Di's Digi Stamp Challenge - Sports Related

This week's challenge at Di's Digi Stamps is Sports Related.  Winter sports are very popular in Alaska.  Although I'm not an ice skater I did enjoy creating with this sweet image called Winter Friends.

The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock, colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  It was then applied to Di's Snowy Scene digital image with dimension tape.  A Marvy snow marker was applied to the hat trim and heated for dimension.

I finished the card simply with a layer of gingham designer paper from Hobby Lobby, word stickers and organza ribbon from CTMH.

I would like to share my card with the following:

Beccy's Place December Challenge

Beccy's Place hosts a monthly challenge with a free digital image and an optional twist.  This month is Bingo.  It's an Anything Goes Challenge , but you must use an image from Beccy's Place to join the fun.  I hope you will stop by Beccy's Place and save this Free adorable digital image.  Beccy has provided it in both black & white and pre-colored.

I couldn't resist creating with this adorable snowman this month!  I printing the pre-colored image and layered it with Stampin' Up! Lovely Lilac card stock and Doodlebug Designs patterned paper.  I finished with a pom pom on his hat, Nuvo drops on his buttons, a glittery snow flake punch and gems from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - Winter

Today starts a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil.  The challenge theme for December is Winter.  We would love to see your Mo Manning images including snow, Christmas and any winter themed project.

I was the lucky winner of the October challenge and selected the adorable new Happiness Is digital image as my prize.   I was also asked to join the team this month as Guest Designer.  I'm not gonna lie... Mo's Design Team is so full of talented ladies that I was a little intimidated!   BUT Mo's digis are so fabulous and fun to color that this little card went together quickly.
The card base was created with a watercolor wash using distress inks.  Once dried, I splattered white acrylic paint using a toothbrush for a snowy effect.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut then layered over a wintery die cut from Memory Box.  I finished the card with a sentiment stamp from my stash.

Thanks for dropping by to take a closer look!  I hope you get a chance to join the Winter Challenge.  You have until December 31 to link up.

I would like to also share my card with the following:

Catch the Bug - Stella Says Sketch #601

Welcome to the first Stella Says Sketch Challenge of 2018!
We have a really versatile and fun sketch for you this time.  Of course, you don't have to use Bugaboo on your project but we love it when you do.

My card features the adorable Polar Bear image (grab him for $1!) which was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White, colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.
The card base was made using the smooshed ink technique with Tim Holtz distress inks.  A Country Landscape die cut from Memory Box and digital sentiment from Create with TLC were added.  Finally, acrylic paint was splattered onto the base using a toothbrush to get the really fine "Snowy" effect.

i {heart} card sketches with a tWist #135

It's no secret... I Love sketch Challenges.
a fun sketch (with a twist) each week.

It's also no secret that I Love the
Birdbrain line at FTHS.
I recently added the adorable
to my stash.
To further "protest winter" I've used bright
colors to offset the winter drabs.

I'm considering the snow piles as
our optional twist to include nature.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #105

I missed sharing with the nosey , I mean Sassy, ladies last week!!  Somehow the week got away from me.  Cheryl has given us two weeks to share this time around.  That gave me a little more time this week to find something to share.  :-)

Today we have gotten a fresh snowfall which is perfect for cross-country skiing with our pups.  Thankfully, that also means that our weather has warmed up!  We've seen several weeks of sub zero temperatures in Anchorage.  I thought I would share a few photos from our trip today:

Me, Bud and Gingersnap on the ski trail

Several of the trails are designated for mushers only.  Only in Alaska!

I thought this shot was pretty of the frozen creek where we ski.

Not terrific photography, but you get the general idea!  The first photo was taken with DH's iPhone.  The others with an older Olympus.  I would like to go back another day with my new camera.  Of course, photos never capture the beauty of the snowfall.

I hope you get a chance to play along with Cheryl's Challenge.  You can get all of the details on her blog HERE.  You might even win a couple of Cheryl's Sassy digital images by playing!
