In My Garden

 Simon Says Stamp "Summer Flowers"

The stamp I used is a Simon Says Stamp called Summer Flowers.  I stamped and gold embossed the images onto Bristol Smooth paper and colored them with Zig Markers.  It was nice that I actually have these flowers in my garden, particularly the bird of paradise, as it helped me with my color choices.

Then I used my ScanNCut machine to cut a couple of flowers and leaves and was happy that it cut nicely without the white border surrounding the image.

Lastly, I added a frame cut with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Die.  The sentiment is Fiskar's "Essential Sayings".

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate it!

Happy to see you are still making lovely cards. This one is softly elegant and beautiful in its simplicity. The stitching lines are a wonderful accent touch which pairs well with the ones on the flowers and leaves. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet Shirley, this is gorgeous! I love this flower and think you've colored it to perfection! You are so blessed to live in Hawaii where these grow natively! Love how you've used your ScanNCut machine, and what a beautiful frame for it! Totally elegant! Hugs, sweet friend! So lovely to see another one of your beautiful cards! xoxo

So Beautiful!!! I love the soft and pretty water color effect you got using the Zig markers, and your decision to use gold embossing. Everything is so well balanced and perfectly beautiful! I must say I am getting increasingly curious about the Scan and Cut!

Your bird of paradise are colored SO beautifully! We had a plant in our yard for many years but it grew much too wild. Seeing your card brings back happy memories!
