It's a Comfy, Cozy TGF Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!

November is here and we are bringing you a cozy "Release Day" Blog Hop today with The Greeting Farm!

Today I used the ever so adorable I {heart} Sweater sets! You may remember me using sweet Ian from the set a couple days ago, so this time I used Anya!
I finally broke into my Mitten Weather paper by Cosmo, it's so beautiful! I also used some satin Vanilla ribbon by SU! I used my bow easy for the fun bow:)

SFYTT-Winter Wonderland

I TOLD ya'll it was going to busy on the blog this week, lol! Did you buy your new Verve yet? The holiday release happened last night and is a really good one! Go shopping HERE!

Right now I'm bringing you my sample for this week's SFYTT! As always, this sketch is a winner;)
I love my layers and this sketch is perfect for them!
I had to make my card a large square in order to make my main image work. I just LOVE this Penny Black image by Stampavie! Isn't it adorable? It's called Snowy and Rudolph and it's just the FUNNEST stamp to color! I colored it with Copics to match the dp by PTI. Then I cut the image out with my new Spellbinders Labels 16, isn't that a fantastic shape? I really love it! The sentiment is from a new release by Verve called Glad Tidings. I really adore the fonts in this set!

Saturday Sketchin' with a Sneak Peek!

Hi there! Can you stand more TGF cuteness today? I gotta tell you after all the releases this week, I am DROWNING in cuteness;)
Today we have our Saturday Sketch over on Club Anya & Friends and we're using a sweet new stamp set, I Heart Sweaters, it's soooo cute and cozy!

And here's my card using the Ian in the I Heart Sweaters set...
I think Ian is pretty fabulous, don't you? I colored him in warm colors to match the dp by MME. I'm still on my country colors kick, lol! It works on this card though. The cream ribbon and buttons are from PTI.

Well the Farmers are playing with us today so you have lots of hoppin' to do!

Verve Sneak Peeks, Day 5 ~ Special Announcement

Okay, by now, you've been wondering what news we've been keeping secret! Well the cat is out of the bag! Verve is now offering DIES!!!! We've only got one right now, but I bet Julee doesn't keep us waiting long for more;) 
Today, the Diva's are showcasing ways to use the amazing Sweet Scallop Tag die! 
I created a snowflake ornament for my Christmas tree using the tag die and wrote up a quick tutorial if you'd like to try one for yourself!

Here are the photos explaining how I created this ornament. If you've never made an accordion flower, all you do is take a 12"x1.5" strip of cardstock/dp and trim the top with a scalloped edge punch. Score between the scallops and then make mountain/valley folds. Secure the ends together with score-tape or other strong adhesive and then kind of flatten it out so it fans out. I stamped a sentiment from Holiday Phrases and created a little banner flag for my ornament.

I hope you try one of these ornaments! It was so fun to create and really didn't take that long at all. In fact, once I got started I couldn't stop *this is actually my curse in everything I create, lol!*
I thought after looking at my finished product, it could use something dangly!
I cut three snowflakes with my Martha Stewart punch and then hung them off my ornament. I really love how this ornament turned out and can't wait to hang it on my tree:)

Farm Fresh Friday with CHEEKY CHRISTMAS!!!

Greetings, Farm Friends!

We hope you've enjoyed our preview week so far, with the adorable Beanie Anya just waiting to be released along with those CUTE new Critters you met yesterday!

Today we have a VERY Cheeky FFF and Color Challenge...a surprise that's been hard to keep to ourselves!  

INTRODUCING:  CHEEKY XMAS!

This sassy Santa will be available for purchase, along with the other releases so far, on November 1st at The Greeting Farm and we are THRILLED to add her to our TGF collection of Cheeky releases!  Santa, baby, this one's for you!

Today for Farm Fresh Friday, we have a color challenge

Don't you love these non=traditional Christmas colors? I think they're gorgeous and totally cheeky! Speaking of cheeky, what do you think of our new Cheeky lady?
Isn't she gorgeous??? She just screams "naughty list" don't you think? LOL! Love her:)
I decided to go clear today! I was trying to make a clear card the other day that wasn't cooperating so I had this clear card base sitting on my desk for the past few days. Well when I started gathering supplies for this card, I thought these colors would be stunning on a clear base, and I think I was right! I love it! I colored Cheeky Xmas with my Copics and the colors I used are Kraft, Sweet Blush, and Aqua Mist, all by PTI. I embossed the pink panel with my seeing dots folder and since the sentiment is about being sparkly, I added a ton of sparkle to the card, lol! Starting with the Zva flourishes, then I added pink glitter to her hat and outfit, next I glued some Polar White Flower Soft on the fluffy parts of her costume. I really wanted to use fun flock or Fluffy Sparkles but I didn't have any in white. This works though, I love it!

Verve Sneak Peeks, Day 4 ~ Glad Tidings

Are you ready for day FOUR of the Verve Holiday Release count down? Today's set is going to make you SO happy!
Today, we're introducing you to Glad Tidings, a beautiful set of snowflakes, sentiments, and a fun tag!
I created this card on the fly today, after seeing THIS card by Debbie Olson on her blog today! As soon as I saw the shape and colors I wanted to make one of my own, lol!
I made the card base with my Labels  Nestabilities. For the background paper, I stamped the large snowflake from Glad Tidings in Versamark randomly on the Blueberry Sky cardstock and embossed them in white ep. Then I stamped the smaller snowflake in Cherry Cobbler ink randomly, over some of the white snowflakes. When I was done stamping, I went over the cardstock with tissue to get the red ink off the embossed snowflakes. Now it looks like some of the snowflakes are in the background, cool! I love this technique (emboss resist) but hardly ever do it. I think I'm too lazy, lol!
Next I stamped the tag from Glad Tidings in Summer Sky (Memento) ink and stamped the sentiment (oh mylanta, I love this FONT!!!) The snowflake in the tag is a part of the tag stamp, isn't it PRETTY? I glitzed it up with some Gold Ice Stickles and a rhinestone. I also added some rhinestones to the white snowflakes on the background cardstock. I finished this card off with some Blueberry Sky satin ribbon and a Pure Poppy button and some floss! Super fun card, I loooove shaped cards!

What's this, you ask? Well it's another project!
When you're really inspired by a stamp set, it helps with your creativity, and this WHOLE RELEASE inspires me! It makes me think of Country Christmases, sparkly snowflakes, gift-giving, etc...
We are in the middle of a typhoon today (a huge one, category 4!!!) so we didn't have to work. W000t!!!!! I was in my craft room ALL DANG DAY! It was GREAT! I love playing hookey from work, lol!
Okay, sorry, I digress!
I stamped the Sweet Scallop Tag Plain Jane onto some Rustic White cardstock and cut the tags out. Then I stamped the wreath image and colored the holly and berries with my Copics and added the "To, From" stamp from the same set. I glued the circle image onto the tag and that's it! Just added some twine to the tag hole and I have a few matching tags:) They're pretty simple, but I sometimes like simple, lol!

 I added a tag, some ribbon, and a glittered-up clothes pin to a small kraft sack so you can see how it would look. I love these home-y, country colors. These are my colors this year!

Verve Sneak Peeks, Day 3 ~ Merry Wishes and Sweet Scallop Tag

Good morning! We're on day three of our October Holiday Release sneak peeks and today the divas are going to BLOW YOU AWAY! Today we're sneaking two fun stamp sets, Merry Wishes and the super fun Sweet Scallop Tag. I have both on this card!


The paper is from My Minds Eye, I really love the patterns in this paper pack, especially this plaid piece, it's so warm and cozy, PERFECT for the stamps in Merry Wishes! The Sentiments and the snowflake stamp are from Merry Wishes and the tag stamp is the Sweet Scallop Stamp! There is some exciting news about that on Friday so stay tuned to the Verve Blog, I promise you want to be there!
I tied a fun fluffy multi-loop bow on this card because I love them, hee!

Introducing...BEANIE ANYA!!!

I introduce you to *drumroll...* Beanie Anya! Isn't she perfectly SWEET??? I gotta tell you, I would LOVE to have some beanie hat wearin' weather here in Oki but that ain't happening anytime soon! At least we have a typhoon coming, that cooled it down a bit:)
Oh yeah, we were talkin' about a NEW RELEASE sneak peek! This is Beanie Anya and she will be available for purchase on November 1st! I used more MME "Colorful Christmas" paper on this card, it's too gorgeous to not use up! Love the fun, whimsy of the patterns. I even dressed this piece up by adding Stickles to the trees!
Here you can see the sparkle a little bit, and get a close up of that sweet Anya face! I just adore her, so cute.
The sentiment is from Winter Mittens by Verve. 
Remember, Beanie Anya will be available on Monday, November 1st!
