FS144-Chrisations.Ink

I did another SCS challenge! Yeah! I have been a scrapbooking FOOL this weekend and today made sure to make some time for a card!
I case'd THIS card by Christine. for today's Featured Stamper challenge. I loved the torn edge and had this idea using Crazy for Daisies instantly! Crazy for Daisies was last months KOM incentive kit by Unity. It's not currently available but will be released for sale soon! If you love this one, you should see the November KOM and incentive kit (free when you sign up for the KOM!)
The card base is Rustic White by PTI. I cut a small piece the embossed dots green cardstock (Bazzill) and glued it on top. Then I stamped the daisies on Rustic White and glued that and the Raspberry Fizz bittydots paper down. The ribbon is Ripe Avacado by PTI. To finish this card off I added a Raspberry Fizz and two Rustic Wood buttons by PTI.
So I've done FIVE double page layouts this weekend! Christy came over yesterday and made her Thanksgiving cards and I've been working on a friend's baby book! Only 4 more 2-page layouts till I'm done, yeah! I have tomorrow off of work so I plan on *hopefully* finishing that baby book! As I mentioned a few days ago, I got a Cricut Expressions for my bday *my honey is so thoughtful!* and yesterday I bought the SCAL V2.0 program and O.M.G. I am having so much fun downloading fonts/dingbats/svg files/ you name it! I can't seem to do anything with all the stuff I'm cutting yet, but I'm having fun, lol! If you have a Cricut and don't have SCAL, I HIGHLY recommend it, it's awesome! You dont' really need any more cartridges!
Okay, I'm watching a movie with my sweetie so I'll see ya tomorrow:) Have a great Sunday!

Fall is in the air...

Well, not really, at least here, lol! It's still hotter than, well you know.
I did get in the fall mood today though because the Monday Challenge Chicks' theme today is Thanksgiving/Fall cards! I have always been an earth-tone girl so I think that's why I love this season for making cards, lol! Right in my comfort zone! For my card, I used the pumpkin and sentiment from the September 2009 KOM "Go ahead, Wish" by Unity!
Isn't that pumpkin ADORABLE? I love it! I was really in the coloring mood this weekend so I colored a bunch of images with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol! I had so much fun, and it's rare that I find coloring fun, I'm just too lazy! I'm going to try to make more time for it though, it's really relaxing and some sort of good therapy or something:)
The paper I used is Apple Cider by SU! It's retired now, from last years mini I think.
Wanna see what the other chics have for you today?
AJ, Brookie, Jeanne, Jimmi, & Maren.

I did get another card done today (We didn't have to work today, yeah!) It's for yesterday's Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoast! Tankgrl has a really fab gallery and I decided to case THIS one. Isn't it beeeeUtiful?

Here's my card using Call Me by MFT. I love how she's slung over her chair chattin' on the phone, so cute:) I colored the image in with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The paper is by PTI (Autumn Abundance).

Well that's it for me today, I'm going to chillax here next to hubby for the night, maybe read some more of my book. I'm so hooked on th JD Robb "In Death" series. I've been reading it off and on for a couple years and she just keeps coming out with more books! Eve Dalls is my hero:)

Have a great Monday, see ya tomorrow!

Folk Art Lovin!

Today, Kelly aka Schirmcat on SCS, was the Featured Stamper! Her gallery is awesome and I had fun browsing:) As soon as I saw THIS beauty, I knew it was the card I wanted to case! I automatically thought of all the fun folksy stamps in the July KOM, A Pocket Full of... by Unity.
The card base is Chocolate Chip and then I layered a piece of Rustic Cream by PTI. The fun gingham paper is from a kit by Sweet Shoppe Designs. I can't remember right now which one it was, but I'll link it up once I find it, lol! I scraped it up with my Heidi Swapp edge distressor and then stuck it down. The main stamped image and the "Love" sentiment are from the July KOM by Unity. I also HAD to add that yummalicious ribbon by Making Memories! Isn't it so gorgeous? Love that ribbon, MUST GET MORE!
Well folks, it's Sunday night here, that means tomorrow is Monday *ugh.* It's okay though, I am going to be SO busy at work so the day should ZOOOOOM by!
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend! See ya tomorrow with something *I don't know what, but something, lol!*

Fun stuff!

Hiya peeps! Long time no blog, I know! SO busy at work this week, good thing it's almost Thursday for me! I have a couple cards to share with you today. The first one is for this weeks Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast. Holy cow, Sandra (B-Gin-R on SCS) has one SERIOUSLY fabulous gallery, I had the hardest time choosing a card to CASE so I just said "Okay, 5th page, 3rd card on the 2nd row, that's the card I'm gonna CASE" LOL! You know it's bad when it comes to that, ha!

I "decided" to CASE THIS beautiful card, here's my version (not nearly as pretty but it'll do!)
The stamped image is by Rachelle Anne Miller, it's called "Giving Shelter" and I think it's just about the cutest thing EVAH! The sentiment is from PTI from a set called Mixed Messages (the original, not mega!) I stamped it on a little tag I cut out with my cuttlebug! The image is colored with Copics! Get your Copics HERE!!! Eclectic Paperie also has all the new Pale colors in! While other online stores are already sold out, EPaperie still has some and they're a super good price! Get them while you can, these puppies are going like hot cakes! I can't wait to get mine:)
I used Razzleberry Lemonade dp (by SU!), Melon Mambo cs (SU!) and Sweet Blush cardstock and ribbon (PTI).
Next card is one I made for the Stamping Bella challenge last week, to make a SUMMER card! No problem there, I pulled out my sweet Poppy Bittybloom and went to town!
I colored her in with red Copics and then painted some Shimmerz on the actual flower for a little, well, shimmer!:)
The paper is by Cosmo Cricket, it's the Everafter collection, LOVE. THIS. STUFF. I could use it on every card I make!
The sentiment is by Unity from a set called "Beach Days and Sun Rays".

Well, that's all I have for today, it's getting to be my bed time:)
Have a great hump day! See ya tomorrow for some HIP HOP FUN!!!!!!!

It's LAUNDRY DAY!!!!!!!

At least that's what it looks like with these two cards I made today, lol!
I am LOVING this clothesline stamp and coordinating sentiment in the June 09 KOM by Unity!
I had a perfect opportunity to use it today too. TWICE!
First off, my good ole buddy ole pal Christy S. is this weeks Featured Stamper on SCS! IT'S TRUE! I'm friends with a real live celebrity:D No one deserves the spotlight like this girl, she's such a doll and I am SO LUCKY to know her and live just down the road from her:) I {heart} you, Christy!!!!!!!!!!!! I had so much fun going through her fantastic gallery and choosing a card to case. I had a HARD time, but finally closed my eyes, twirled around in circles to make myself dizzy, and then pointed and happened upon THIS beauty!
So here's my card, in honor of my one of my bff's, Christy!

The paper I used is from the Delicate Dots dp from the Spring Mini I believe...Love the colors in this paper pack!
I also used some blue ribbon and some green buttons (buttons by PTI).
Congratulations to you Christy, my friend!!!!!!!!
I made another card with this stamp because it's so dang cute:) I challenged myself to make a one layer card, because if you follow my blog at all, you know I like my layers! And embellishments!
I literally got a stomach ache walking away from this card, I felt like it needed more layers and bling and SOMETHING ELSE! But I like it this way too so I left it alone:) That stamp and sentiment really speak for themselves. Okay, well my love and I are watching the second National Treasure movie (I'm reading "Angels and Demons", after watching and LOVING the movie, so I'm really into these treasure hunt type movies, and yes I realize that Angels and Demons isn't a treasure hunt movie, but it has the same feel for me, ha!) I'm also hopped up on cold medicine so I'm probably not making any sense anymore anyways:)
Have a great Sunday friends, don't forget to check out the Featured Stamper challenge and find a card to case!!!!!!!!!!

Some *late* Challenge Cards!

Well I have been a really horrible stamper this week! I haven't got alot done and that makes me sad:( I think by the time I get off work I just feel like vegging out, kwim? My creative muse has not been with me this week! BUT, my dear sweet hubby swept me off to an overnight stay at Okuma (the little *vacation* resort on the island for military families) and we had a BLAST! We checked in to Okuma and then drove up north another 30 km and visited Hedo Point which is Okuma's norther most tip. The views were AWESOME!I have more pics and I'll post them later. I haven't edited them yet and I'm to lazy to do it right now, lol! We had an amazing little room, with the Pacific Ocean right out the window, had a great dinner and conversation, had some drinks, then played mini golf (where I lost BIG time!) and then went through a maze and didn't get lost! So yeah, we had fun:) Then when we got home today my creative muse started coming back so I decided to look into some challenges I hadn't gotten done yet and settled on this weeks Color Combo and today's Featured Stamper!
First up is my Color Combo card!
The colors for CC205 are Perfect Plum, Pink Pirhouette, and Kiwi Kiss. LOVELY color combo, I had lots of fun with this one:) The stamp set I used is called Upsey Daisey, another one of my all-time fave SU! sets:) Can you see the fabulous corderouy brads? OMG these things are AMAZING! I'm putting in another order today just so I can buy more:D They are so fun! I also punched some vellum butterflies with my MS punch, I love vellum butterflies, they're so dainty:)

Okay, next card is for today's Featured Stamper challenge! The Featured Stamper this week is JulieMLacey! Her gallery is so phenomenal, I had a hard time picking a card out of all the beauty that is her gallery, but I decided to CASE {this} one! I loved the layout and the buttons:) Okay, so here's my card:
The colors I used are Basic Black and Whisper White by SU! and Summer Sunrise and Raspberry Fizz by PTI! The stamp set I used is another new one called Garden Greetings, LOVE this set:) The buttons are by Basic Gray and I'm not sure who makes that ribbon. I also cuttlebugged my RF layer, the flowers are kinda similar:)

Well there you have it! That's all for right now, if we don't watch a movie tonite (I bought "The Rocker" with "Dwight" from the office, I love that show and love Dwight to PIECES!) I may stamp some more:)

Ya'll have a fantastic Sunday!

WHALE of a time!

I have some fun Whale Watching pictures to share today! Billy and I (see, that's us! And my crutch, lol! Can't get away from that thang!) went on a tour today to see the Humpback Whales! Every year between like January and March the Humpback Whales migrate down to the East China Sea right off the coast of Okinawa for mating season. So our services squadron provides tours! They load us all up in a bus and drive us down to the pier and then we hop on a boat and go whaling! Okay, we don't really go "whaling" cause I'm pretty sure that's illegal but we did get to see some whales! My good ole' buddy ole' pal Christy and her man Lee came too, it was fun hanging out with them:) I took about 70 pictures (and you'll thank me for not posting them all, they pretty much all look the same, lol!). The only sad part of the trip was Christy getting sea sick:( Poor girl got sick before we even got to see the first whale so she was holed up in the cabin of the boat trying to regain her composure. Liz, if your out there, I just couldn't take a picture of her throwing up:( I'm a stinker but dang I couldn't bring myself to shove my camera in her face as she was getting sick, lol! I would have if she looked like she was having fun, but I think I saw daggers in her eyes when I came around the corner, even though my camera wasn't pointing at her! BUT I did get this one, and it's as close as I could get! Poor Christy, I'm sorry you didn't have fun:(
Here's a cute picture of Christy and I, BEFORE her trip took a downhill slide...
Wanna see some pictures of the whales? I didn't get any super ones, but the whales weren't in a particularly playful mood, no jumping around and doing flips, durnit.
In this picture, you can see the back of the whale, and his blowhole! That's the easiest way I found to see the whales out in the ocean, just look for the blowspouts:)
Here's another picture of the whale. Not a particularly great shot, but it's hard to catch them at just the right moment.

This is a cool shot I got of the whale's tail as he was goin back under, sweet huh?
And here's another picture of my sweet man, for good measure:)
It was a fun trip, I only wish Christy could have enjoyed it more! Maybe next year, huh Christy?;)

Okay, if your still with me after all those pictures, I have a card to post as well, lol! I made this one for today's Featured Stamper challenge, BevR has one gorgeous gallery! THIS is the card I case'd and here's my card:

I love Bev's coloring and couldn't DREAM of CASE'ing that, lol! This sweet image and sentiment are both by Whiff of Joy.

Okay, I'm gonna get back to my movie (we're watching Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Thanks Christy;) My sweet hubby is trying to nurse me back to health, I started getting a cold yesterday and I'm feelin like crap tonite! Okay, ya'll have a terriffic day:)

My first wedding cake!

Okay, so it's in the form of a card, but I LOVED decorating this cake baby! It's for Saturday's Inpsiration Challenge on SCS! As soon as I saw THIS cake I had this idea for my card. I've tried one before and didn't like how it came out, but I *LOVE* how this one came out!
To creat the cake layers, I just cut strips of cardstock and then rounded the top corners and glued them all down. THEN came the FUN part of decorating it! Doesn't that look like actual fondent? I love this cake, seriously. I know pride is one of the seven deadly sins, but I can't help myself:) I used Grateful Elegance and Fairy Tales by Verve to help pretty this card up. I stamped the flowers on vellum and cut them out and then glued them down. The sentiment is stamped on vellum and then layered on a piece of Ocean Tides cs for a toned down color. I think this Ocean Tides color (by PTI) is one of my FAVORITE colors in the WORLD! I can't help it:)
Okay, next up is my card for today's Featured Stamper challenge. Julie HRR is the Featured Stamper this week and, as you well know, has a fantastic gallery! {THIS} is the card I chose to case!
I pulled out another trusty favorite by Verve called Thankful Blossoms. The sentiments and fonts used in this set are so classy, I love them:) I got the color combo from the Verve Diva's, they were talking about this color combo and I was inspired to create with them also:) Kraft, Riding Hood Red, and Blush Blossom! And you know I had to add some blingy dew drops;)
Well that's it from me today! If you're paying attention to the countdown, it's 4 days! Not including today:) WOOOHOOO! He just called me from his first stop and will be there until tomorrow and then he's onto his second leg. I. Can't. Wait!
Have a great Sunday:)

Featured Stamper Sunday!

I love Featured Stamper Sunday! It's been awhile since I've been around to play in one! Cards_By_America is the featured stamper this week and she has a super fun gallery:) I cased THIS card of hers. I loved all the white space, but when I was finished with mine, I didn't have much, lol! Here's my card:
I wanted to play with my new Verve set "Snow Wonderful" and the layout I chose to case was a perfect fit! I love snowmen because they aren't too hard to color, lol! All I had to do was color his hat and add some fun flock onto the brim of the hat. The Baja Breeze polka dot base is from the print pack of Baja Breeze and the snowflake panel is stamped with the snowflake background stamp from the Snow Wonderful set. Pretty self explanatory:)

My next card is for Jen Del Muro's Sketch For You to Try this week! As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use this stamp by Unity! I hadn't inked it up yet and thought this was the perfect sketch for it:)
I colored the row of houses, called Neighborhood of Simplicity, with Copics and then covered all the trees with Gold Ice Stickles because I can't seem to make a card with no BLING! The paper is from SU! and is called Holiday Treasures. I love this paper and will miss it dearly when the Holiday Mini is over! The sentiment is from the September KOM.
So right now I'm in the middle of uploading my rediculous collection of CD's onto my iPod! I am SO happy I bought the full size iPod finally! I've owned the Shuffle and Nano but this Classic iPod is a dream! Mom and Dad bought me the iHome for Christmas and I have it at work, it's so nice to just pop the iPod in and let it go! Okay, I'm done selling you on the iPod, bwahahaha! If only I got paid to do it:)
Have a terriffic SUNDAY!

Welcome to my NEW home!

Well, I've decided that I need to spruce my blog up, make it more ME! I contacted Veronica at VKdesignco for some help and she just took my vision and RAN with it! Do you love it as much as I do? If you feel like you may want your blog spruced up a little, I HIGHLY recommend Veronica! She pimped pretty much a vast majority of the Unity DT's blogs and I am SO happy with how it turned out.

The decision to spruce my blog up meant that I needed to move BACK to Blogger! No problem for me, I don't mind not having to pay for the blogging service, lol! Blogger has made many great upgrades since I've been over at Typepad so I've been thinking of moving back anyways. If you were a subscriber of my Typepad blog, I hope you'll stick with me! Just enter your email under my picture on the left to keep recieving updates:) My blog address is the same, it's just .blogspot.com instead of .typepad.com :)

I do have a card to share today! It's for today's Featured Stamper challenge! Sunday's are one of my favorite SCS challenge days. You get to see galleries you never would have found had it NOT been for this challenge! Today's featured stamper is Shannon, aka "E3stamper"! Her gallery is full of fun cards! Click {HERE} to see the card of Shannon's that I cased! Here is my Eco Chic card!

The stamp set I used is called "Eco Chic" by Unity. I saw that tree stamp and fell in LOVE with this set! I used a Kraft base in 4.25x4.25 and then a square of chocolate chip cardstock run through the cuttlebug. I then added a piece of Kiwi Kiss dp and sewed it all down. The ribbon is by Martha Stewart and both punches are by SU!. I also added some Star Dust Stickles to the leaves (you know I couldn't have a card with NO sparkle!)

So what do you have planned for Sunday? Stamping? Church? Relaxing? Whatever it is you choose to do, I hope you have a fantastic day!

Oh, Luke says "Sup, blog peeps"
