Double SFYTT Orange & Pink ooh la la!!

Jen i{heart}2stamp always has a great sketch for you to try (SFYTT) on Saturdays and I have 2 to share with you today from the past 2 weeks! My first card is dedicated to Irene - she is the illustrator for the Doodlefactory Collection of Starving Artistamps which I adore! I'm honored that she takes the time to read my blog, anticipating my next creation using the stamps she has created. You may remember a few weeks back I made a pink Julius from the Country Collection. Well, her comment on that card was, "Haha, next up, an Orange Julius! :)" there was no way I couldn't make not make an Orange Julius after that comment! I handwrote the saying in the bubble quote, which, along with the doodles, circles & grass are from another DF set called DoodleDads!

This little pink number is from Gina K Designs new set Little Tees, illustrated by my friend Melanie. There are so many fun options in this set; you could create a t-shirt for so many occasions, people and events! She has a great tip sheet using her set on her blog and this is one taken from it. I like the spectrum pads that SU! used to sell and I have kept them all, especially this one because I love pink. Look at the soft blending of the colors the spectrum pads lend when you use a rubber brayering to apply. This card was simple to make but I think makes a big impact!

Loads of fun...with Baby Beebo

Twee is loadin' up the truck & taking the chickens for a ride. "Hey...get out of the way, I don't wanna run ya over", he says to the white chicken in the road, "hop on already we're goin' on a field trip!"

I think Beebo is the sweetest-looking baby rabbit there is! Since I didn't have a 'baby' in my Country sentiments and I have markers...I used them to ink up 'bad hare day' to complete my card! This cracked me up & I had a lot of fun using my swiss dots cuttlebug folder for his diaper and popping up his nose for dimension! Every time I make a card using Doodlefactory images, it cracks me up! Irene is an illustrating genius and I look forward to getting & making more creations using the stamps to share with you!

Sfen Misses You...

Here is my card for Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS (LSC179: Think Happy Thoughts) by Jeanne: Your challenge this week is to create a card that would make someone smile. It could be a bright and cheery colored card, or something funny. Your card can be in any theme. No limits on layers or embellishments this week. Have fun!

I didn't think this would be too hard - I just knew I would make a card with my new Doodlefactoy Country set you can get at Starving Artistamps. This is Sfen and just like all stampers...he LOVES getting happy mail instead of bills so here he is at his mailbox and there's no happy mail for him so he is sad. He's waiting to get a personal note from his BFF but still nothing. You know, sometimes a handmade card is all someone may need to make their day!

Why don't you make it a point to send one out today to let someone know you are thinking of them?! I mailed out 3 of them today - yea!!

p.s. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE: If you can't resist these DF images any longer...look at the right in my sidebar and get yourself some (for a 10% discount!) - they are sure to bring a smile (and laugh) to your face as you create with them! I know it does for me! Just imagine what it would do for the recipient?

p.s.s. BLOG CANDY: It's not too late to try your chance at getting a NEW Doodlefactory Set - the Great Outdoors along with Sentiments and BONUS stuff - check out the post here, spread the word about the blog candy! The winner will be announced tomorrow night! Pin It

2S4Y-Tickle Me Pink

I know I've said this before, but don't you just love that you can be creative when you stamp? think outside the 'norm' and break a few rules and it be o.k.? Well, I did that with this card of Julius from Doodlefactory Country Collection by Starving Artistamps!

As I was looking through my sentiments for the Country set, I saw this greeting and I can't recall {honestly} if it was my idea or John's idea [of course he will chime in with a comment on this post to take the credit regardless] to make Julius pink. But that's o.k. he likes to 'help' me with my stamping. One of these days I may catch him making something with my Doodlefactory Collections because he loves them so much!! I used the Laura's Sketch 5 from 2 Sketches 4 You for my layout. Julius' head is paper-toled for dimension. This card just makes me smile or shall I say it tickles me pink?!?
