to some of the deets, shall we:
I really only used one DP for this and that's the yellow Bitty Box Basics paper by PaperTrey Ink. The "Thanks" pattern on the Kraft CS was stamped using my TCP stamp and then there is the piece of Cork.

My image is the cutie petutie bear PJ from the Cat's Pajamas' set a Beary Good Year. One of my all-time favorite sets because you can make cards all year round, for all occasions, with just this one single set! If you haven't seen it- seriously you have to check it out!

Tips 'n' Tricks: why not layer different ribbons? Here I put a smaller striped ribbon on top of a wide Twill Tape Band. It's a fun way to add texture to your card.

Thank you so very much for coming by! I hope you have a great rest of the week!

{Tutu Much} SFYTT & another TCP PREVIEW

Yay - Spring is officially here and how can you have Spring without a good ole' fashioned Spring Cleaning?!
I added my own twist to the word this year - did 'ya notice?

I gave my Blog a good ole' Spring Make-over... and I didn't completely botch it all up! Yippee!! No all-nighter for me tonight, trying to fix everything. lol
I also survived my first week of classes - and not just survived I actually had FUN!!!
Now if I can just get all my homework done lol.

Let's talk cards for a moment shall we? That's so much more fun than homework. This here is my card for this week's SFYTT challenge , featuring the newest member of the Cat's Pajama's family.

Mark your calendars: this cute little bunny and four other sets by the Cat's Pajamas will be available April 13th!!
Join us also on that same day for a fun TCP Tuesday Blog Hop, celebrating the new releases! It's going to be fun I just know it!! :)

I feel like I've been making a bunch of boy cards lately so I wanted to go girly for today. :)
The papers I used are from the Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck Earth Love. At first I wasn't all so sure about this paper but now that I've used it I can't seem to get enough of it. lol

Something new and fun I tried on this card is use thin Twill Tape for the bow and layer it on top of a really wide Twill Tape band. I really love how that came out!

Thank you so much for hopping over here and please don't stop before you visit my other fabulously talented SFYTT Sisters and see what they've come up with for this sketch:

Would you like to become our next Guest Designer and play with us? All you have to do is make a fabulous card, post it on Jen's Blog and wait for Jen to pick you. :)

Have an AWESOME weekend!! I better get back to that homework - oy vey!

Viva La Verve - Whimsy Thanks

It's Friday which really means it's Viva La Verve Time!! This week's sketch is just amazing but then...they are always amazing so.

Here is the photograph I used for my inspiration. Since my entry last week was very simple, clean and classy I had to switch it up a bit and add a bit of whimsy to my card today.

The Flourishes from the Inkadinkado set Sketchy Flouris
hes were a lucky find at Target yesterday. Love those!!
The Pattern on the smaller panels is from the Verve set Bountiful Backgrounds, one of my favorite sets of all times!! You can use it for anything!

The Sentiment is from the Verve set Beautiful
You, which has amazing inspirational sayings and I really wanted it to stand out a bit more so I stamped it first in Always Artichoke and then stamped it again, over the Always Artichoke in Basic Black. That gives it this nice shadow effect.

Add some sparkly rhinestones, color in some of the flourishes, add a few stitches and you're done.

Thanks for stopping by!
