CCS Sketch Challenge and RAK

Creative Clear Stamps has a brand new Design Team and they are smokin' hot already!!! Laura kicked off the first of their sketch challenges this week on the CCS blog: A Fairy Creative Place that I just had to try... (in fact, if you want to play along you have until Saturday).

I made this using the Sentiment Single Enjoy the Attention and some Fancy Pants patterned paper, The Daily Grind. I loved the four squares behind the focal image and turned my squares into Labels 9 dies... I added a bit of sparkle to this by stamping the circles from Friendship with Versamark and using Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

I also have a beautiful card to share that I received from a dear stamping friend in Croatia....

I received this beautiful card and some assorted ribbons and lace from Nina Brackett :o) Isn't this beautiful!! It has been a blessing getting to know her via blogging and STV and I pray one day we can meet face to face. Honestly, the friendships made via stamping have been such a blessing to me and I treasure each of you!

Friendship

One of the first stamp sets I received from Creative Vision was the set Friendship. For that reason, it holds a sweet little spot in my crafting heart.... the sentiments included in this set are just beautiful! I wanted to create a more autumn-like card so used the colors Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal paired with some Basic Grey Ambrosia. I recently bought some new Nesties and realized they are perfect for phrases and am sure they will work perfectly in the Sentiment Singles line of stamps as well!

Friendship

I love the sentiments in the stamp set Friendship.  I made this card using Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  I added just a hint of yellow for the flowers from the stamp set as well some yellow brads.  It is going to be a busy week, lots of baseball games and my parents are in town visiting for a few days.  In fact, today Grandma is making homemade Cinnamon Rolls with the grandkids and they are so excited.  The last time they made these together I was in the hospital having their little brother.  They are so good....Mmm!

Friends for Life

Creative Vision has their first challenge on their blog A Fairy Creative Place to create something layered with Red, White and Blue. Everyone is welcomed to join in on this challenge and create something to win a stamp set. The last day to enter is Friday, June 12 so you still have several days! :o)

I created this card using the stamp set Friendship.   My sweet Secret Sister sent me some star brads in a package recently and one worked perfectly for this card. The background paper is a patriotic designer paper I found recently at AC Moore. The sentiment was stamped with Vivid Brick ink on Whisper White cardstock and layered on red and navy cardstock. I am tickled with how it turned out :o)

CV Friendship SCR

I have really been bitten by the scrapbooking bug!  I have found that now I look for stamp sets that will work for both cards and scrapbooking.  When I received the set Friendship, from Creative Vision I just knew it was the perfect set for these pictures from my daughter's piano recital last year.   I like the varying fonts included in the set and they all work together so nicely!  

Nothing is sweeter than having a best friend and I am so thankful for the friends my daughter has.  She truly has been blessed with friendships that will last a lifetime and bring about many happy memories.

Friendship

Today marks my first official day designing for Creative Vision and I am excited to share some projects that I have created with these wonderful clear stamps. Just so you know, I am a picky person when it comes to clear stamps and I am beyond thrilled with the quality of these clear acrylic stamps. It gives me clear crisp impression every time. My card today uses the stamp set Friendship which includes some beautiful phrases and sentiments for those in your life that mean a great deal to you.  I used some dp I found recently at Hobby Lobby and do believe I will be heading back for some more.  It goes perfectly with the retired SU color Soft Sky (a favorite of mine and I have stockpiled quite a bit!)  I colored the paper flowers with SU markers to match the dp.
